So earlier today I posted a tweet on Twitter as one does or X basically stating what I think the ideal starting lineup for the Miami Heat is now that’s not really the main topic of this video I’ll have a whole other video about that at some point but just for some

Reference I had Scary Terry Duncan Robinson Jimmy Butler bamama AO and kame hame HZ junor now the main push back that I got on that was a bunch of people saying Nico yo oh yic would start put yic at the four I trust yic and I get it

The last two games that yic has played W everyone’s been hurt he has shown a lot of potential to be great and that’s because well I think he does have a ton of potential to be great matter of fact I’d put money that he be that he’s going

To be an amazing player one day I just don’t think that day is right now and that’s why before the trade deadline I had a bunch of videos out trying to get guys like dear or Lar marketing and I had yic in a lot of the trade packages

And people really didn’t like that back then now that’s also when yic was starting in that period of time cuz everyone was hurt again because they the MIM heat and I kind of told Heat fans I said yeah yic is playing well now he’s showing a lot of flashes to be great but

As soon as everyone gets healthy he’s likely going to be out of the rotation again and that’s exactly what we saw now before I get into kind of some stats in my my full opinion I do want to referen all of this by saying that I understand

He is a literal child he’s 20 years old now he’s been playing pro basketball since he was like a jit right so that’s why this NBA is probably nothing to him but that being said he will he has a ton of room for improvement obviously and I’m not expecting him to be super

Consistent at 20 years old I mean when I was 20 years old what was I doing well no I I was definitely a Hooper at 20 years old don’t get it wrong and I’m still a Hooper to this day and I was also probably struggling with like computational tools or differential

For me so I can get some rest thank you Dam guys who have kind of been there before and can maybe supplement his game help him him out instead of him playing with backups in the starting lineup or Caleb Martin or Hayward heith or whatever con conglomeration of of players that suppos

To thr out there I get it I do think uh doovic could be better if he was playing alongside those guys and ideally his skill set fits well I mean a 610 guy that could facilitate like that that could shoot his ass off his form is absolutely beautiful he gets great Arc

Great follow through and obviously at 610 that’s ideally something you’d like to see next to Bam andab now I won’t say the fit is perfect because although he’s 610 he’s not really a great rebounder but still they have trouble on the offensive side and he is great on the

Offensive end now I do want to say though I think it was like a 10 game stretch earlier this season when when he was the starter and everyone was hurt his numbers weren’t as great as we think and I think that’s something that doesn’t get talked about enough he was

Averaging seven points a game uh five rebounds two assists but he was 38% from three which is very good but 37% from the field anytime your field goal percentage is worse than your three-point percentage that’s not a great thing particularly for a 610 guy

Who had a lot of layups at The Rim that he just couldn’t convert so that kind of brings me to the first flaw in his game right now which is his touch at The Rim which frankly I just don’t think is great uh on the season as a whole he’s

Averaging six points a night 45% from three which is amazing but then only 43% from the field So that obviously goes to show that he’s missing and a lot of two-pointers there do I have that 45% correct yeah he he’s at 45 a 12% so 46%

From three if you round up like I said the boy is a sniper so for that reason alone I don’t hate him in the starting lineup but in addition to his poor finishing at The Rim he does have some other flaws as well this season as a

Whole he’s averaging 16 minutes a night and in those 16 minutes he’s also averaging two fouls a game if you go to that game versus the Milwaukee Bucks he was incredible 24 points dishing the ball all over the place right and then the very next night versus 76ers he

Played like 14 minutes because he had four fouls very early on so all of that to say that he’s not great on the defensive end fouls a little bit too much has some a tendency to maybe push a little too hard and turn it over which makes sense because he’s 20 years old

But if I’m trying to win a championship right now I don’t think he’s the ideal fit in the starting lineup because he does have too many obvious flaws in my opinion that he has yet to have time to work on that’s why in my opinion I kind

Of like hameh Hopkin at the four because we know this Heat team struggles to score so I kind of prefer to have him instead of Haywood or Caleb because I do think he’s a little bit of a better scorer and I trust him a lot more on the

Defensive end than Nico yovic he’s not locked down by any means but I would I I think it’s safe to say that jameh hakz is undoubtedly better on that side of the ball and obviously he’s a bucket as well so I don’t feel like there’s that

Much of a drop off now you have a slight drop off with the shooting of course from the three-point line but although hameh hakus has been very cold of late I believe he’s still hovering around like 38% from three on the season which is still very very good and I think it’s

Good enough to to give enough spacing for your guys like Jimmy and Bam to attack and obviously at 22 years old although he’s a rookie he is a lot more polished than Nico yovic for that reason reason I like them at the starting four now if you disagree with me let me know
