Um I’m just curious what it’s been like for you um just having uh a point guard as your first year head coach what it’s like been learning under chy this this season um yeah having chy as a head coach and as a as a mentor he tells me I

Can go go to him whenever you know and having that on my side and having him as a head coach it it means a lot cuz you know you could trust you can trust him I could trust him um I could trust the the information he’s given me I could trust

Um like he’s coming from cuz he told me he he was me and as as a young point guard coming into the league um just learn learning the game learn learn how to be a real PG so I could trust him yeah do you think he’s harder on you

Because of that maybe um I take hard coaching very well when I was growing up my dad he was he was really hard on me um and teach me lessons and you know I’m I’m glad that I went through the things that I did when I was younger than then

Learning them now and you know I had coach Hart last here Jason hard he’s he’s not easy to to be coached by so um chy is you know he coached me hard but it’s not you know it’s it’s more information rather than you know just pounding on and you’ve you’ve had your

Trials obviously the season you had an early season ankle injury um you know the shots probably not falling recently has been um just how how do you keep your confidence through this season who who’s been helping you along the way my damn self my dam self um just always having that confidence me

Know knowing knowing that shots are falling and knowing how to how to you know make him go in it and that’s technique and that’s getting back to back getting back to how I how I train at home and um mentally just making sure I’m always locked in you know reading

Books rather than playing a game all day one day you know so little things like that really just keep me um locked into to a te at at that and um you know that confidence just comes from me understanding that I am who I am you

Know and I and I Ain still you know am a dog so just knowing that in the back of my mind it gives me all the all the confidence I need myself what do you think are like the the things that you need to unlock like what you see for

Yourself like are they little things are they you know is this a years long process I think most of it is is little things and and just continue to understand the game continue to understand and um certain situations of the whole basketball game whether it’s

You know time on the clock um you know time management a point guard you got to you got to watch those things the whole game rather than you know the big fell making sure I’m good you know what I mean I got to make sure the big fell

Good at some point so um just little things like that I think that make me a very great point guard in this league you’ve been here I think this is like your third year so um just like how do you envision your career like obviously

You want to get back to this on the stage where on Sunday right yes sir um I think that’s just going to come with with time and um and in the process you know and it’s in God’s hands you know all I can do is put the work in and

Trust the man above so that’s what I’m going to keep doing thank you so much Scoops kind of a short game there but a lot of energy from your guys out there how do it feel to kind of get out and get it going um it felt good you know we

Just played last night so we on the the the back end of a back to back so um I feel good I’m usually good on back to backs you know this the second day but uh it feels good just to get some bump in and with the guys around the league

Young guys around the league really making a name for theel it’s a quick turn to kind of learn how to play with some guys that you’re not used to how’ you guys kind of figure it out the s we know who each other are obviously and we know each other’s strengths and um

And I think we just go off off of that and we just the coaches they was telling us push it so you know a lot of us on the team we we on fast-paced team so um it kind it was kind of easy good nice job thank

You Australia just two questions on your Australian teammates rep today that D might signing a new yes sir yes bro yes is but uh you know I’m I’m really really proud of w and um people don’t see it a lot but W works man he works every time

I go back in gym he he in there breaking the sweat already um and with shooting with the gun and stuff like that shooting shooting gun but um man w w is a worker W is a worker and you know he’s he’s got this

Far cuz he put that work in and uh you know I’m proud of him and I’m glad that we’re teammates yeah what’s these impact been like this year cuz you know obviously in Australia we knew skill want to get R but yeah W yeah W’s impact

You know first first game was in the G killed them and you know he got caught up or whatever and he was he’s just been on the tear ever since and um I think his impact to the game is stretching the floor at at a very high level he’s not

Just knock down one or two games he’s every game we we put our trust in that he’s going to knock that pop shot back so um you know we trust him you know as a team I trust him you know as a point guard playing with him and you know it’s

Going to be fun for the next couple years and then moving on to t you know what’s it like to play with them what have you learn from them this year yeah playing with te I’m just glad that we’re on the same team um cuz man he he’s in

That passing Lane like like anybody else he like the best to do it um he’s been on all defensive teams for a reason and you know I I see that now that I’m in the league rather than watching from afar um just little things that he’s he

Does u in practice and the little things he does in games that really impacts it you know against Denver He Man like three three four steals in a row and you know that’s just like sometimes he amazes me like and I’m like how but it’s like only only one person in the world

Has that type of talent it’s him couple more minutes y hey scoot talk about that uh little heesy fake you had in the layup uh the first one I had shot like a a fullback so I was like oh he definitely going to go for this HEI I

Was about to shoot it though but he came up so far I’m like and it was chess so he’s pretty long there no way he can jump and get back I was like let me just hurry up get to the room and then Walker came over and I just tried to go around

Him you know great shot blocker but tried to finish around him should have finish over him but it be like that and this is your third Rising Stars game talk about your level of excitement from your first one to your third one is it

The same I think it is the same I think um my first year I was more like oh my goodness it’s over with like I’m I’m here I’m finally here but I think the my first year as a rookie my year as a rookie um it’s just a bit different you

Know um the fact that I’m in the league and and uh a point guard in this league and you know rookie or whatever so just try to go out there and have fun what do you remember from that first time with Ignite um I remember not getting the

Ball like mad possessions in a row I remember hitting like hitting a shot over my teammate and that’s about it and and also getting my name caught on stage and everybody was like Schoo that was my first time ever hearing that that was fire good did you have a question one

More yeah uh game really appears to be slowing down for you in the NBA what’s been the biggest key for that now you’re really starting to like hit a stride now what do you think is I think just just learning all my lessons uh early was was

Very was very great for me as as an individual and as a point guard um on a young team um and ever since you know I learned those lessons I just try never to go back to them you know all the film watching what I’m doing with p p jeder
