Utah Jazz: Otto Porter Jr. has announced his retirement:

“For the past 11 years, I had the chance to live my lifelong dream of playing in the NBA. That dream was capped by winning an NBA Championship! Unfortunately, my body is not allowing me to play at the level that I expect of myself, and I have therefore decided to retire.”

  1. Aw man, it’s always sad to hear when a player retires as a result of their body just not holding up. Wish he got to do more during his time as a Raptor, I was really excited when we signed him. Shame he won’t continue playing elsewhere

Remember when he was the best free agent we ever signed,

Played 8 games in 2 years

Sad to see him retire, him and Temple were the bench cheerleaders before he got traded. At least he won a chip with the warriors in 2022, most players don’t even win a chip before they retire.

I wonder if him and his wife will stay in Toronto since that was a factor in him signing to the raptors.

Unbelievable that he was able to stay healthy enough for a championship run with warriors

The 4 seasons before that he barely played. And then the 2 years after that with us he barely played.

He could ball. His body let him down. I hope his injuries don’t impact his day to day life too much.
