Of all the stars in the league I think Tatum is probably the one I have the least faith in making a game winning buzzer beater
BigRig432
Offensive foul if anything, don’t know how they called a foul on Garland in the first place. Right call was made in the end though
BeefExtender
I love Tatum having to push off of a tiny little point guard guarding him to get a shot off, that ends up being an offensive foul anyway.
Durantula92
For all the griping Celtics fans are doing about the refs, the push-off before the shot attempt should have been called, but that’s one they’ll never call on a last second shot. So players have no reason not to do it.
Slow-Raccoon-9832
The amount of Celtics fans complaining about a put back attempt blows my mind
There’s no chance in hell of a put back. The clock stopped at .7 before it even hit the rim.
0% chance of a put back the clock would have expired
baldbaseballdad
Came for the coping Celtics fans 🤣
shoysauce
More pushing than dribbling
TheSmokedSalmon420
I was about to be one salty boy when they blew the whistle. Good lord.
JPCBeaverBoy
Celtics didn’t deserve to win that game I could care less about the final play
notatowel420
Should have been an offensive foul for that push off
this_place_stinks
Humor me for a moment. If replay truly is supposed to look at the whole play, how is that not a push off on Tatum?
If a defender made half that amount of contact with an offensive player they’d call it 100% of the time
I get they never call it, but what’s the justification for ignoring when it’s viewed on replay?
Titronnica
Good, this kick out shit is old.

I just love how this sub concluded that JT doesn’t push off anymore than any other shooter offensively in a thread a few days ago and that final shot shows him pushing off in slow mo 100x while the refs looked at it 😂
Brokromah
Of course the 3 second slow mo clip starts with the patented Tatum stiff arm.
Kick_Natherina
Yet they had the same play happen against KJ Martin in the sixers game tonight and ruled it a flagrant.
OG-Firetruck
This shit is never even debated as a foul in any other league. The calls on jumpers have gotten out of control. Celtics melted and deserved to lose it.
LoWE11053211
it is not a foul
at most a minor sexual harassment.
HibachiTyme
Good thing he wasted the entire clock
chickendinner799373
Celtics should have never been in this situation.
Durandau
Why couldn’t he just drive man lmao he’s so much taller and bigger than Garland
OrlandoAndy
The only thing I see here is the ref putting his finger in the hole in his arm.
IsThisMe8
Does he really need to push off on someone that much shorter than him?

I’m shocked they overturned that. What a game!
TATUM WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE
Good call by the refs
