The Media Wants Donovan Mitchell OUT Of Cleveland

The Media Wants Donovan Mitchell OUT Of Cleveland

It has been very evident for some time that the media wants Donovan Mitchell out of Cleveland I’m sure cast fans knew this would happen after the embarrassing loss in the playoffs but for this long to be saying that he wants out of Cleveland is just absurd and very

Unethical for the media to do this with teams like the Knicks heat Lakers Nets and even the Warriors getting attention on the possibility of obtaining Mitchell for this long is nasty work done by the NBA media but Kobe Alman has made a statement for the NBA he said lose my number

The NBA is known for doing this though they want great players and superstars that are on small Market teams to go over to Big Market teams so they can get more Revenue they think of this league as no more than a business there has been many clear signs the NBA have doing

This as well not mentioning Mitchell as an MVP candidate after he averaging 285 and six in the second seat in the East and also not even to mention the snubber with the allar selections the NBA media is trying to talk as little good about Mitchell until he feels almost

Unrecognized and will eventually leave for a bigger Market team where he can actually be recognized this has been done by the media many times and it’s very clear they’re doing it to Mitchell as well now the rumors of Mitchell going into the Knicks are somewhat realistic he obviously wanted to go there initially

From the Jazz but there was other plans for him and since he has made it very clear that he bleeds Cleveland and is willing to do what it takes to make the Cavs a winning team once again but after the next rumors that’s what the NBA just

Started to run with it the Miami Heat are consistently at the top destination of list for Superstars around the NBA the latest of which is Donovan Mitchell arguably Miami’s greatest competition for Mitchell was the New York Knicks however since the New York Knicks acquired ojen noi in exchange for RJ

Barry and aminu quickly this trade places the Nicks out of contention for Mitchell due to a lack of assets the Miami Heat continu to have interest in Mitchell despite Cleveland’s don’t even call us approach Miami’s trade Pursuits of Bradley Beal and Damen Lo over the summer ended with neither player landing

On South Beach so they won Mitchell now as of right now the only reason why these teams are even calling for Mitchell is because the media is making them think that they actually have a chance of acquiring him but great news they don’t even have a sliver of a

Chance next up for the media’s plan was the Lakers the Cavs are now second in the East but Donovan Mitchell’s name keeps coming up in trade rumors anyways this is because Mitchell has just one year left on his contract before having the option to become a free agent once

The 2025 season concludes meanwhile signs continue to point to LeBron James staying with the Los Angeles Lakers through the trade deadline chances are with the Lakers sitting ninth in the Western Conference they will not see a blockbuster trade come out of this season that does not mean that the

Lakers front office is not trying to find creative ways to improve the roster running LeBron and Anthony Davis but landing a player like Mitchell will not happen at least not this off season but what about during the summer while the Lakers are still working the phone lines the team is experiencing trade

Complications due to the belief that they could trade for Donovan Mitchell later this off season they also add that the New York Knicks could also be a team with the Donovan Mitchell trade on the radar when the summer begins it’s hard to imagine a scenario the Lakers have

Enough to trade assets and land Superstar Donovan Mitchell without trading Anthony Davis or Lebron James the best piece the Lakers have to offer is Austin Reeves in several first round selections but that won’t be nearly enough for the Cavaliers to trade their best player even through all the times

The Cavs have made it clear Mitchell is not going anywhere the media is still not quitting and they’re getting irritated by this the final strw of this happened the other day on ESPN when Malika Andrews and Brian windhorse had to talk about the Cav’s recent success now there was good things said by

Richard Jefferson and Austin Rivers I just want to put that up but up until Andrew started speaking it was well known the Cavs were the two seed and have won 14 of their last 15 games but apparently she must have not been aware of this because she immediately starts

Blabbering on about how Mitchell should leave and the Cavs need to trade him because he’s just no way he’s resigning with this team probably the most complete team he’s ever had by the way just because of the location of the team now Mitchell has shown nothing but love

And all of his effort towards the Cavs players staff and fans I don’t see a world where he leaves that behind all because of a location of a team Mitchell has even joined the All-Star Weekend three-point challenge because his teammate Sam Maro who was not selected even though he should have been Mitchell

