Idk how long LeBron lasts but Id feel very confident about AD being 1A surrounded by DLo, AR, Vando, and Rui going forward

AD is much more for the Lakers than what Pippen was for the Bulls.

Never watched pippen play live but AD is a offensive god compared to him

I think AD is a natural 1B and that’s not wrong by any means. The issue at times is with Bron aging he is expected to be more than what he is capable of.

  5. This guy is the most overrated coach of all-time.

He has Pippen mind set with Jordan skills…His mentality is like a role player but he needs to have a Superstar mentality. Go Lakers!

AD is playing at his absolute peak right now, but don’t expect him to have another gear like the real upper echelon of ATGs of Lebron or MJ caliber come deeper in playoffs. He doesn’t have that hidden 5th or 6th gear that he can summon at will so often times when in a real pressurized situation that’s when he’ll turn into Pippen mode and lean into what he does best ‘DEFENSE’. That’s where Lebron comes in. You see it in playoffs, you see it very recently in IST. It’s just a very very different type of gear shift from mere mortals. AD ultimately can’t tap into that level at will. He can be the best Human(Hector) performer as he can be, but he’ll never be Achilles (Lebron or MJ) to put it on mythological perspective. So you see him outperforming LEbron everyday in regular season that’s because Lebron allows it. It’s ultimately beneficial for the team and for him as it allows him to age gracefully. It’s what smart people do. But suddenly in playoffs you’ll see something different.

2020 Davis had everyone asking if he was better than LeBron. And honestly being a Pippen means being #2 and Pippen is an all time great in his own right. But there’s also level’s to #2s.

  9. I think for a period of time spanning from the mid 00s to pretty much recently, it was very hard for a traditional big to be a legit contender’s centerpiece. Offensively, there was just too much they couldn’t do. On the other hand, the changes in perimeter defense and the introduction of heavy PnR offenses in the mid~late 00s really enabled guards to dominate the game.

But, I feel like with the progression of their skill-sets and the modernization of the use of DHOs, it’s much more possible to run a modern offense through a big now. Unfortunately, AD at this point might be too old to really get the most out of the modern NBA.

As for what Doc said, I think some of it might be AD’s mentality. But, as I’ve already detailed, a lot of it is also just the offensive role he has been put in. For the most part, it’s not like when AD has a good mis-match, he’s dodging that shit. No, he’s scoring when he has his opportunities. Over the last month, AD has been averaging 5 apg and that is what I think is actually going to open up his potential as an offensive centerpiece.

Who cares what this fraud has to say about our players? Awful take by the way.
