There’s a reason for that um but you know what you know everyone’s going to be like oh wow what was John Collins doing and who was he throwing it to and why was it so high and it was just a brutal play but low marinan had a corner three that he

Missed you know so John Collins makes that rebound but that’s because Lowry marinan missed the game-winning shot you know and Colin seon got a great inbound play set up by Will Hardy speaking of Will Hardy slob Master man and for those who don’t know slob Master sidelined out of bounds you know

He gets that play set up Colin seon has a I mean the Jazz got two wide open Corner threes what else could you ask for right what else could you want they got him they just didn’t hit him so this was a game the Jazz should have won but there

It also shows the flaws of this team uh when you go through the different players like Markin this was his worst game of the season no doubt and so he’s going to need some rest you know he needs a break he really does I mean I know he’s going to do the Three-Point

Contest but I hope he gets um can he get all the foot rubs and all the the massages and the sleep in times and and all of that cuz he needs the rest and he needs a break you know cuz the Jazz need him if they’re going to convey this pick

Which I think they’re going to do I’m you know what I may be the last one that thinks it but I think they’re going to convey it because I think we’re seeing the talent you know I expected some like Keon George to start playing well and I

Was right sorry I was right uh and I think they’re going to continue to play well tonight should have showed you everything you need to know yes it sucked they lose but they still have post All-Star break and it’s plenty of games left the season is far from over

And I think they can convey that pick um and then we’ll see what they have what happens next season but I think they go fullon uh youth movement um unless they’re just tanking completely I guess we’ll see but anyways so John Collins you know that play was

Brutal and you could tell he was just heartbroken over it which actually you know when you can see a player cares that much and he was making big plays at the end of the game too by the way big time rebounds diving for balls getting rebounds I mean they’re not even close

To that with you know Collins was a big time player in this game you know I know some of the defense in the first half was terrible but he wasn’t the only one defending marinin you know he needs a break because his defense was bad too it

Was just not very good but he was a plus eight in this one and his presence by the way one thing that was interesting Keon had an incredible night keante completely shifted the defensive Focus From the first half off of Markin and onto him and what it did is opened up everything

For marinin so that in that second half he actually started contributing and he actually has pretty decent you know this isn’t typical L marinin from three but it’s actually pretty decent uh and so that really showed you what can happen with this Jazz team if they can get star

More star power on this team now they need more they need more seon is great but I don’t know if he has that gravity that keontay George was pulling in you know some threes I like I’ve talked about I don’t know if I’ve talked about on this channel but you know like

There’s certain baseball players that when they hit that baseball how that ball just like cracks off their bat and there’s just like some guys that you know Ken griffy Jr and guys like that where when they hit that ball it’s just different and it has like a certain

Level of gravity and Keon has that you know with those threes and him hitting nine tonight unbelievable at one point he was like six for seven from three you know he hit nine which is a record tying amount of Threes in one game for a jazz player

Where I want him to just come out get the ball you’re freaking lari marinin you’re good get that ball dominate a matchup now I think he’ll get that a little bit with uh Keon George as he improves you know and as the Jazz bring on more players you can see how he will

Get back to his old self but I would like to see lry marinin just kind of impose his will and his star power a little bit you know I just want to see him be the man and this the rest of the season you know we’re talking about development for Taylor Hendricks and

Keonte George but I think there’s development opportunity here for marinan this is his team if he wants it to be you know he can have he can be as good as he wants to be with this team but he’s got to get that ball he’s got to

Dominate it you think Kawhi Leonard is is just passively wanting them to pass him the ball no he’s going and he’s getting that ball and he’s going to dominate a possession and that’s what I want to see from Larry marinin I just want to see more of that you know cuz I

Want to see him take that next level now maybe he can’t do it but I think he certainly can improve we’ve already seen him improve in some ways so I just want to see that I think this is an opportunity these last you know post All-Star break this last third

Of the season I want to see more of that more more uh big time uh just impact on the game uh Walker kler he gets pulled at the end because the Jazz were down 10 and it was the right move because the Jazz nearly won

The game uh John Collins comes in I felt like Kessler had a pretty good night although you know you look stat-wise six rebounds two assists and four points I think there could have been a little more impact there there is one thing that I want to talk about with Kesler

That I have seen and they talked about on the show tonight Walker Kessler is turning into a good free free throw shooter finisher to imaginary why doesn’t it show me the full name let me heart this finisher to imaginary something it doesn’t show me the full thing D dwcb I’m sorry being

NBA.com too and just see if it’s doing its freaking job um are you doing your job tonight look at this oh it’s filled okay so Walker kler was oh he did take the three oh that would have been so nice if he’ hit that three at the end of the half or whatever

It was but you look at his stats here and what is his free throw percentage at now he’s 10 of his last 12 that puts him at 56% so he’s improving look at that so that’s 5% percentage points you know you know who else did that Rudy goar Rudy

Goar started off as like a 50% free throw shooter and he got it into the 70s uh same thing a guy named Carl Malone was a bad free throw shooter 50% or so when he came in the league by the end of his career he was like a 75 upper 70s

Free throw shooter so uh Walker Kessler doing that it’s nice to see it shows a nice trajectory for him by the way if you can hit free throws that improves your ability to score by one to two points a game and those points matter

And you can play players at the end of a game if a guy can’t make free throws we’ve already seen a couple times with Kessler where they’ve done hack of Kesler and and he’s making the free throws now so really nice to see that’s something to watch as the season goes on

But it’s you know that’s an extra point or two every game which which matters on a night like tonight you think an extra point or two doesn’t matter typically Utah might be 136 135 or something so it’s going to keep getting better dirty Jazz Car Wash Channel coming in strong

That oil go into the gaskets and everything they kind of sputter and and things are like not quite there yet it’s going to smooth out it’s going to smooth out and that engine is going to purr baby it’s going to purr and it’s going to be nice and when he starts

Defending and he’s knocking down threes he’s going to be a 40% three-point shooter by the way that’s going to be a reality he’s going to shoot 40% from three he’s going to be an elite Defender he’s showed a little mid-range game the sky’s the limit you know so it’ll be

These tlin Horton Tucker minutes and these Taylor hendri minutes are a little tough you know Hendrick can actually shoot the ball though and he’s a better Defender than funo he’s just super raw he really is like an uncut gem he just needs more time more minutes but man has

Like what if the Jazz do a good job like they trade all their vets they trade John Collins they trade Colin ston they trade Jordan Clarkson and they’re just down to young players it’s going to be hard to win a ton of those games and they get like top five pick

Next year maybe they get lucky and they win and they get Cooper flag and maybe the Jazz like you know Taylor Hendrick longterm more than marinan or maybe marinan gives them this feeling like he might not be there long term they might entertain a trade that they’ve set up

Kind of the parameters this year but maybe they relent a little bit next offseason who knows next offseason a lot of these teams are going to have much more assets that that was one of the interesting things about this trade deadline is there were not a lot of

Assets to be had out there you know Utah has a ton of assets assets OKC has a ton of these assets a lot of these teams don’t have them to trade but those replenish this off season there might be a team out there willing to really just go for it and

There and gets those boards and that wins games like we said at the beginning of the show it’s the little things and he has the chance to be one of those guys that does a lot of the little things that win you basketball games block shots rebounds um contests that

Force the other team to miss things like that he’s got a lot of that in his game for on the defensive end and then offensively he can be just a knock knockdown shooter so uh I don’t know if he’s going to ever have a great handle

But maybe why not he’s only he’s brand new I mean how old is Taylor Hendrick 69 is just 20 years old you know he’s so young so you never want to say a player can only be this because there are guys that just figure things out and they just get better every
