Giannis Antetokounmpo: ‘We have to stop feeling bad about ourselves, I’m tired of this’

>“Personally, I have to keep on pushing,” Antetokounmpo told The Athletic. “If I have to talk more in the film sessions like I’ve been doing all year, if I have to f—ing grab the f—ing board and write something down — if I don’t, I don’t know — but you cannot just let opportunities like this go to waste. “I feel like I don’t want to look back and be like, ‘Damn, I had some great teams and I wasn’t able to get over the hump.’ We have to stop feeling bad about ourselves. I’m tired of this. We have to stop doing that. Things are not going to be given to us. We have to go and take it. Like I’ve played with guys that never felt bad about themselves. Came in, did their job, went home, did their job, went home, did their job. That’s what we have to do. We’re not doing it right now, but hopefully we can do it.”

“I dont know why Giannis would say that. I’m feeling pretty great tbh” – doc probably

The bucks should’ve listened to Reddit and hired Budenholzer back. They ruined their chances at a championship this season by signing Doc Rivers

i want to see giannis stick his whole arm up docs ass and work him like a puppet and say doc sucks

The juxpasition of this quote combined with his “I don’t watch film, I know nothing about my opponents” quote is a bit jarring.

Giannis is kind of a weird leader. Doesn’t mean he is a bad one

The team is not as good as it has been in the past despite the addition of Lillard. The bench is abysmal imo, especially when Pat is not playing well. Still 20+ games to figure things out, though.

Giannis already throwing shades at Glen. /s

I’m getting pretty sick of this “bucks need to do more” narrative. The way they’re talking, you’d think they were in danger of missing the playoffs, rather than being the 3 seed.

Giannis wants a team maate who just do their job and go home. Jokic is that kind of player.

Giannis-Jokic pairing would end the league probably.

Somebody buy Giannis a mirror so he can find the problem. He’s a serial coach killer.

Can’t fix when your bigs continue to drop coverage on them PnRs

Oh what could have been if he didn’t have that back injury…..they haven’t been the same since.

Apart from giannis, what parts of the team have been exceptional, Brooks offensive numbers are down and his defence hasn’t been DPOY calibre, like it was last year. Dame’s 3pt percentage is in the toilet and Middleton when healthy, has looked like he’s playing at 75%. This isn’t a championship winning team, especially with doc at the helm.

I hope your pep talk works bud cause if not, I got some bad news for you. Dame, Khris and Brook are old as fuck and Bucks dont have FRPs for the next few years to come.

Then ask for a trade to the Warriors specifically.

guy who is most responsible for messing things up: we need to stop playing the blame game and look forward

Giannis has finally fallen prey to the final horseman of NBA stardom; having to win despite having Doc Rivers as a coach.

Doc Rivers, a man whose only legacy is lowering the ceiling and spirit of any team.

Doc Rivers, the cowardly snake who would throw anybody under the bus to hide his shame.

Doc Rivers, NBA record for blown 3-1 Leads.

Doc Rivers, the man with the least impressive championship of all time. Mainly because he is a terrible coach, with rotations based on his own coke-addled fugue.

I hope there is a god simply so I know there is some divine comedy at play. I have begged and pleaded with every deity, each pantheon, and yet still the embarrassment persists. I do not wish for better days, only for Doc Rivers to take up golf and keep his degeneracy cordoned off in a sector of the world far removed from man.

TL;DR – Doc Rivers is a fucking ghoul. Anybody who hires him should get waterboarded. Anybody under him should be given Abuse Counseling. Fuck Austin Rivers too, little nepo-bust peaked as a 7th man and would’ve been out the league without daddy. Imagine saying anything to JJ, a man with a career not beholden to dickriding.

Last season wasn’t a failure. Why would anyone feel bad for them?
