The Mavericks traded 2 1st Rd. Picks for PJ Washington (2027 1st, Top 2 Protected!!) & Daniel Gafford (2024 1st). They have lost 5 out of their last 6 games. Sounds a lot like Lakers fans clamoring to trade the 2029 1st for Mid players just for the sake of “doing something”.

If we’re trading our 2029 first this offseason it should be for an impact player who we know can play both sides of the ball. I don’t think we can get a bonitide star with all three of our tradable picks but I do think splitting them up for smaller deals for a starting level center and 3 and D sg is the best option.

Well they also won five games in a row following the deadline lol I think the PJ Washington deal was a bad one, but apparently they hated Williams lmao. The Gafford deal was a good one for them.

  3. I wish fans knew that doing something for the sake of doing something isn’t always a solution. This applies to things outside of sports too.

These picks don’t expire any time soon so saving them as assets in a later developing trade may result in better returns.

Remember when this sub wanted to trade D’lo, Rui, and a first for Murray?

I will say Daniel Gafford is a pretty good player, could’ve been a good backup big for us especially if we have to face the Nuggets

Hell they traded Dinwiddie Smith and a first for Kyrie.

So shit they fleeced with that might as well throw something at the wall.

this such a bad take lmao

Gafford is being Darvin Hamed by Jason kid.

only yesterday 16 points, 10 rebounds 2 assists 3 blocks and 1 steal in ONLY 21 mins. Rui Hachimura treatment right here.

That’s not even a comparable situation, Mavericks didn’t lose any important player, on the Lakers situation, the LA team would always lose at least Dlo and maybe Reaves, so, again, idiot take to get easy upvotes. The situation is not comparable and the players that went to Dallas are playing well, at least Gafford is playing very well and PJ decent at least.

    Horrible comparison.

Mavs hated Grant. They were willing to lose the trade to get rid of him because he was toxic in the locker room.

Luka is a part time player

Kyrie is a part time player

    Mavs aren’t serious

Dallas are trying everything to build around Luka. They traded for Porzingis, signed Wood let Brunson walk.

Yeah safe to say it’s not looking good for his future their.
