Yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another video and today I want to talk for a bit about the insane playoff race we have going on right now over in the Eastern Conference I made a video like this a couple of weeks ago talking about the Western

Conference and how ridiculously close the standings were how things could change on the drop of a hat and how chaotic it was going to be the rest of the season leading into probably an unbelievable playoff bracket and after that video a lot of you said hey make one talking about how the Eastern

Conference is looking at the moment and in the couple of weeks since I made that video the East has gotten more and more Chao to the point where it’s nearly as chaotic as the Western Conference at the moment it’s absolutely ridiculous how many things are changing on a night

Toight basis there are these big injuries that are currently affecting the standings that could lead to some crazy results when we actually get to the playoffs there’s a bunch of potential for upsets it’s a wild time to be over there in the Eastern Conference so let’s go ahead and break down this

Race from top to bottom unlike the west where you’ve got four teams all fighting for the one spot in the Eastern Conference the one spot is locked up the Boston Celtics are the best team in the East they’re going to finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference

Nobody’s going to come anywhere close to catching them even if they had like a major injury I still don’t think anybody comes anywhere close to the level of wins that they’re going to get to at the end of the season out there in the Eastern Conference right now they’re 47-

12 on Pace for 65 wins they’ve got one of the best net ratings in NBA history not just the best net rating right now the best offense in the entire NBA the third best defense in the league they are a juggernaut the definition of a seemingly Unstoppable Force I tweeted

This out earlier it’s hard for me to Envision any team in this Eastern Conference any team the MB as a whole really beating this current Boston Celtics team went healthy four games out of a seven game series they were that good right now they’ve got a full 8 game

Lead on the second seas in Eastern Conference and I don’t think they’re even going to lose eight games the rest of the season they’re on Pace to only lose five the rest of the way they’ve been incredible behind the great play of Jason T who was an MVP candidate Chris

Hops porzingis and Drew holiday have been amazing additions christops in particular is hooping out there in Boston he had the best year of his career last year in Washington and now he’s producing at that same level high level efficiency giving them Rim protection great post play something

That they really haven’t had too much in the past oh Horford’s still good Derek white has been amazing one of the most impactful role players in the league Jaylen Brown is great Joe mou is doing a good job of coaching them they’ve got more depth now this Celtics team is

Ridiculous when we talk about the best team in the league the Boston Celtics are easily the first team that comes to mind for me personally maybe a different team for you but again if I had to pick a team to win the championship right now it is the Boston Celtics they are easily

Going to run away with the one spot but beyond that pretty much everything else is currently in question behind them in the standings we have the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks who are currently tied eight games back of the Celtics for that two and that three

Spot they’re kind of in this secondary tier where I think those two teams are probably going to end up as the two and the three seeds they’re not that far ahead of the competition so if one or both of them fell I wouldn’t be super surprised especially if some teams below

Them got healthier but they probably are going to finish in these two and three spots and it’s because they’ve had ridiculous Superstar level performances from a couple of guys all season for the Cavaliers it’s been Donovan Mitchell this team was r ravaged by injuries in early December going into January and it

Didn’t matter they wanted a crazy winning streak after those injuries because Donovan Mitchell started playing the best basketball of his entire career he’s gotten a lot better as a Defender the offense is ridiculous highly efficient takes over in those Big Time moments and now that Mo’s back and he’s

Finding his footing darck Garland’s back Jared Allen all season has played at an All-Star all defensive level he’s been fantastic so far the Cavaliers are looking really good since the calendar turned over to 2024 since January 1st the Cavaliers are with the Celtics for the best record in the NBA with 21 wins

And six losses it’s looking scary over there in Cleveland this is a team that I projected to take a jump this season I like their off season I like the developmental curve that they were on with some of their young talent and they’re showcasing a lot of the reasons

Why I was so high on them right now the main thing for them is still defense they are the second best defense in the NBA offense is still a little bit shaky at times but I think as they get guys healthier and back into Rhythm that’ll