Will be a Cavalier long term and there is nothing more to say than that he is not leaving

The Media Wants Donovan Mitchell OUT Of Cleveland

  1. They want Mitchell to go to NY, L.A. or Miami not just for money, but a lot of these reporters only want to travel to major cities to cover teams and players because they want to live like a celebrity and rub elbows with celebrities. A lot of the NBA media today has become very lazy. They were pushing so hard for Giannis to leave Milwaukee and they're mad that he didn't go to Miami, NY or L.A. Speaking of that, Stephen A. and Molly Quierm took shots at the city of Milwaukee before the 2021 NBA Finals.

Everytime I hear all the Mitchell rumors; in the back of my mind I remember a podcast interview with Charles Barkley after LeBron returned to Cleveland where he said a lot of the national media made him mad that they weren't looking forward to going to Cleveland to cover LeBron. They said they didn't wanna go because it's too cold, and he said that they just wanted to be in Miami all the time. But, he pointed it out that it's cold in NY, Boston and Chicago. That always plays in the back of my mind.

  2. I think he'll probably leave. Just because we've seen it before. But I hope he stays. I kinda wanted the trade at the start of the season but I now think they can go places with this roster.

  3. If I’m Mitchell I don’t want to join NY, at least for now. He’s a competitor and they just sent him home so if it were me i’d want them in the playoffs for a rematch. Also NY chose Brunson over Mitchell so i’d take that as a slight. I’m not saying he shouldn’t go home to play I just think he should play a few years with this Cavs team first.

  4. Every time a superstar NBA player listens to social media or so called NBA analyst and leave a team for greater pastures. They generally fail and don’t have success or win a NBA championship. Carmelo Anthony was a prime example of leaving a small market team, Denver Nuggets and went to the New York Knickerbockers and NEVER won a NBA Title or appeared in the NBA Finals! Donovan Mitchell, shouldn’t let ESPN or any podcast or sports talk personality, persuade or encourage him to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers. The way this team is playing right now, he has just as good of a chance to get to the NBA Finals, without going to another team. HC J.B. Bickerstaff, has this team playing consistently at a high level. He could win NBA Coach of the Year, if they make it to the finals and win it all.

  5. Cleveland is a great city, and it’s truly a loss on behalf of those who have spent their lives listening to the lies and exaggerations the media has told the country about this place.

  6. I don't think many, if any, folks from Cleveland want Mitchell out. That is if Mitchell want's to stay. The Cavs have to trade him if he doesn't want to sign an extension. They have too much to lose and they have to recover what they lost when they traded for him. As to national news outlets like ESPN, they push teams they can generate the most revenue off of and teams who appear on their channels. If the Cavs are reported on ESPN, it may be in a single article hidden from most viewers. As to those "BIG" ex basketball players, they avoid the Cavs as much as possible. I waited one time on their show to get a Cavs big game update and they said at the end they ran out of time. That leaves you with that dimwit Knicks reporter. He knows nothing and wants Mitchell in NY in the worst way. I don't know that he has ever done anything sports worthy himself and should be thrown off TV. He should never be welcomed to Cleveland.

  7. I definitely think you’re right about how biased the coverage is but I just think the reasoning is a little off. The league’s biggest mid-career star plays in Milwaukee and its big young star plays in San Antonio. Nobody is saying they’re leaving. There was a time where what you’re saying was absolutely true but I actually think it was Lebron’s return to Cleveland that changed it. Cavs/Warriors was a huge deal for the league.

Or it’s just a cultural shift. I lived in NYC during Lebron 2.0 and OBJ with the browns. There were Cleveland jerseys everywhere, they were both on billboards. Nobody blinked because many people follow players now (sadly) instead of teams.

I think this actually comes down to something different: the NBA media’s out of control obsession with transactions. Yet another thing that might be blamed on lebron (the decision). It’s relentless. They always want to know “what’s next?”. Then, what DOES happen is that the media throws out big market destinations disproportionately during their speculation for “what’s next?” because it gets more clicks/views.

