The first quarter of this game down by as many as 22 points along the way they were down double digits for essentially the entire second half um really the last three quarters of the game for the most part and also when it rains it pours on the injury front as the Hawks

Lost sadique Bay in the fourth quarter of this game which we’ll come back to later on in the podcast but with a lot of guys already out they can’t really afford that um big picture of the Hawks were quote unquote supposed to lose this game our friends at FanDuel made the

Hawks six and a half Point underdogs at home that was their largest point spread Underdog since they played in Boston about five weeks ago at this point also the first time that the Hawks have seen a team on the other side of the floor that was both good and the Falcons are

Good obviously after this win they’re 39 25 this year and also reasonably healthy because the HW have played some pretty good teams recently the Knicks the Cavs Etc but those team were all banged up the Pelicans were basically at full strength or close to it in this one only

Dyson Daniels was out of the rotation guys and they looked the part in this game did the Pelicans whereas the Hawks were missing of course Trey young Jaylen Johnson an kongu kobby buffkin and then basically a quarter of sque bay at the end of the game as well Deonte Murray

Was on the injury report coming in with a calf contusion ended up playing and playing his normal workload so not hopefully a concern there but other than that like they were obviously the not the healthier team in this game and it was a tough spot yes the Hawks were at

Home but certainly they were playing a team that had a lot more available talent in this game and that was kind of evident if you watch this one throughout uh we’ll go big picture first talk about the offense it was never particularly impressive in any meaningful way until

The fourth quarter on offense when it wasn’t quite garbage time but it wasn’t like terribly competitive either the Hawks were never within 12 points or less in that fourth quarter I do want to say just to give credit where credit is Du the Pelicans are very good

Defensively so the Hawks were going to have trouble scoring on the Pelicans even at full strength we’re close to it the Falcons are a top six team in the league this year in defensive rating before tonight and that number will improve based on tonight their perimeter defens in particular is Elite while they

Have some trouble up front Zion’s not a great defender necessarily neither is valan chunis their perimeter guys are fantastic herb Jones is one of the best guys in the league he had he’s a total Menace on the perimeter Jose Alvarado Off the Bench is fantastic Trey Murphy is long and good defensively Naji

Marshall even an unsung guy very good Defender so they threw a lot of things at the Hawks in this game and they were effective and also of course the Hawks are just not that difficult to guard right now with their available Talent not only Trey being out but you know

Jayen Ona those guys really help the offense and without them the Hawks are not a very good offensive team Personnel wise so they end up this game with about a 108 109 is offensive rating which actually isn’t that bad but also it was way way better in the fourth quarter

Than it was the rest of the game and I’m I’ll raise my hand I’m not entirely sure what to make of that I think if you go like quarter by quarter for the for instance an 80 offensive rating in the first quarter that’s obviously terrible a 95 in the second quarter that’s awful

In itself uh combined 88 or so in the first half that’s terrible and and then exactly 100 offensive rating in the third quarter so through the first three quarters the Hawks had an offensive rating somewhere in the low 90s just for comparison sake the worst team in the

League this year is in like the high hundreds like 108 109 and the Hawks were about 90 92 so that’s that speaks for itself it’s really bad but then the fourth quarter they got red hot actually they made they made threes in the fourth quarter they scored 38 points that

Definitely helped to boost their overall efficiency for the game I don’t again I don’t not really sure what to make of that it was better offensively for sure if you watch the fourth but some of that was just the way the game Flow was going like you know the pelons kept scoring

They were kind of trading baskets Al only ended up winning that quarter by two points despite all those M shots but look big picture they were not very good on offense in this game they ended up shooting 17 to 46 from three which is actually more than good enough that’s

37% on good volume but the first three quarters they were 10 of 35 so they were they were seven of 11 or yeah seven of 11 in the fourth quarter that was part of why they were able to get back into it but in the whole game they only

