Shout out to AK and Eversley for being terrible at their jobs!

Lavine frustrates me because last year he put up 25-5-4 on 49/38/85 splits in 77 games, plus I thought he (and mini DeRozan) were HUGE reasons the Bulls won that first play in game. But him playing loser basketball completely torpedoed any value he had (plus the injuries). He’s not on a good contract but he is a good player. It’s just frustrating as a Bulls fan.

Vucevic has been awful and should be on the list.

That’s funny, ’cause for years, Dunc’d On has been in my top 5 nba podcasts to avoid.

I mean, both are undoubtedly very bad contracts. That said, they didn’t seem that way when they were signed (and I think most Bulls fans thought both were pretty good contracts when they were signed). Also, AKME have done a good job of getting some great contracts, too (Coby, Caruso, Ayo, Drummond…).

Lonzo is a worse contract than Vooch. Id rather have an average declining center for 3 years than a guy that probably won’t play another game for 2 years

So LaVine is a hyper efficient 25 PPG scorer for 4 seasons straight and one awful 20 game stretch is just gonna define him from now on? Ok. Sure.

The Vuc contract was about his market value but obviously his efficiency cratering would make it a really bad contract.

  6. I don’t think Vuc’s contract is that bad. Compared to some bad contracts in the league his is relatively fair. Now Lavine, yeah. I don’t necessarily blame AKME for giving him the max but it was pretty obvious that he’d never play up to the max contract he deserved at the time. The injuries since have just made it worse. But even without injuries, this is typical for guys that earn the max on bad teams but aren’t really a top 15 player in the league.
