After a few grueling losses we’re starting to see the pitchforks come out again in search of scapegoats. One guy people have started to focus in on is our new rookie, Brandin Podziemski, who might be considered a top 5 rookie this year.
This is just to remind people that he is leading the Warriors in plus-minus this year at +214. The next guys on the list are Kuminga at +109, Steph at 90, Draymond at +86 and CP3 at +67. So he has almost twice the plus-minus of JK!
Let’s put away the pitchforks and appreciate how well he has done. Obviously, plus-minus is not a perfect stat and obviously criticism is allowed and can be healthy, but let’s just try and make it balanced?

Podz is still a rookie who makes smart plays. Ofc he has a lot to improve, including his shooting and finishing, but when shots are not falling he still consistently tries his best to contribute. I do not understand why people keep shitting on a rookie and keep saying Moody should get his minutes. When Kerr and Atkinson coaches this season Moody rarely gets minutes while Podz have been getting a bunch of it. There has to be a lot of reason behind this. Stop saying the coaches are stupid or what. If Moody can’t get consistent minutes for several years there must be some glaring flaws.
Of course nephews are up in arms.
They are the epitome of “what have you done for me recently” mindset.
This sub will turn on a player on a dime. You just have to laugh about it because it so ridiculous. Yea he has played bad a few games, but overall he has been great.
I gotta think a lot of that +- came before the league started forcing him to go right. Last night was hard to watch. Wiggs and Moody need Draymond to help them with their shot🤪. All those close losses in the early part of the season have us in a tough spot. I’m not giving up on them winning a chip from the 9/10 spot. Wouldn’t bet double digits dollars on it though.