Created six Corner threes that’s not enough they took a lot of shots from three-point range they probably should have made more in the first half than they did in a big picture sense but offensively like the process was not my favorite in this game big picture like Murray after getting wherever he wanted

To go basically the entire game on Friday against Memphis had a lot of trouble in the first half in particular with herb Jones and Company and uh with him kind of being bottled up for most of this game um had a good had a good game

For sure but other than that like Hunter had a rough night B even before he got hurt was not having his best done offensively be CR only took three shots had a couple nice plays but they were again just it’s just it’s really just a talent issue in a lot of different ways

For this Hawks offense um only five guys took more than six shots in this game and only one of them capella made more than half of his shots so essentially you know bogie was efficient because he took a lot of threes and made a bunch of them and Clint was pretty efficient with

18 points on 13 shots but everybody else essentially was below their normal efficiency and that kind of led to the overall picture for Atlanta it took care of the ball pretty well only 11 giveaways against a very good turnover creation team in New Orleans but they

Led directly to 21 points so when the Hawks did turn it over it was uh very very painful um also they got they got to the line 13 times that’s a very very low number that kind of hurts your efficiency as well and they were below their normal average on the offensive

Class not terrible but not a ton of impact other than capella with six and Bruno with three offensive rebound they didn’t have a ton in this game so again like I I don’t think they were as probably as good as they were fourth quarter at any point um this is a bad

Offensive performance again I I I I made sure to credit the Pelicans this is a very difficult matchup for any team but with where the Hawks are Personnel wise like they were fighting an uphill battle against this Pelicans roster defensively the Hawks are pretty good in the first

Two two and a half Quarters on defense I thought and then after that it kind of uh the Rope was kind of let go I would say um they had a 108 defensive RA in the first half that’s very good um very good against a good offensive team in

New Orleans but after that a 134 defensive rating in the second half that’s bad against anybody um the Pelin shot the ball really well the whole game even in the first half when the Hawks were doing a good job against them it was mostly because they were turn they

Were forcing turnovers New Orleans turned the allall over a bunch especially in the first quarter quarter and a half but the whole game they shot 57% from the field and then they took about half their shots at The Rim that’s a bad signing for the defense you you do

Not want to allow your opponent to take half their shots at The Rim that’s not going to be good uh long sort of longterm big picture Etc New Orleans did shoot well from three like probably too well so if the Hawks were a little bit unlucky there I certainly would flag

That as a possibility they weren’t um nor especially Trey Murphy in the first half was red hot but still defensively like again the big gap was that the Pelicans turned the ball over a lot in the first half and not so much in the second half but they had no answer for

Zion in this game that’s not surprising I think the best defender the Hawks have against Zion is a kongu who was unavailable in this game you could argue that maybe jaylen’s number two he was also unavailable in this game Trey Murphy had the big first half they did a

Very good job on the defensive glass I will say that but and they proba did better than usual in transition in this game but they got torched in the half court actually which is not usually the Hawk’s biggest problem but it was in this game they played a lot of Zone

Which I didn’t mind you know Quin was asked about that postgame he kind of noted that you know it’s like they tried it and then the pelc kind of figured it out and they took it away which I think is correct in a lot of different ways so

Um that is kind of that kind of is what it is at this point in time but um you know defensively they did a admirable job for most of this game and the Hawks have been better defensively in recent Days part of that personel they’ve also just been playing good defense but that

Kind of LED them astray in the in the second half and even when the offense kind of came alive to some degree at the end uh it was not enough to bridge the gap what became you know I’m not sure this game was like more lopsided than

This but it certainly wasn’t closer than this the Hawks were uh down 12 or more the whole fourth quarter and uh they were on the wrong side of this one for the most part so you know the Hawks not going to win every game right now and that’s kind of the Personnel that’s

Available to them but kudos to the Hawks on winning three three games in a row I think it got spun a little bit um like what a lot of us were saying including me that they you know they they’ve been a little bit fortunate with the opponents in recent days but you still

