[Krell] Per @Katie_George05 on the broadcast, Joel Embiid has “started on-court workouts and began lifting 100% of the weight he lifted prior to the injury”. The procedure was 2/6/24, so re-evaluation and update from team expected this upcoming week.

We’re in the best case scenario timeline if his next re-evaluation goes well. I believe Ramona / Woj said he could be back as early as end of March. We’re back home after our West Coast trip on the 28th against Clippers, so that could be a date to look out for

Chosing to believe that this extended absence is Joel’s “hyperbolic time chamber” and he comes back looking even better than before

i said this before he started the stretch that got him injured in the first place – id much rather miss a few more games with embiid than risk losing a hall of famer to a career ending re-injury.

I still have a tear. I can squat whatever I want. Lateral movement on the other hand? Nope.

Jo’s condition is not surprising. It is, however, good to see he will not be atrophying while he waits to return.