  8. Yes, they did this with LeBron. I think once they get to 11 games in the row.
    They have talk about him.

  9. The national media did the same thing with LeBron. However LeBron left Cleveland twice so maybe that's a bad example.

  10. media is the enemy of the people on everything Bruce Drennon was always right when he said the media are the worst people

  11. I was thinking the same thing. It was really annoying how they talked about the Cavs for 5 minutes then Malika derailed it to talk about Spida leaving. Like why would you even do that?

  12. This only happens in the NBA. This doesn't happen in the NFL, it certainly doesn't happen in the NHL. The only reason why superstar players go to NY or LA in MLB is because there is no salary cap, and those big market teams pay five times as much as small market teams. There, it makes sense sort of. But all the other leagues have salary caps. So, there is no real reason to want to go to Miami, New York, or LA, because you can't make any more going to those places. And let's face it. Unless you're in the NBA finals every year, your season is ending in mid to late April. You have four and a half months every year where you can go live where you want. I think that there is an inherent racial component at play here, where there's a lot of assumption that the mainly black players in the NBA that are really good want to go to LA, New York, or Miami, because that's where all the strip clubs are, and that's where they can go and have sex with as many whores as possible. No, I'm not naive enough to believe that isn't the case for a lot of these guys. Let's just say the NBA has a problem when it comes to fine up standing citizens. But, I got to believe that there are a few out there that see through this. Giannis stayed in Milwaukee. Jokic is in Denver. What's the point of going to New York? It's high taxes, it's high crime, it's every bit as cold there as it is anywhere else in the North. I sort of get it with Miami, because there is no state income tax. But it's also unbelievably miserable for about 6 months out of the year there because of the heat and humidity.

  13. Mitchell doesn’t care about how many wins he gets in the offseason bro genuinely wants to win a Championship , Mitchell is probably one of the most desperate guys in the NBA to wanna go to the finals and win a Championship . The cavs can finish the season with 60+ wins if Cavs don’t make it out the first as a Cavs fan i genuinely think Mitchell would wanna go and take the easy way out to win a chip. I think the only way Mitchell stays is if Cavs make it out the first round and at least win 3 games in the second round

  14. The Media is mediocrity hypocrite to what they say negatively thought ideas to create a narrative

  15. Yea he definitely wants out of one of the best teams in the nba and the hottest team in the league lol espn people are going to start saying the same with SGA even tho they are a top team with some of the highest attendance and a team that is going to be contenders for the next decade

  16. Welcome to the life of a Raptors fan listening to American sports media. OG was barely recognize before he went to the Knicks. Now all of a sudden the league is praising him non stop. Shits happening to Scottie Barnes right now😅

  17. As a Knick fan, we already have a superstar small guard we don’t need two. And for the record we do have eight tradeable first round picks, so we do have assets which as a Knick fan I’m hoping we re stashing those for a run at Malik Bridges.

  18. the media never wants the CAVS to have a top player. I noticed this when we got Lebron & until he resigned the 1st time they (steve a smith) just new he was going to NY. They havent done this with Giannis & Joker, these international players don't seem to care as much about market & teaming up with buddies.

  19. it's def a weird situation with donavan & the cavs. a lot of moving parts going on where it's really impossible to predict what happens with him & until it happens… his past statements of wanting to play in NY & his desire to leave a small market team in Utah. for some reason, he just seems like a big-market kind of guy. add on top of all that the fact that he's publicly stated he's not signing a contract until his current one is up, and it makes sense to think he'll bolt after next year. he's taking a HUGE gamble not signing a big deal now because if he suffers a big injury, he's screwed. so, why would he take such a big gamble like that if he didn't want out? but, in spite of all that, the cavs have proven to be one of the best-run franchises in the league. koby Altman has been lights out as GM/president, & jb Bickerstaff has really proven himself as HC this year. their player development has been excellent too, and when it boils down it, this Cleveland team & roster likely gives Donovan his best chance at winning a title and for sustained success with how young & talented their core players are. in the end, we might not know until the summer of 2025 what donavan decides to do. if they make a deep playoff run this year and are set up for a title run next year, even if they KNOW he's leaving, they likely would have to swallow the lost draft picks and keep him for all of next year & take the gamble while trying to win a ring.