Have to win the games like it’s hard to win basketball games against anybody Friday was maybe an outlier because Memphis was basically playing a g- league team but um still you have to win the games that are in front of you it’s never easy to do that and I should say

That more plainly sometimes but um in this game it was just kind of the tooo too much of a Title Wave I would say New Orleans being at full strength made life difficult they were projected to lose they lost and uh nothing really to be sh ashamed about honestly the Hawks didn’t

Play terribly in this one they just didn’t have enough juice on offense to bridge the gap all right we’ll have more on this game coming up when it comes to the game Flow more on Sid Bay and the injury there as well as my player valuations at the end of the podcast but

Pretty well on Friday you could kind of see all of the positives and negatives in this game V is a limited player in some respects but he is someone that the Hawks can rely on to at least Drive the ball break the paint and move the ball

As a passer which is why that kind of that that theory was going to be in place right now and just realistically they’re short-handed obviously that’s kind of the reason for that but defensively they had sadique Bay on Zion for the most part in this game v c on

Brandon Ingram they used Hunter on Ingram a lot when he came in the game unsurprisingly it was pretty tight early on both teams kind of failed to get going on offense for different reasons the Falcon shot the ball well turn the ball over a lot the Hawks made their

First two threes in this game but then also started only six of 23 from the field Deonte was 0 of six in the first quarter with herb Jones draped all over him and I’ll say this now I I saw this come through postgame as well um Deonte rightly credited herb Jones and Herb

Jones is a monster and uh you know Pelin usually use herb Jones on Trey because Tre is the primary guy but herb Jones on deante it’s not de’s fault and he got better as the game went along as well but um they were able to load up to

Dante and that’s that’s one of the limitations right now that they only have one of the two guards is that if you’re only having to focus on one guy and you could throw length at him in the way they did with Jones and Marshall and even alado is not huge but it’s

Certainly pesky that made life hard from the outset for Atlanta also Hunter had a rough start as well 10 guys played for Atlanta in this game uh but very little of West Matthews only four minutes and it was all in the first half TR forth only seven minutes in this game so um

Kind of the usual cast of characters and we’ll come back to that more later on they were down six the end of the first quarter and honestly that felt like a good result because the Hawks yes they’re down six but they were eight of 30 from the field in the first quarter

With only two free throw attempts so they got a lot of shots to the rim but they didn’t make any of them and uh to be down only six then was actually probably uh fortunate I would say they had the advantages in the turnover battle and rebounding battle at that

Point in time but then the Pelicans broke it open to open the second quarter and from that point forward the Hawks were essentially well behind the eightball the rest of the game an 18-4 run by the Pelicans to open the second quarter the Hawks down by 20 points by

The middle of the second and you know it wasn’t over at that point I’m not saying that but the Hawks were essentially only able to get it to like 12 or 13 from that point forward it was like they were down and you know at that point you need

To have a big run to actually just get back into the game much less to win it and that that run kind of never came they tripped away some we’ll talk about that as we get going here but um there was a time out in the midd that run by

The Pelicans didn’t really stop anything offensively it was just dire I know I gave the numbers earlier but through a quarter and a half of this game the Hawks had 24 points in 18 minutes on 38 possessions so that speaks for itself 28 Four Points in 18 minutes is horrible um

I think everybody knows that but just you know even more granular than that they scored 0.63 points per possession that is untenable they were shooting very poorly from from that from from the field from three marur at Hunter Comm minded to shoot 0 14 in the first

Quarter and a half of this game they work getting all the way to the rim lots of floaters lots of mid-rangers and some contested threes B combination there mercifully the Hawks did roll over and kind of get things going a little bit um they tried some Zone as I mentioned

Before made the pcin slow out a a little bit it chipped away a little bit they got got back with an 11 at halftime they actually scored their only good stretch of offense until the fourth quarter was the end of the first half they had 18

