“Everything happens for a reason, I’m happy as hell here.”

So apparently on Fedor podcast Ethan mentions that after the Brooklyn game he overheard Donovan commenting on grimes being traded and said that “I’m not good enough to be traded for grimes”. At the time the Knicks refused to add grimes into the deal for Donovan. Then after they overheard Donovan saying what the title states. This is the most recent piece we have of Donovans head space on whether or not he resigns. This doesn’t prove anything but it’s nice to hear him say this.

  1. This kind of reminds me the whole Jimmy butler clip of him saying Tobias Harris over me. Donovan feels slighted that the Knicks didn’t try harder to get him. Which tells you how the Knicks felt about Donovan. If Donovan was their guy they would have done the deal. The truth seems that the cavs thought of Donovan as a superstar and the Knicks didn’t. The cavs are also willing to give Donovan a lot of control over the team. The cavs took a risk of getting Donovan and so far Donovan is repaying it to the cavs. I don’t have a doubt that Donovan will play in New York once in his career. But I would now bet money that Donovan signs that extention

  2. While how we do in the playoffs could matter, Mitchell seems to be giving his all to the franchise. There seems like there’s a lot of trust on both ends and I think both sides have been rewarded by it. So far it’s been a very beneficial partnership on both sides. If you think you have a good thing going and you can get the most money here, it might not make much sense to walk away. Especially in a world where you can probably get traded in a few years, if things go south.

  3. No one is good enough to lead a team to a Chamoionship until they do. Even LeBron had doubters right up until.
