Was Watching Jeff Teague’s podcast and Draymond mentioned how KD and Steph were able to figure it out as a duo

It’s interesting to hear stories of how all-time great duos were able to figure it out. Such as the likes of Shaq and Kobe, Wade and Lebron and KD and Steph have won 2+ championships together .

Draymond mentioned KD and Steph didn’t click right away. Them losing the Christmas game against the Cavs in 2017 helped them. He mentioned like after that game Durant just sort of let Steph know not to defer to him much, told him to be himself.

I’ve heard Giannis have said many times for Dame to be Dame. Obviously it’s a different scenario KD joined Steph while Lillard joined Giannis. But the interesting aspect is that both guards struggle on how to defer to the other duo. But at the end it has worked out for Steph.

And I firmly believe once Lillard figures out to play in his comfort zone within the team I.e. not hesitating to hit to 40 footers etc The playoffs with Giannis and Dame will be one for the ages.

They will be ready come playoff time. So excited to watch some more Bucks basketball 😎

  2. Also it’s important to know that Dame is a streaky scorer. In order for him to be successful he needs multiple possessions almost in a row to get in rhythm then after a couple buckets in a row he becomes red hot once he’s red hot he kind of stays hot the whole game. He needs a full quarter for himself. To me Giannis needs to take over the game during the first half. And switch to the high pick and roll and have Giannis play a more defensive role down the stretch and let Dame take over. Have Dame distribute early and get Giannis and Khris going on early while he takes over from the third quarter moving forward. I’ve watched almost a decade of Dame basketball and I’ve noticed that, he needs to get in rhythm to find his groove and then he starts making stupid long and hard off the dribble 3s and completely takes over.