Points in about six and a half minutes and mostly that was Key by hitting four threes they were four six from three in that period and it’s kind of a good reminder like if you watch this game kind of track it throughout the contest the Hawks only had good offense going

When they made their threes and that’s kind of the reality they only have one guy right now in Murray that breaks teams breaks guys down off the Geral um a lot of the other supporting pieces whether it be bogy even Hunter baay they are Garrison especially they’re riant on

Three-point shooting so like they’re just even more relying on that than usual right now and that was very evident in this game when the Hawks made threes they were able to kind of score at a reasonable level when they didn’t that was kind of it um even with the

Late charge the offense was kind of you know dire in the first half which we talked about before bogey had a good half with 13 points but that was kind of it um and again just to say it one more time they were pretty good defensively in the first half unfortunately they’re

Down 11 points despite a good defensive half because they were that bad on offense but um in the fourth in the second half I should say it flipped but not right away while the second half was much more offensive focus on both sides it didn’t start right away in fact the

Two teams combined to score 12 points in the first six minutes it was six to six they couldn’t make a shot on either side the Pelin actually went small it didn’t actually work that well um the highlight of the night in some ways was be C going

Behind the back and then having a wraparound assist to Capella for a dunk that made the rounds that was kind of a fun play by feet but within a few minutes they were down by again the Hawks were they actually had 50 points in 30 minutes to start the game that’s

Just uh they were down 22 after an 11-2 run by the pelons there was one more run coming for the Hawks it was an 11 to1 run at the end of the third quarter and to begin the fourth quarter and uh they got a three to go down by sadik at the

End of the third quarter that actually was a good Pace by bogy to kind of set it up and then a three by Hunter to get down to 12 um but that was the end of that so I mentioned it earlier but a little bit now we’ll kind of dig in on

Sid’s injury to what we know right now I’m recording this pock late on Sunday so keep that in mind but um about 10 and a half minutes to go in the game they have a fast break and ba his leg kind of gives out his left leg kind of gives out

It didn’t look good on the replay at all I’m not a doctor but everyone had the same reaction like man that does not look good he did stay to take the free throws um sadik is a very proud and tough guy um I thought there was

Basically no chance he was gonna stay in the game but just as a reminder if you don’t shoot the free throws you cannot come back in you are eliminated from the game now again I roll eyes a little bit because I think there was no way he was

Com to come back in the game but he stayed in made one of two went to the locker room right away he was in clear pain he was not putting really any weight on on that on that leg he was limping off on his own power which is

Probably a good sign but quickly the Hawks officially ruled him out with what they’re calling a quote hyperextended left knee hopefully that is all it is um but we will see they’ll be doing some more examination on this Quinn asked after the game basically said everybody saw the play and hopefully he’s okay

Kind of thing so TBD I think the Hawks will almost certainly do an MRI um we might not know that until at least Monday um the Hawks don’t play again until Wednesday on the road but they will certainly have a practice between now and then and they have to travel on

Tuesday so TBD on on a timeline for an update but something will probably come through on sadik in the next day or two but just as a reminder sadique Bay he he has some fo balles for sure this year he’s had a bad shooting season but he’s

Really tough sadik has been one of the most durable players in the entire NBA since he came into the league he missed one game before this this year he missed five games last year but he played every game his second season and he missed two games his rookie year so he’s missed

Eight games in almost four total Seasons that’s pretty impressive for a guy who plays a lot of minutes he’s obviously of course he’s big and physical and strong but durability is not always about that either so he’s a really tough guy likes to play um so that’s a brutal beat for

Anybody but especially for a guy who’s like basically never gets hurt um the hope would be that of course Jaylen Johnson is back pretty soon we don’t know that right now but uh He’s listed his day today we’ll see he’s he was ruled out immediately for this game

Before the game was starting so maybe he goes on the trip we’ll see but um if the Hawks don’t really have a lot of depth as we’ve covered a lot on this podcast but if you’re a new listener Atlanta only all season long basically has only had three guys you would be comfortable

