Coach when you have a second quarter the way that you guys did what was missing in the third that kind of collapsed the lead um I think it actually started in the second quarter we second quarter was the one that we started really well and uh uh kept them it was
5339 we kept them to 39 points uh all the way to two and a half minutes to the end of the of the quarter and uh um some sloppy execution on offensive end a couple of Miss Miss um just allowed them to to get on the
Run and uh that’s when they they were able to close the quarter and uh um to make it only five-point lead instead of you know having 15-point lead at a halftime and then in the third quarter they came back we knew that they’re going to came they confident uh in the
Third quarter what was really missing is um our aggressiveness on defense to create some of the Steals and turnovers that were really good in in that uh in that uh second quarter and uh um the rest of the game we were not able pretty much whole game we were not able really
To control the glass you know we ended up being down 21 in rebounding uh we created 32 uh assists but we just did not have enough on the glass and allow them Second Chance points that was big biggest difference the difference was the free throw line as well uh so we had
To do better job in the second half uh first half they had uh they had uh uh only four free throws and they ended up game with 31 free throws so second half we uh our aggressiveness was there but we we we just committed way too many fouls between um tonight’s game of
Course and the way that you guys came out in uh Denver like what do you feel like was the difference that kind of set those two games cuz it feels like the execution was just really really strong in Denver and maybe a little bit different right it’s um it’s hard to to
Say game to game uh what would be the the main difference it’s different team it’s different different mindset of the opposing team as well um obviously Detroit uh they wanted to start the game really well that they had chance to see the way we open the game against Denver
It’s definitely learning opportunity for us and that’s uh that’s something that we need to address how we’re starting the games but also I talked to the team about uh getting the feel when the game momentum of the game like we cannot turn over make a turnover now this is the
Moment we got to re really rebound like the moment the moments that change the the really Rhythm of the game so that was uh that was a big message for us I thought that we had really good stretches of basketball we just got to extend 20 minutes of really good
Basketball to 25 to 28 to 30 to through five so it’s like sorry just to um harping on what you were trying to say so say for example you guys go on a run Detroit comes and collapses it let’s say or stops it is it just the response
After that you’re looking for needs to be a a little bit more attentive from your side or or just sort of just throughout the entire game I think it’s throughout the whole game uh sometimes we’re going to go on the run and we cannot relax at that point if team goes
On R we cannot lose our head you know this game is game of game of runs you know it’s just like how do you prevent big big leaks you know how to PR how to keep keep it more under control just like that there are momentum changing
Plays that that can get you really going or it can get the other team going how tough a match up was Jaylen Duren when he’s playing the way he played tonight uh 25 uh points and 24 points and 23 rebounds five assists jonte obviously tonight again showing another kind of layer of his
Game with the blocks what are you seeing from him in terms of how he’s been able to come along in such a quick amount of time um I was really happy to see uh BLS for sure but also he was so active and aggressive in uh in a coverages he was
Getting deflections uh he was really active there uh he got a couple of steals as well and that that was really what what gave me uh confidence to keep him on the floor even to to finish the the game with him he does really good job with that and he continues to
Surprise me with his his athletic ability do you tell him to kind of look at a Kelly let’s say you know you don’t need to necessarily be a point guard to playmake but the way that Kelly’s able to facilitate and have that size is also quite great for this group as well no
Doubt Kelly is somebody that uh that our whole team is going to look at because of his level of unselfishness uh and the way he connects with with a teammates and definitely he that’s a that’s a good uh comparison for Jon to mold his game thanks for watching the Toronto rappers YouTube channel
