Submitting the “are the Spurs better without Wemby and Vassell” narrative to ESPN right now

Because lineups were played tonight that actually made sense. And playing Podz with the bench unit, the unit he actually played well with all season (I don’t know what people have been watching based on the rhetoric around him in the starting lineup, but he has not played well at all with the starters; both his and Steph’s offensive impact tanked with him in it), actually allowed him to score the ball again. His shooting splits as a starter the last few weeks? 37.7/32.4/63.6 with a 46.4 TS%. Tonight against the other team’s bench? 14 pts on 50% overall and 60% from 3 with a 67 TS%.
It really isn’t that complicated.

We started the game with better spacing and the defense was better

Helps that the spurs didn’t shoot like the 2016-2017 warriors

Defensive scheme and effort isn’t about whether Wemby plays.

It’s more like they got embarrassed at home and they actually came in prepared and ready to play today.

The Skill-level of this team is proportional to the number of Stars in the opposing team. /jk

I guess I’m the only one remembering the sub being in full meltdown mode a few days ago with threads saying the Warriors would be better off not making the playoffs.