Come up and even with that bit of a shaky offense they still have the fourth best net rating in the league then there’s the Bucks who for the most part in the season have been carried by Giannis aneta kumbo who is not getting enough love for the ridiculous year that

One of the most dominant overall scoring seasons ever he has looked and I’ve said this in a couple of videos Shack like this season where he is just saying okay I know nobody can stop me going to the paint so I’m just going to go there every time and dunk on pretty much

Everybody he’s grabbing boards by the dozens dishing out dimes still a nightmare on the defensive end one of the most Unstoppable players ever in transition there’s not a lot of holes in giannis’s game this may be the most dominant version we’ve ever seen of The Greek Freak he’s even knocking down

Threes as of late in February I think shot right around 40% from Deep not on that many attempts but even still for Giannis that’s terrifying in his last five games he’s seven of nine from the outside Giannis is more complete really than he’s ever been so despite them

Having a really bad defense all season issues with depth and the fact that Damen Lillard hasn’t often looked like the game that we’re used to they’re still finding ways to get wins it’s been very up and down for them since Doc Rivers came into town they’ve been

Suffering some more losses but it feels like they’re finding a little bit of a rhythm at the moment the defense has gotten a lot better under Doc Rivers so that’s steadily climbing up the rankings which is very promising the offense is still a top five unit they are scary if

They can really put this thing together especially just having the top end talent and Yannis and Damen ller who have both done some amazing things in the playoffs plus of Chris Middleton and Brook Lopez get in a rhythm this team is still very very scary out there in the

Eastern Conference even if they haven’t been as good as many people thought they would be in the regular season so those three teams have built a little bit of separation for them but everything else is a tossup at the moment between the four-seed New York Knicks and the

Eight-seed Indiana Pacers there is just one and a half game separating them that’s an unbelievably small gap between homecourt advantage and being the away team in your first playing game that’s absolutely ridiculous and it’s kind of a result of a bunch of injuries we’ve seen

So many teams playing at a high level as of late and kind of fighting the Rhythm at the right moment so let’s go through these teams at the four spot you have the Knicks who have been struggling really badly with injuries as of late specifically to Julius Randle ojan anobi

Mitell Robinson they even lost Brunson for a little bit of time recently before he came back guys have been in and out of the lineup all over the place it’s been rough for them in the month of February and it sucks because since they got ojan and noi before the injuries

They’re looking fantastic they went 14-2 in January we a top six offensive team and the best defensive rating in Hoops over that stretch with a 15.8 net rating they looked absolutely Unstoppable after grabbing OG in that first month of the new year and they just haven’t been able

To recapture that because of all these injuries we’re waiting to see when they can get healthy but if they do this could be the second best team in the Eastern Conference with guys on paper you take a look at the talent between Jaylen Brunson who’s an Allstar all NBA

Level player Julius Randle as well even though he has struggled in the playoffs in the past but now those two guys have more help than ever with ojan anobi who is the perfect fit at that three spot you also have the play of Mitchell Robinson who is fantastic looking like a

Potential all defensive guy before dealing with that early season injury they’ve also got boam bonovich now here in town as well as Alec Burks and we haven’t seen those guys play with most of the top end Talent on the Knicks on paper this team just looks ridiculous

And again they could be the second best team in the East but if they continue to slide a little bit with these injuries there’s a chance they could end up in the playing and imagine you’re one of those top seeds and you potentially have to play a healthy Knicks team in the

First round or even if you’re like a three seed that’s a really unlucky match up to draw because I think this Knicks team when healthy can beat almost anybody in the league and speaking of major injuries at the Five Spot just half a game back of the Knicks you’ve

Got the Philadelphia 76ers who have been missing their MVP in Joel embiid for a good portion of this season before he got hurt embiid was having one of the best seasons of all time and that’s not an exaggeration he was probably going to run away with MVP we’re having an

Amazing MVP race right now but if embiid stayed healthy and didn’t miss all these games he was assuredly going to win it was dominant defensively in the 99th percentile both defensively and off offensively putting up 36 points per game doing it an unbelievable efficiency nobody was touching Joel embiid’s level

