I saw this live too, but no one seemed to mention it. I thought he clearly looked like he was in pain, but I didn’t even see a trainer talking to him after he sat so who knows.
He grabbed his elbow a lot during the game…I was expecting Thibs to take him out multiple times but Thibs only cares about D not OG
Bwahehe
He was shaking that arm a lot. Took it easy on a couple of plays too. Really shouldn’t be playing, though it’s probably just residual soreness from surgery.

Thibs didn’t see or hear nothing. OG is gonna get +35 mins this road trip by any means necessary lmao

Dang looks like 40 min for you OG

I know it’s jokes being thrown around but in all fairness to Thibs, I doubt he operates in a vacuum. He listens to the trainers and team doctors. If they have cleared OG for play and he feels comfortable playing, he’s gonna play. No one understands their own body better than an athlete, but you all are acting like Thibs is some kind of dictator forcing players to play no matter what.

As someone who has had surgery on my arm… this shit is no joke when you get back into sports. Any invasive procedure can risk damaging nerves in the arm.
The pain of surgery is horrible. Then you become pretty sensitive to pains again as the arms recovering. He’ll be fine but shit hurts like a mfer

This is educational for some people to see how much effort and sacrifice players need to make to play in the NBA. Yeah they make a lot of money. But sacrifices come first.

I don’t get some of you people. You want OG back then when he comes back you say that Tibs is overplaying him, The medicla team cleared him for contact and game action and that;s it.
You want Randle back then when he comes back you”ll start clock watching to see how much he plays.
You say that Tibs overplays his players but when someone points out to you that only one Knick is in the top 20 for minutes a game and that’s Brunson and he’s only 19th you make more excuses for why that’s misleading.
Good players win games and we need to play good players to win games.

At the very very least – it is not a very good look to have a player coming back from injury constantly yelling in pain.
I personally have never seen a player be medically cleared that is yelling from pain and clearly uncomfortable. The problem with pain too, even if hes unlikely to re injure himself, is that your body starts compensating naturally to stop the pain, which leads to other injuries.
I have trust in the medical staff, but as a former professional athlete, i just want to say that i have NEVER seen something like this.
