Reminiscing how stacked that 2010 team was. Had 5 guys (including Bynum) averaging double figures, and were elite defensively

Tbh if Vando keeps playing the way he was before injury we prolly got six guys averaging double figures

What a bad coach can do to a team huh

That was my team man. My greatest sports memories were from that year. Going back to back and getting revenge on Boston was so sweet.

Boston was like undefeated at the time with game 7. It was the ultimate boogeyman especially for the Lakers. And we beat them at their own game. Tough and physical basketball. Words could not express how euphoric I was after that game. My Dad and I were screaming at the top of our lungs especially after Artest nailed the dagger.

As a Knicks fan who sucked in this era, I really liked watching the Lakers and Kobe and playing with them in 2K.

Not trying knock Kobe but a lot of his fans say “he won titles without a Top 75 team mate.” I mean like yeah but like this team was stacked compared to the league. Prime Mamba, Pau was All-NBA, Bynum showed promise, Metta World Peace is a former all star and played his role really well. Lamar was 6th man of the year and a prototype for modern stretch 4, and Fisher was a solid vet with rings. Like this team was so elite winning 60+ games. Not trying knock Kobe or his efforts but he had a stacked squad in this pre-Superteam era. Only team that would’ve conceivably beat him would’ve been the Celtics who did win 08 but not 10.

My point is 08/09/10 Lakers as a squad need more love. People acting like it was some Herculean task for Kobe to win rings with them need to show more respect to the team

And yet 2k doesn’t even have this team playable

My favorite Laker team. Well balanced and executed so well in the clutch. Team was real unified and it was clear from the start of that offseason this team had one mission and that was to get that Celtic ass

  6. Beat teams with finesse/speed (Pau, Odom) or with length (Bynum, Pau).

Oh and I almost forgot, we also got the Blackmamba.

I still remember Ron saying “blame it on me if we don’t we the championship” during his introductory press conference.
