Things like that I just wanted to stay in uh you know I don’t really say that many times but uh you know I just told you I want to stay in the rest of the game what’s it like to have that you know that communication within the flow of the

Game um you know obviously trust you not L of coaches would put that on so many play have yeah I mean it’s not like I do it all the time it was this might have been like the second time I’ve done it all season uh so you know it’s a field thing we

Trust each other uh things like that what what did you guys do that allowed you to overcome Kevin Durant scoring that many points and being so efficient yeah I mean that was tough um he was getting to his spots getting easy looks getting transition uh obviously making

Some tough ones uh but you know we just kept responding on the other end and getting good shots and just tried to limit the other guys Jason what’s the last 48 hour has been like for you for me yeah I mean I know be the Denver loss and just kind of

The narrative I mean what’s what’s that been like for you and were you motivated in the second half to come back tonight by telling Jo you understand uh I do a pretty good job of moving on um I I’ve said it before that regardless

Of how great I play or I don’t you know I never get too down or or Too High um and whatever you know people are saying I I respect it right you know people have a job to report on you know things that we do things that we say how we

Play um so you know I never take those things personal uh yesterday I got to play 18 holdes of golf get some sun um enjoy time with with the with the guys outside and uh you know just kind of get away from it mentally and today we uh we

Bounce back in a in a positive way and uh got a big win on the road how did that feel to get that break to get that take a deep breath to enjoy you know we that’s not 32° or whatever it is in Boston it felt great like you said we

Not many chances to play golf uh or be outside really um in the winter time in Boston so uh coming out on the west coast and having a day off in Phoenix being on the in the resort on the golf course I was really looking forward to

That uh you we had a lot of fun yesterday why’ you shoot I want some money want some that’s important what do you think’s been the key you guys haven’t had a three game losing streak all year the key to kind of really never having these laws last and pushing back every single

Time uh just not letting it Snowball Effect right we we’re not perfect um we try to be we really do try um but we make mistakes we um and things like that and this is a tough League other teams are really good got great players um so it’s all about

How you respond you want to be a good special team you got to do a really good job with responding um especially wining on the road is tough being away from home for 10 12 days or whatever uh so this was a great way to come out here

And get a win against a team that’s you know been playing well lately Jason uh you grew up uh very close to Brad Beal how do you relish the match up against him when you uh play him uh you know something I always dreamed about as a kid um just two guys

That grew up in St Louis was grew up in the same neighborhood same High School uh so you know this is just a proud moment for like us and our families our moms that’s watching everybody back home in St Louis probably watch this game today uh so you know I think just two

Guys that made it out of the city that you know not a lot of people make it out of and playing at the highest level um you I used to he made it to the league first so you know I would always tell him that um you know I was going to be

There and you know he did everything in his power to help me you know develop and get to this point so uh you know I’m always thankful for him uh and you know our relationship last two questions everyone always always talks about like Drew’s physical defense that part of it

But the mental approach to you know be guarding Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant going for 45 plus and still staying with the next play what can you say about that mentality um I mean Drew was one of the best to to do especially on that end of

The floor uh and he been in this league a long time there just some one-of a kind players that that come through and uh somebody that’s 7 feet tall can put on the floor and catch and shoot and move uh sometime you got to tip your hat
