  1. He is really childish and has a huge ego. Someone should remind him that he would be earning nothing without fans and the media.

    💀💀💀 “interesting”. I love Jamal

Stans are embarrassing. Jamal was disrespectful on human level. Yeah it’s their job and all that but more importantly you should look people in the eyes when you talk to them and don’t treat them as if they are subhuman when they are literally just doing their job. It’s embarrassing somebody even has to tell him this. The reporter had every right to feel disrespected and be mad.

I wanna know what he would hand said if Brandon was there lol

I can see both sides here. But I feel for Vogt. Few people out there have as much respect for Murray as he does, and without that context, his tweet seems a bit too harsh. Though with that context I feel that there is some valid criticism to be had. From a distance, Murray seems to have moments of great maturity and then ones where he can do better. Tough part is, and Vogt mentions this on his apology clip — nobody cares about the media’s perspective when things get a little messy.

good on Vogt, rounds of apologies is where he made a mistake.

  7. And hopefully this is the end so we can all be spared further collective embarassment

  8. I think Jamal is a bit insecure about never making an All-Star team. He seems himself as a All-Star and All-NBA level guy. And the fact Vogt through the fact he never made an All-Star game in Murray’s face is messed up.

And you can say, Murray doesn’t care about All-Star. He cares about championships….. I would argue, Making an All-Star and All-NBA would have qualified him for a super max contract. That’s 100+ million dollars to care. He Cares!

  9. I’ll never understand players that hate interection with media this much, don’t get me wrong, I get it can be annoying, but come on man, it’s not difficult to understand people doing their job, plus, it’s part of your job as well, but whatever. Deserved critisism from Vogt, though he could’ve frame it differently and hilarious response by Murray, is this a threat?

  10. B Vogt must be shitting bricks haha. I wouldn’t want beef with Jamal.

  11. Would have been funny if Adam had said “actually it’s Brendan…” to Jamal.

Does Jamal need something to be fired up about ? His game is silk when he’s mad.

  13. Both Jamal and Brendan had bad moments. It wasn’t any worse than some of the dudes posting here’s bad moments, but no one gives a crap about that. Has everyone here been perfectly respectful to everyone you’ve ever met, no matter how bad a mood you were in? Granted you might be more inclined to put up a front with cameras and microphones on you, but if you spent countless hours for years in front of cameras and microphones you might be more inclined to slip. Same thing with Brendan. It wasn’t great to bring up the all star thing even if he had a fair point to make that Jamal was being disrespectful, but again, he’s also got more eyeballs on him as a person in sports media. Nobody should care about any of this within a week’s time.

  14. That’s what you get when you send the personality hire to do real work.

I see the dude around all the time he not a very friendly guy no where near the people person AG is kind of sad when your a big fan but I treat him like any other person

Athletes calling out reporters and columnists for a take is as old as sports journalism. Guys like Kiszla and Paige routinely got called out by Denver athletes for something they wrote or the way they asked a question. And, rarely did the reporters/columnists apologize for their takes. They usually gave it right back. Mainly because they were trying to be objective and did not have a rooting interest in the teams they covered

Putting aside whether or not sports journalism is actually journalism (they are covering a bunch of adults playing a game), the internet and social media have changed how teams are covered. What’s different is the rise of the fan journalist. I like the coverage and insight DNVR provides. But they make it clear they have a rooting interest in the local teams they are writing about. Not saying it was better in the “old days,” just that things are are different now. Which makes interactions like this one a bit more jarring.

People are caught up discussing Jamal watching UFC on his phone, I thought his response to Matt Moore Saturday night was way more disrespectful than the phone thing

  18. Ya_Got_GOT

Kroenke is the reason there’s no Jamal-star

  19. Joker is truly 1 of 1. Stupid little antics like this make me appreciate #15 even more. These are LeBron antics and I’m not here for it.

I think Jamal simply dislikes media sessions more than your average NBA player. It’s tough and I feel bad for the local media members. But it could be a lot worse, at least they don’t have to deal with Greg Popovich! Murray has cemented himself as a top 5 Nugget of all time!! I am rooting for DNVR’s success and for Jamal Murray to make the all-NBA team! Vogt was clearly emotional with that tweet and I kind of respect it! But I also respect Jamal’s fire! I hope these two become great friends someday!!! They are both temperamental at times and great at their jobs!