With playing a lot of minutes at the forward spots and that is jayen Johnson DeAndre Hunter and sadique Bay two of them are currently hurt so that leaves one in De Hunter and then also the guy that is the most versatile and talented Center they have and a Kong wo who’s

Played some time at the four this year as well is also out they so they can’t go big either so let’s just say for example they have to play a game or two or longer without sadique and Jaylen the math on that is not great obviously you

Want you’ll play Hunter as much as you can but that means a lot of V Cree it means potentially Wes Matthews Dylan Windler um small ball looks with bogey playing a forward spot like it is not great that’s the one spot you know other than losing Trey which they already have

Of course for right now they can’t can’t afford forward losses and they have two of them at the moment which is obviously pretty bad so anyway moving on from there the game was mostly over um not because C went down but it was kind of already trained in that direction in

That in that period of time they were down 21 or so right after that there was a small thing but Zion got a technical foul in the fourth and uh I know Glen Willis said this same thing I noticed that people I was confused by this bogie

Was on the court and didn’t shoot the free throw Deonte did and you know Deon is a good free throw shooter so it’s not like a disaster but usually a guy like bogy 92% this year would take that free throw and de missed it so it got more

Attention but that was a weird thing I just want to say that out loud anyway it never really got close they were down a little as 12 but that was like with like 90 seconds left and it was not really that close so as much as the Hawks did

Score in the fourth quarter the defense led up and it was uh much more uh let’s just say upbeat as far as the offense and defensive it was much more F flowing in the fourth quarter I’m not sure if that was good or good or bad but the Run

Never came and aside from that little push at the end of the third and the fourth they were uh short-handed and that was kind of the end of that so we’ll have more coming up on the player side as far as my evaluations of each and every guy who appeared in the

Rotation tonight for the Hawks but before we get to that a word from our partners on the show today’s show is brought to you by LinkedIn jobs whether if you’re hiring for a small business you want to find quality professionals that are right for the roles that you have available and

Loose use LinkedIn jobs for hiring purposes post your job for free by going to linkedin.com loock on NBA one more time that is linkedin.com lockon NBA ter apply all right and the player evaluations in this contest again 10 guys played the only active player who did not appear was Dylan Windler uh he’s

Not played yet for the Hawks after arriving on that two-way contract not a huge surprise but just noting that um West Matthews played four minutes had an assist looked fine but they clearly don’t want to play him a ton right now he’s playing these little small bursts

To give him some defense but ofly he’s not a great uh option no matter what Trent Forest although I will say West might play more if city has to miss some time uh Trent Forest seven minutes had a rebound had a foul offensively he obviously is not Deon so when Deon sits

The offense is hurt by that that’s not breaking news I thought Trent did okay but obviously the offense takes a nose dive without Deon available right now um Garrison Matthews played 19 minutes had two points um four fouls actually was very hyper aggressive took two threes

Missed them both not his best work I didn’t think from Garrison in this game he wasn’t disastrous but he wasn’t very good either Bruno at Six Points 11 rebounds two Steals and three blocks in 22 minutes is actually impressive for Bruno kind of usually the Bruno

Experience he was pretty um active in a good way mostly um sometimes he’s overeager but uh he rebound the ball really well I thought he like produced a lot of good activity in this game good energy but the Hawks were minus 17 in his minutes that’s not really on Bruno

It’s just the way it kind of worked um the Hawks actually won the minutes in this game with capella and bogy on the court which is crazy in a game that they were losing the entire way essentially but um that’s just how kind of how things broke um the other guy on the

Bench is DeAndre Hunter so this is interesting to me I spent a lot of time on this podcast I also did a visit with the folks at sports ethos Hawks ethos with Mikey and Tim last night um I talked about this on that show as well Hunter has been very clearly limited to

Like 29ish minutes he’s not crossed that threshold earlier this week Quinn kind of offered up that he’s still on a minutes restriction um it seems like based on tonight that might not be the case anymore he played 36 minutes tonight so he went from not playing as

