  1. The research they did was specifically into injury reduction, not tiredness. That's why you're seeing more ridiculous blowouts. Yes, the Celtics have blown out a few teams, but they also got totally blown out by the bucks earlier this season. When else have we seen that happen to the best team in the league? When else have we seen so many 30-50 pt beatdowns, period?
And we actually don't know yet what the effect of the players playing through this fatigue will be. You can draw a straight line from the ppp and the 65 game reqs to embiid's injury. What about Haliburton? He should obviously have been out. How will this impact his career long term? What about Brunson? And then the guys who haven't been injured but who have obviously been exhausted – how has all of this play weakened their bodies? There's a guy, I forget his name, but he did a study and was able to predict which soccer players would tear their hamstrings based on tests and scans he did of their legs. What would he see if he looked at these players' legs, especially as compared to last year? The research they did was short-sighted.
I'm not the only one saying this – right after that Celtics bucks game, people like Henry abbott (I think) and others were slamming the league for exactly this. I hope we're all excited for the playoffs when everyone is too exhausted to actually play championship basketball

  2. Another great random name to add to your list of β€œwho he play for?”…….. Alex Fudge. Just got signed to a 10 day for the lakers I’m pretty sure πŸ˜‚

  3. NHL season is 82 games, and a lot more physical of a sport, and look at baseball.. So, I'm not sure which sports Tas is talking about?

  4. Completely disagree that the suns don't pass, though in the clutch I do get what your saying. Their offense is basically all motion with grayson allen sprinting around the 3 point line finding open spaces. Idk this was an odd game but a great win for the suns overall, hope they prove the doubters wrong

  5. The NBA is nearly unwatchable live. 48 minutes of basketball for 100 minutes of ads for each game. Less timeouts. There’s a break between each quarter. Time spent on reviews is negligible compared to that.

  6. can you put up your Athletic link? I am finally breaking down and paying the dollar or whatever because there is just too much content on there i want to read

  7. NBA refs are not worse now than in the past.

In the past, a bad call would be seen by a few people watching live on cable, or maybe lower level live spectators. Maybe 1 replay, probably not. Then it was forgotten about. Now every play is analyzed to death on numerous social media. Hours and days of debate over microscopic freeze frames.

The officiating is BETTER now, they are just under a much more intense scrutiny

*and people just straight up complain more now about everything

  8. Still the best rule change i have heard is make defensive 5 seconds instead of 3 – it would affect scoring but still show the quality of the players today

  9. Nico harrison did a good job for trade deadline moves. But been calling it since time, j kidd is not the right coach to get it done. Their defense is absolute dog shit

  10. Hey guys Tas mentioned something incorrect last episode* and then Skeets repeated it this one but just so you know, Tyrese Haliburton actually has a massive financial incentive to make All-NBA. If he makes All-NBA this year he makes about $40 million more over the lifetime of his contract, which is why he rushed back, aggravated his injury, and played a bunch of games where he played only 20 minutes when he was clearly not right.

  11. Forced to look up whether anyone has even done a 5 by 6 – yes, but just Hakeem and Kirilenko, every other 5×5 has had at least once category with just 5 – No one has ever done a 5 x 7.

  12. Nice to hear Andrew funk get a mention. Loved him on the Grand Rapids Gold this season. His shooting will be missed.

  13. The real secret was to cut the top of both corners the air flow would cause the bag to never flop. I invented this and try it !
