  1. It’s hard to glean much from highlights, but from what’s in this video — doubt that he will be sticking. Small guard who relies heavily on athleticism (but doesn’t have 100th percentile athleticism like Ja).

His shot needs to be money for him to have a chance. Like Malachi was a better playmaker and defender, but he couldn’t stick because he couldn’t make his shots.

For those interested, there’s another Marquette point guard in the draft this year who is _very_ similar but a strict upgrade in most ways — Tyler Kolek. Both lefties, both around the same size, but Kolek is just so much better as a playmaker and shooter. They’re about the same age (Kolek is a few months younger), but Kolek has shown more as a shooter at this point in his career. Winning player, does all of the intangibles. Depending on how we spend our Indiana pick, Kolek is a name to watch with our Detroit pick

Another lefty! Great vertical leaping. Would rather see Freeman-Liberty get some minutes though.

  3. Looks like GP2, short guy throwing down ally-oops all over the place.

It’s like if you combine Lowry, Ja, and Steph, you get D.J. Carton.

I can’t get over the bucket 0:30 lol, and not sure in a good way or a bad way. Like the Steve Kerr “what the f- nvm okay fine” gif.

He picked up his dribble going to his weak side AT THE FT LINE, with 4 defenders collapsing and no one cutting. There are other clips in the vid where he picks up his dribble super early and manufactures something with his athleticism. I can’t help but think he won’t be able to get away with this against higher competition.

    edit: typo

I’m hopeful for him but doesn’t pass the eye test

He lost the ball multiple times dribbling and in super sceptical if those finishings around the rim work against NBA bigs.

But I’m excited to see new guard blood!

He’s fun to watch. Rooting for him to succeed
