One is one that uh you knew would be tough and it was tough and you were right there at the end yeah right there and it it was it was really a sharp contrast you the the the number one defense number one offense going going they’re colliding against each other

Here tonight and the defense really showed up for the Timberwolves in that first quarter excuse me in that first half and in the third quarter the Pacers explode offensively they’re able to get back into this game and battle it and make it extremely competitive in the second half it might have been better

For the Pacers if Carl Anthony towns was healthy because then Anthony Edwards does not get as many shots does not have maybe that freedom to take over this game as he did tonight 18 for 354 for Ant-Man tonight 16 points in the fourth quarter 13 in the third quarter what an

Steals and uh this guy was phenomenal I mean it’s interesting he played a game like this against Indiana one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference against a guy like Tyrese halberton and if there was any question of who is really a better young guard in

This league it it it’s I mean no question about it and I like Tyrese halberton he’s a good player but Anthony Edwards is a significantly better defensive player a much better scorer than halberton and Edwards was just a phenomenal uh player here tonight in this game and the fight that he put up

Making key free throws those I mean a handful of key shots late in the ball game as well and boy he just put the team on his back and very impressive and 35 shot attempts too Anthony Edwards 44 points tonight that s ties a season high for Anthony Edwards he was certainly the

Hero and as Chris Finch has said before he loves the big moments he certainly did tonight for more on this huge ending in Indianapolis let’s go back out to gamebridge fieldhouse to Michael Grady and Jim Peterson thanks a lot well this was a while close game Tyrese halberton guys

Were making plays Aaron n Smith was phenomenal defensively so guys were making plays on both sides but Anthony Edward’s ability to shot make in the clutch was something to see and and you know we had a great seat for it too so it was great being here it was great

Seeing this performance it’s you know one of the great ant performances since I’ve been watching him play so uh um I’ve seen all of his games and this one is right there at the top to do what he did in that fourth quarter on the scoring side of the ball but that unreal

For threes and and just taking outside jump shots and they were attacking the paint Gober playing well goar with another solid performance 18 points 14 rebounds but the the paint points were really what kind of set the tone I thought for this effort and kind of

Embarrassing I I thought uh Indiana in a lot of ways early on the game kind of setting the tone like I said towns is not playing Edwards you know tweaks his ZK a little bit he leaves the to go into the locker room for just a second and

You kind of wonder what’s going to happen how’s Minnesota going to score here but they continued to kind of attack that that lane area get some shots close by with goar and others and uh that’s really where the tone was set that’s the biggest reason why Minnesota

Had a significant lead in that first half was because they didn’t settle for outside shots they were getting into the paint and looking to attack from there and that was really one of the keys to this game and when you reference those others while the bench players really

Stepped up when we did see Anthony Edward W EGS at the game at those times again no Carl Anthony towns the bench was called upon early and often throughout this game n Alexander Walker Nas Reed both in double digits and how about TJ Warren with seven points yeah

You know first game for on this team and and he you know Michael and Jim were talking about how he just seems like he fits you know it’s kind of hard he’s had very little practice time but he he scored seven points and he looked uh

Like he fits in with this group and Nas Reed doing his thing with 13 points nikil Alexander Walker getting in double figures with 10 and it was good to see again with you know a little bit of offense out for Minnesota that bench coming in and and and doing some good

Things for for Minnesota especially with Anthony Edwards a little bit of a quiet start to this game but it was the other guys it was the bench group and other players Jaden McDaniels 11 points in this ball game as well made a key three

Late in the game as well so it was good along with Mike connley so what a what a entertain in game Edwards was spectacular and the bench was a part big part of this win too hit his head off the rim he was flying on that final play

And we’re excited to hear what head coach Chris Finch has to say about it because this was quite the game for Anthony Edwards we’ll take a break and coming up we’ll hear from the bench box coach PCH on the other uh yeah I mean just everything was really decisive I

Thought he played really quick he went downhill in straight lines he got to his spots um you you know if they were between him and the and the in the basket he’d pull up or make the right play and then you know a lot of times he

Then just some huge shots you know on the fourth I mean just from the three to the end on to the Baseline reverse to the little Runner I mean he had it all going on but uh I thought everybody played phenomenal tonight I really did I thought uh even

We we weathered foul trouble we weathered some some bumps and bruises um you know we we played we played outstanding so really happy for the guys that just kind of take some adversity this morning and just kind of send yeah I don’t know message we here yeah I

Think I mean guys um you know I think we’ve been looking for a little bit of a spark plug something to kind of G us pull us together a little bit um you could tell how we started the game we we were really ready and focused and um um

You know just kind of like on point uh then they did a really good job of like upping the physicality in the game I think it bothered us for a little bit but then when we kind of started pushing back uh we were able to kind of level

That playing field so it’s been a while since clutch Time game is kind of I guess gone your guys gone way the first couple possessions was kind of and was kind of yeah obviously know did what else yeah I mean obvious you know um put the b ball in Kyle’s hands a few

Times you know kind of give an a break and things shook loose Mike had the big uh three um you know we also had the kick out three when they put two on Ant you know got off it made the right play um Jaden had the high bounce three um

Just you know enough shot making and the right plays at the right time you know um when they didn’t have two on and he went downhill when they did he got off of it so you know it seems like his last 15 to 20 points almost everybody in the

Building knew he was going to take the shot yeah and make I mean that kind of quality yeah I mean when you face that kind of pressure to be the guy for not just two or three possessions but four or five minutes yeah well we know that’s

That that strip of Halton at the end of the quarter kind of you know gave us just enough like ooms start the fourth with the right you know kind of uh energy Midway to I think the third quarter whatever you took Conley off the ball and had an bringing up in the in

The third was that just to get Mike off the ball it was to get him off the ball I mean they were extremely physical with him I thought they were riding him hard the whole way up the floor just you know I thought also um to try to free him up

Make some shots you know just get the ball out of his hands and uh Kyle as well you know and uh that’s the luxury we have so when moris went down how did you start to think about getting those minutes together and then you had both
