[Charania] The Philadelphia 76ers are signing guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. to a two-way NBA deal out of first-place Delaware Blue Coats affiliate, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Dowtin, who played for Nick Nurse in Toronto, has averaged 21.4 points and 7 assists in last 12 G League games.

   good for him, but let’s not overhype Dowtin Jr. like the Raps missed out on the next Kobe or something.

   he was very mid for the Raps, and guys like him bounce around between G-League teams and NBA teams for a reason.

   the rare time someone turns into a legit NBA role player, but generally guys like him are missing a key piece to breaking through and being a regular NBA contributor.
