Rockets Rattle Off Seven-Straight Wins
Three meetings in the Battle of I75 are in the books with all three going to the Rockets now since the loss to Ball State the Toledo Women’s Basketball team has been on quite the Rampage rattling off seven straight wins the Rockets 8868 victory over rival Bowling Green marks
Their fourth 20 plus Point win during this stretch as Toledo is keeping Pace with Ball State a top the max standings with an 11-1 record the players and head coach Trisha cullup believe that loone conference loss to the Cardinals helped push this team to Peak at the right
Time we probably needed that that uh L to just get us going and just to let us know that we’re not here but we have to keep fighting for everything that we have and you know people say uh you know when you at the top you you you forget
About what’s going on or whatever but um I feel like when we at the top it also pushes us a lot like it pushed us to stay up there and just to know that we have that spot Hill right there you know we always preach um It’s Never As Good
As It Seems and it’s never as bad as it it seems we’re still going to go back and show them film of things we could have fixed from this game uh we don’t go back and say we won by 20 we played great that’s not always true sometimes
You can lose and play really well and so I think keeping a good perspective and I think that’s what my captains do they keep a good perspective and they keep this team grounded uh because you can’t in this league you can’t ever act like you’ve arrived you’ve got to have some
Humility because if you don’t someone will humble you and uh We’ve have some really good teams in this league that are very well coached uh we want to peek at the right time and I think we’re we’re getting there we’re not there yet we’re getting there and I’m really proud
Of the progress we’ve shown since the Ball State game uh and I do hope that we continue to be hungry all the way through to the end because this team is capable of very special things
