Hawks are not looking to move Trae unless he asks to be traded

Trae is bought into Quin Synder

Trae is not seething he is “fine”

It has been 3 years in a row that Trae and his reps have seen the team duck the tax and make the team worse

There is reason for Trae and fans to be skeptical about this brain trust.

I personally want Trae to just threaten to leave to maybe add some hustle to this masterclass plan by the FO simply as a play to expedite our team structure.

If Trae is forced out of Atlanta I’ve already accepted my fandom will follow him. The Hawks are a perpetually stupid team and I’m tired of it.

All we have to do is what we should’ve done before the DJ trade – get some fucking defense and a good wing.

I’m not saying he’s on the same level or has the same cache as Giannis, but I wouldn’t mind if Trae put pressure on the FO to build a real team in the same way Giannis does

I will give Landry some credit:

    1) He inherited a dumpster fire roster

    2) The trade deadline market was not in high demand for starting PGs

    3) Clint Capela fell of a cliff this season

I think the Hawks saving grace was hiring Landry Fields and Quin Snyder. Had they not done that, I fully believe there would have been some serious uncertainty about Trae’s future here. I think this summer is make or break for the front office. They have to turn the page by moving on from some guys and they’d be twice as competitive.

Dump Capela, get those two firsts for Dejounte, draft a big strong motherfucker at backup center, start Kobe and Onyeka and put the two-ways in the rotation for next season.
