Second best?! Who was the best rookie?!?

    >No one will ever top the 38 points and 27 rebounds that Wilt Chamberlain averaged as a rookie.

    Oh.

  2. I mean, I love Wemby, but even aside from Wilt, rookie Magic (at 20 years old so not even an age advantage for Wemby) went 18/8/7 in the regular season on a 60-win team, then 18/10/9 in the playoffs. Of course to top it off, in the NBA Finals he went 21/11/9 with ******42/15/7**** in Game 6 on the road (Kareem out injured) to clinch the title.

Even if Wemby had better teammates I don’t know if he’s topping that lmao

In Kareem’s rookie year, he put up 28, 14 and 4 with a 56-26 record

Duncan was also all nba first team, all defence second team and 5th in MVP voting as a rookie

Everyone brings up good points but social media ruins most rookie’s chances of ever reaching a player from pre social media accolades. It’s kinda crazy how everyone’s opion is influenced

This is very cherry picked lol. The 3 assist margin is discrediting Robinson and shaq who both averaged over 20 and 10 but with roughly 2 assists. I’d personally say Duncan has the second best rookie campaign for making all nba first team in a big dominated league.

Pop knows exactly how many wins he wanted this year. He even gave us a taste of the future at the start of the season, with a few quick wins.

I honestly think the intention was to lose from the beginning, and I have absolutely no problem with it.