Of play in this regular season when he was healthy and if he ends up coming back that’s terrifying for the rest of the league we don’t know when he’s specifically going to return He said today he’s aiming for I believe he said around late March so could be back this

Month at some point just give him a couple weeks to ramp up towards the playoffs and the Sixers are one of the scariest foes out of anybody if he’s playing the way that he was in the regular season heading into the playoffs that’s a team that I don’t think anybody

Wants to face especially because Max is now an allar level player they’ve got a better coach now and Nick nurse’s Supporting Cast is pretty solid I think the Sixers team could be able to pull off a big time upset in the first round depending on what the matchup is if

Embid is fully healthy right behind them you have the surprise of this whole race in the Orlando Magic who not a lot of people would have told you we’re going to be the six seed at the moment and even have a chance at the four spot if

They really win some more games but here they are and it’s mainly because they’ve got a great duo with an Aller pal benero and a fringe guy fron vogner to go along with a lock down defense that ISR currently top five in the league lot of

That is led by Jaylen Suggs who has made himself an all defensive case this season they’ve just got a lot of really solid players and they’re making things happen the offense is a big problem they’re not good at all offensively the 22nd ranked team in the league and the

Inexperience might be rough but with this high level defense they could probably give some top team a really tough series a way more physical grinded out type of series than you would want as one of the top four seeds in the Eastern Conference so the magic are

Trying to play spoiler they’re trying to be the team that nobody expected to be here but make it there any ways and right now they’re kind of doing exactly that specifically to the Miami Heat who are currently a half game back of the magic and sitting at the seven seed the

First team in the playe at the moment Miami went through a little bit of a rough patch right around the time of the Rosier trade but have recently figured out and are currently one of the hottest teams in the league looking more and more like the terrifying Heat team that

We saw last year go from eight seed to eventually Eastern Conference champions they are always going to be a threat whether they stay here at the seventh spot all season and then of being a playing Team whether they move up to the fourth spot like they’re able to it’s

Not really going to matter they the heat are going to always be a threat to be anybody on any given night because they have Jimmy Butler they’ve got bam Deo they’ve got Tyler hero they’ve got Eric spoler this wealth of experience and they just seem to always do it they

Always go in as The Underdogs and just find ways to get things done like they did last year as an eight seed making it to the NBA finals they’re currently set up to play the Pacers in the plane which I think would be a really fun matchup a high-powered offense in Indiana versus

The physical experienced defense of the Miami Heat who love to play these grinded out type of games if they won that they play the Cavs in the first round who have a lot of experience and playing up against that Heat team that is a terrifying match up for them and

Even if they lost there would be a great storyline where say they make it in as the eth seed and they end up playing the Boston Celtics who as I mentioned this is one of the best teams in Celtics history one of the best teams in NBA

History according to net rating and the Heat have kind of had their number for a majority of the series that they’ve played outside of the one where they lost last year they almost blew a three lead but they ended up holding on to it a lot of fun story lines and narratives

Going into that series and I feel like there would be a lot of pressure on Boston to win so maybe Miami me finds a way to make it really interesting the heat are the wild card in the Eastern Conference and they make this thing so much fun finally like I alluded to at

The eth spot you do of the Indiana Pacers who have one of the most lethal offenses in both the NBA right now and NBA history as a whole they’re of course led by tyes halber who is a star at the point guard position one of the League’s best Playmakers a highly efficient

Scorer he does pretty much everything on that offensive end he’s a oneman offensive engine has been struggling a little bit as of late he deal some injuries that it feels like he’s still kind of finding his comfort zone back coming off of you’ve also got the SE yakum adjustment that he’s working on

They’re trying to figure out how to play together although I will say SE yakum since coming over to Indiana has been amazing putting up pretty similar numbers to what he was in Toronto this season just way more efficient now with the system and the increased spacing

