[Woj] Sengun hasn’t yet been ruled out for the season, but there’s significant healing that would need to occur before he could be cleared to play again with Rockets’ regular-season ending on April 14, sources said.

Even if he got the best case scenario, there’s only one month left. Better off just letting it fully heal.

That said it would be good for the rest of the team to keep fighting to the end for development and culture.

Hopefully he’ll have plenty of offseason for training after recovery and rehab. If last year was any indicator, then it’ll be really nice to see what he brings next season.

Tbh I am fine if he is shut down the rest of the year. He doesn’t need to prove anything else this year and it could be a great opportunity to give guys like Jalen, Cam, Amen more ball dominant opportunities to end the year.

  3. Whatever they decide, I hope it is on the side of caution. He’s our long-term guy. Bless him and hope this adds resilience to his journey. 🙏

Not worth risking if the playoffs are not in sight.

My fantasy season just took a massive blow.

  6. Don’t give a fuck about this season, our play off chances are weak anyway. Just come back safe and sound young man.

Severely sprained ankle I’m guessing is a grade 3. Please just put him on PT for the rest of the season + off-season to minimize future re-occurrence.

That is a permanently debilitating injury that will lead not only to easier re-occurrence on the effected ankle but auxiliary injuries from overcompensating if not handled correctly. Better than a ACL tear, but worse than an ankle bone break.

Not at all worth rushing him back, we aren’t even going to make the play-in anyway.

I’m so relieved its not a knee ligament issue.

No need to risk it. We aren’t competing for play in.

He’s out for the season yall don’t overthink it

  10. Hopefully he sits out.

Time to see if Bari and Green can step up.

Great news, hope the ankle will not continue to be an issue during his career.

Excellent opportunity to use the highest tech bionics to make him better than new😂

We saw what we needed from Sengun. He’s a star. Time to see who else can step up.

Shut him down for the season. Landownunder got this.

  14. I’m bummed that he’ll miss out completely on consideration for MIP, but that’s not very important in the big scheme of things. He did his thing this season. If there’s players who want more touches and opportunities, they’ll have them now.

Let him heal and lets get the other young ones some play time in the meantime, maybe explore some new rotations for when Sengun is on the bench.

Maybe Jock Landale will pick up where Al P left off LOL. Do we even have another back up big man other than Boban?

  17. He’s done for the year just like Tari and that’s fine. Let’s go big Jock and Uncle Jeff!

I hope they keep him out unless we’re somehow in the mix for the play-in tournament in early April. No need to play when the games don’t matter, and now that we know his injury isn’t very serious it makes too much sense to let him fully heal and be ready for next year’s training camp.
