    We split the series and didn’t look like ass on the road, I’ll take it! We were pretty hot from 3 tonight (which based on the whole season this ain’t gonna last), but other than that there was a lot of good to see. Also, lots of friendly fire tonight between the Suns for some reason. Hope Nurk and Booker are good, but that Booker injury unfortunately looked painful.

    Jalen with a great all-around game tonight. He’s struggled a lot this season, but I hope tonight fires him up for the rest of the season. He was aggressive attacking despite getting mauled, hustled on rebounds and D, and was able to make solid passes. We’ll see how it looks when he isn’t 6/12 from 3, but tonight is hopefully the good start of sustainable improved play to close out.

    Solid games from the rest of the team, great team game. Sengun was getting mauled with no calls but he looked good otherwise. We need Jabari’s spacing but I feel like he needs more opportunity within the arc.

    Cam was rough, but rookies will rookie.

    I think that was the best game of Jalen’s career. Yes, he’s scored more numerous times but his defense was the difference maker tonight. He stayed in front of his man and finally used his quickness to get into the passing lanes

    You can create all the theories you want about our disappointing performance, we do have some problems but the truth is that in today’s league, without hitting 3s it’s very difficult to win games, and that’s exactly what we’ve often failed at.

    Besides, things get easier when our #2 pick has a good game.

    Combine these two and we’d have far more wins than our current record.

    Alright I might be overreacting here but… Best game of Jalen’s career? Made good reads, excellent shot selection with a good % on top of that, grabbed the boards and also locked up defensively on some of the Sun’s best players. To top it off, we got the W.

    Great great game from everyone. This team has a great potential ensemble cast in Al-P + Jalen and Amen that will make for a really serious threat this coming season.

    Just few flaws overall – I was upset at some stuff that FVV did and that stuck out the most to me, but looking at the stats now holy shit he played over 41 minutes today, and it’s also probably us over-indexing on mistakes and exaggerating them especially if they happen when the score is close. He had a good night overall. I think he gets tired and starts chucking threes at a certain point which he probably should hold back on.

    Might be the best game I saw from Jalen. Last game wasn’t the flex we thought it was, as he was again inefficient and basically just chucked but we weren’t playing good basketball in the last game. He really brought it today. We need him like this all the time.

    This is a prime example of how Al-P can influence the game without obsessing about scoring – he needs to focus on playmaking, making the right passes, creating looks, because there’s no one remotely as good as him on the floor and that’s what he brings. Our shooters will either shoot better eventually or be replaced with ones who can – laying the foundations of a proper, sustainable offense pays a lot more in the longer term than winning individual games.

    I love what I’m seeing from Jabari – there was a bit of a slump during a period there, but the average jump I’m seeing from him is amazing. He’s getting there and will be great next season.

    Amen is so amazing and such a revelation. Had a bit of slump the last few games which made me worried, but he came back today. Whenever he’s on the court we are so much better. All the energy he adds on defense, and the basketball IQ he brings, he just makes the team a lot more fun to watch. We are so lucky to witness Amen grow in his career and years later we will say we were fans when he was just a rookie. So so good.

    Bad night from Cam – I still think we need to give him more minutes because he’s the one we need to collect the most data on. Still a bit of an enigma, just really puzzling.

    Hope this turns a switch somewhere for our guys. Much needed win on the road and just a very calm, composed game that looked way mature than we saw sometimes in the second half this season. Kudos all around.

    Damn I just realized Jalen Green played about as well, maybe even better than Kevin fucking Durant. Idk why but that’s almost bringing a tear to my eye.