Many as 30 since like December obviously he missed part of that time but since he came back he’s played a l a large SWA of games has not played more than 29 minutes and not because they didn’t want him to because he wasn’t allowed to I don’t think and then tonight he played

30 now part of that is that sadique went down but the train staff doesn’t just like take a restriction off because a guy a guy went down so I don’t we we we’ll probably never know what the actual restriction is or was but it might not exist anymore that’s a TVD

We’ll see how that feels also if B is out um if Hunter is available to play this many minutes they’re going to have to start him um and we’ll see how that goes moving forward but I just not I wanted to note that that he played a lot

Of minutes in this game we’ll see how if that sort of uh rears his ugly head in the future but performance- wise de was not his best self in this game he’s been playing very well recently but tonight not as much 12 points on 15 shots three

Of seven from two two of eight from three did have six rebounds uh two assists he wasn’t awful he just didn’t shoot it well in this game but uh keeping that in mind he he had been really really really hot and uh just like desante both Hunter and Murray had

Much better second halfes in the first halfs I mentioned before I I think anyway they combined to open the game 0 of 14 so the rest of the game they were like 12 of 21 so they were pretty solid in the second half or the second last

Two and a half quarters but those guys just had a cold start that put the Hawks in a bad spot um to the starters v c 22 minutes three points three assists including the one beautiful one to Capella had a steal hit a three but not

The most willing shoer in the world I don’t know what they’re going to do there they might stick with v i don’t know what that it’s more of a situational thing but they clearly trust him more than Dylan wiler and West Matthews right now but that’s not a huge bar to clear

Necessarily um sadique Bay obviously the big thing is the injury which we just don’t know so hold your breath on that we all we’re room for S to not be seriously injured so keep an eye on that um on the court he was three away from three in this game five rebounds 14

Points played fine um but uh you know Miss some open shots but that’s kind of been the story this year for sidik in a lot of ways but again fingers crossed that he is not seriously injured after the um way that that looked tonight um capella was pretty good I thought

Actually in this game 18 points 14 rebounds and a block for Clint in 26 minutes he was good around the rim too n n of 13 um plus four in the game like he and Bogi again had a good partnership going on in this one I don’t think he

Was in but the numbers were solid I thought he played pretty well um and that’s a good sign as he S as he sort of gets his legs back under him after missing all that time uh Murray obviously you know it was kind of a tale

Of weirdness in this one so Friday he was brilliant right he was dominant the the Pelicans had sorry the Grizzlies had no one to guard him at all which I mentioned on that show and he made him he made him pay rightly so in the first

Half he was pretty ghastly I thought in this game two 12 from the floor like herb Jones is a menace and by the way postgame Deon credited herb uh and right so herb is a monster but um in the second half he did find it so in the

Second half he 58 from the floor I think he had points heend he end up 23 points and 11 assists not super efficiently but he was four 10 from three he’s been shoo the ball both for three all year long something I’ve noted a lot but like

Deonte has turned himself into a quality three-point shooter on real volume which was not the case people have kind of Forgotten this before he got to Atlanta he was not a three-point shooter like at all not he wouldn’t take any but uh he has really raised his attempts and his

Accuracy level the last year year and half and that was again again tonight four of 10 is really good from three-point range um four turnovers 11 this is also fine so uh once he kind of figured it out he was much better first half not as much but um I don’t put that

On Jon like I tweeted this tonight it the difference in quality as far as far as like who he was defended by in this game between what the Grizzlies had to offer with their like 10 days in g- League guys compared to Herb literally herb Jones uh with his length is like

The biggest Gap you can possibly have in two games in the NBA so there’s some Grace to be extended to joh who didn’t play that well in this game but certainly got better as the game went along and uh it was a tough spot for him

