During Friday’s game, Trae Young suffered a left-hand injury. He underwent an MRI yesterday, which revealed a tear of the radial collateral ligament (RCL) in the fifth finger of his left hand. He will undergo surgery to repair the RCL on Tuesday and will be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Hope Trae gets better and the injury is unfortunate but it’s the best thing that can happen to us ATM. Kobe can get some run as a ball handler in NBA minutes. Maybe the front office finally realizes the season is cooked and moves towards the young guys.
Dejounte can get more minutes and up his trade value playing as the primary point guard. Finally we can drop a spot or two in the standings and secure a better pick.
Next season Trae will be better, we can retool our roster and we will have a great pick too. The Grizzlies are doing this. The Warriors have done this. The Mavs sat Luka last season to maximize their pick. We are forced into doing this which I’m fine with.