It’s been great to watch and I think as this Duo builds chemistry they’re going to be pretty scary going into a plan or playoff setting you’ve also got like Miles Turner out there who’s a nightmare as a shot blocker gives them Great Floor spacing to having maybe the best season

Of his career over there they don’t have a lot of experience but they’ve got a lot of guys that can give you you problems on that offensive end and they’re going to try and force any team they play into a shootout if you don’t have the Personnel to match their

Firepower it’s going to be a really long night or even series for a potential top team Beyond those top eight teams you do have the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks at the nine to 10 spot rounding out the plan and theoretically one of those teams could make the playoffs

Through that playing tournament but I think those top eight teams are pretty clearly the best squads in the Eastern Conference they way ahead of the competition and I think those will be the eight teams that end up representing the east in the NBA Playoffs although we

Have no idea what order it’s going to be in because these standings change pretty much daily the Knicks at the four spot are just half a game up on Philly who’s just half a game up on Orlando who’s just half a game up on the heat as well

As the Pacers again there’s just one and a half game separating the four-seed Knicks Who currently have homecourt advantage and the eight seeded Indiana Pacers everything’s going to come down to the final few days of the season it’s going to be critical to avoid that play avoid potentially having to play like a

Boston in the first round and giving yourselves a chance to go deeper and deeper into the playoffs and I think matchups are super critical in this Eastern conference there are so many teams that counter each other’s strengths play into each other’s weaknesses really well and grabbing that final homecart Advantage spot that is

Seemingly up for grabs beyond the Celtics Cavaliers and Bucks is going to be very critical not to mention the thought of a potentially healthy Knicks team or the Sixers with Joel embi or just the Miami Heat in general coming out of that playe has to be terrifying

For a potential one or a two seed out there even though I do think the Celtics are really good they probably don’t want to see the Knicks with all these guys healthy in the first round because again I think that could be the second best

Team in the East and there’s a chance if the Knicks fall in the standings that could be a firstr match if that’s how crazy the Eastern Conference is we have no idea where teams are going to end up right now like the four five match up between the Knicks and Sixers would be

Amazing if they’re both healthy you have the Milwaukee Bucks Who currently would face off against the Orlando Magic and that series you’ve got this highle defense against a team that plays no defense that’s a crazy series to think about the Indiana Pacers in their high-powered offense going up against

The Celtics would be a crazy shootout the Heat going up against the Cavaliers can they overcome them with their overall experi experience just every team is interesting in some way going into this playoff race I do want to reiterate like I said towards the beginning this video the Celtics are

Absolutely my favorite to come out of the Eastern Conference but who knows maybe a team catches momentum I didn’t see the heat coming last year at all I thought they were going to lose in the first round I thought they might lose in the second round I picked them to lose

In the Eastern Conference Finals I bet against them a number of times maybe they prove me wrong maybe the Knicks do get healthy and that lock down defense combined with their great offensive potential stifles the Celtics they are kind of injury prone maybe that comes

Back to bite them they don’t have a lot of depth there could be a way that the Celtics end up fallowing even if I do like them a lot as my favorites and that’s part of what’s super fun about the eastern conferences there are a lot

Of question marks all over the place you know what teams are going to be healthy who’s going to play who because again we don’t know it all shuffles every day it’s just been a really fun race to follow so far I can’t wait to see how it

The Cleveland Cavaliers have continued to look stellar behind Donovan Mitchell, the Milwaukee Bucks are starting to put it together under Doc Rivers with Giannis Antetokounmpo more dominant than ever and Damian Lillard finding his footing, the New York Knicks, when healthy, looked incredibly dangerous, the Philadelphia 76ers could be a force if Joel Embiid returns from injury and looks like himself by the time the Playoffs roll around, the Orlando Magic are playing with house money, the Miami Heat are always a threat, and the Indiana Pacers have an All Star duo with Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam looking to prove themselves. It’s a stacked conference that is seemingly going to lead to some unbelievable playoff series, and the matchups aren’t likely to be determined until the final few days of the season.
