[Brady Hawk] Bam takes ownership for his uneven play as of late, and it happens throughout a season But funny when he added: “Years ago y’all would’ve been like he needs to keep shooting. Now it’s he’s in a slump.” Says it’s all about “keep shooting” and would’ve gone in his shell in past

  1. he’ll figure it out i think he’s earned enough grace from us for us to work with it and let him do his thing

I hate when I click the link and its just quotes, I want to the video or interview lol

  3. Bam’s slump is the least of my concerns right now, he’s Bam he’ll figure it out.

More concerned why his defense has fallen off

It’s one thing if his shot is slumping. But dudes body language slumping hard too. Weak defense last 3 games to boot

  6. dank_mood

Y’all hilarious for letting this performance slide

The defensive drop off is much more frustrating

How many of us before the season would have believed that there would be a multi-game stretch where Jovic is just as good of a paint defender as Bam? (Tonight Jovic was undeniably better)

Dudes fingerprints are slipping cause his handles and ball security are in slump too. There has to be a psychological issue going on. See a sports psychologist!

  9. Bams problems are his handle is overrated, which makes driving into the paint difficult, his free throw shooting is in a major slump, his touch around the rim is ass, his footwork needs to get better, his post game needs to get better, his rebounding needs to be more consistent

I’ll give him credit tho when he is directly under the basket he knows how to make contested shots.

Hearing Bam talk about going back in his shell is the last thing I wanna ever hear.

You know that shell cavernous as hell. We’ll never get him back. 😅

Bam should legit be traded away.

He’s solid but not great especially when we need a clutch rebound or layup. The numbers say he’s a great PF/C but the eyeball test clearly says otherwise. He’s a timid big guy on top if it all. I’d see if we can get 1-2 first picks for him. Bam has zero dog in him.

WTF is up with all these insecure big men in today’s game? Do any of them just nut up and fight instead of talk about their feelings? Goddamn. The league is filled with wimps. The bigger they are, the less conviction they have.

  12. yeah I’m not going to comment how bam is better than AD or sabonis anymore…

This dude just isn’t it, I don’t understand how you all don’t get that by now, he has his moments but he is not anywhere near a max level player

  14. VintageHeartbreak

And further, all bam does is jump around sometimes and gets blocks, I’ve watched him let a guy just lay it up right in front of him so many times, he is very lazy

  15. I’ll keep spamming the same shit: no idea what’s going on right now with Bam, but the issues are glaring right now. I said jt before the losing streak: right now Bam isn’t great on offense and he’s still making the worst shot you can take at a decent rate, when that average unavoidably goes down, he and the Heat will have a problem.

Bam needs to stop being something he isn’t on offense and play to his strengths. Don’t want to shoot 3s? Absolutely fine, Miami has shooters around him and given how small the team is, he can’t really be on the perimeter anyway. Wanna have that middy in your bag? Sure, keep it as a tool. But you cannot expect to use that as your main offensive tool and have consistently good or even average results.

It is the worst shot you can take.

Bam has the speed+ size combo that allows him to go for quick drives, yet you NEVER see him do it, why?

The only “good tool” Bam has is getting those lobs. He’s got Terry, DRob and Herro to serve him but there again: it’s a tool he cannot revert to alone.

Bam still doesn’t have his bread&butter on offense. And if he thinks the middy is it, then he’s gonna go hungry more often than not.

He absolutely has the athleticism, speed, power to make his way to the basket and/or draw fouls doing so.

At this point I am wondering if he has to much shoulder issues to implement a heavy contact offense style of play. And if that is the case… well, let’s not think about that.

And seeing his defense degrade the last few games… this is a very similar slump/bad stretch of games he had last year post ASB. Last year it started with an injury right before the ASB and persisted almost until the end of the RS.

I have no idea what to think of this team anymore.

It’s incredible to see Bam, Jimmy, Terry AND Duncan stink it up that bad… against a team that has a non existent defense…