As he was getting all of the attention from a good defensive team and then Bogi was really good I thought in this game 25 points seven assists two steals he was only two of four on twos with seven of 15 from three and by the way um bogie

Is now top five all time in career threes by a member of the Hawks and this is only his fourth season so he has been prolific there uh he was good in this game and uh you know the starters were not bad they were all minus or better in

A game they lost by 13 points so like the the actual key actually the nonv stars were actually minus six or better so it was really the bench they kind of got waled in this game um all New Orleans bench guys especially TR Murphy and Larry Nance were really really

Productive so that’s not a huge surprise New Orleans is really deep and the Hawks with their injuries are not deep at all right now so there you go anyway um this loss is not catastrophic in misst standings for the Hawks um I understand not everybody’s looking terribly at the

Play in race every day um so people don’t care about it but it’s my job to to present that stuff to you the Hawks are actually closer to the nine seed they two games behind Chicago than they are to the 10 seed they’re three and a

Half games up on the Nets at the end of tonight they don’t have the tiebreaker against the Nets um they had an awful loss on Saturday did Brooklyn against the Hornets some people said the race was over then it really was it’s not over because the Nets have a tiebreaker

And the Hawks are so banged up right now the Hawks are still favored to get in the playin even with all their injuries which kind of tells you about Brooklyn and the situation and look there’s only so many games remaining in the season so yes their the lead is not insurmountable

But the Hawks are still very clearly favored to make the plan and we’ll follow that story as it goes um and from here the Hawks start their annual long West Coast drip now they went out to the West Coast for a brief time in the first

Half of the season but this is there’s always one long West Coast trip in every season because you only go out there a couple times but one of them is usually long one this year it’s this one so they play five games on the road beginning on Wednesday they they don’t have another

Home game for like almost two weeks after today all five games tip off at 9:30 p.m. Easter time or later so it’ll be a lot of sicko hours and I understand for folks that can’t stay up late I get that people have jobs I will have

Podcasts after this game so I’ll be up late but uh you can catch up with us hopefully uh the next morning or whatever you have to do there the first one is on Wednesday in Portland that is the friendliest game of the trip by by a

Lot Portland is not very good now you could still lose that game it’s an NBA team and it’s on the road but Portland as we speak is 18 45 so that’s a game where the Hawks even without a lot of their personnel have a decent chance to win um after that

Though it gets harder and harder as the trip goes along they go to Utah and Utah isn’t great but that’s a road environment that is usually pretty tough for some oppon opposing teams because it’s you know it’s altitude the Jazz are not awful by any means um and then they

Go to La for two games to play the Clippers and the Lakers on a back toback nothing easy about that one and then the last game of the trip is in Phoenix in Phoenix is not playing um super incredibly basketball this year but they are still a playoff level team they’re

37 and 27 that’s a road game so um it’s triage right now obviously we don’t know um if Jaylen will play on the trip at all we don’t know if B will play on the trip at all I’m very confident that we will not see Trey and I would be shocked

If we saw ana um or maybe Kobe as well so I think at the very least the Hawks are going to be short-handed on this trip um my evaluation of like how winnable some games are is going to have to do a lot with Jaylen and B so we just

Don’t know right now but uh at the very least it’ll be a little bit of triage and hopefully you know you know it’s good that the Hawks Bank some wins like this this five and three stretch the Hawks are on including the loss tonight is really helpful to kind of if you want

Through the Pres of the plan and all that stuff to bank some wins here especially before this trip on to the West Coast that every team every player every staffer dreads the West Coast trip because it’s just hard flying time changes Long Way Long a long time away

From your from your from your homes and your families all that stuff it’s it’s brutal for everybody so uh hopefully the haw just go out there and like go two and three three and two that’d be awesome if you could steal a couple games there just avoid an 0 and five

It’s probably the biggest thing but um stay tuned we’ll have full coverage of that as we go I will have at least one show between now and the game on Wednesday kind of a longish break between the early game Sunday and the late game it’s I think it’s a 10:30
