Nah, but Sabonis absolutely did own AD last game. Idk what it is but AD is faltering consistently against Sabonis, who is absolutely an inferior overall player otherwise.
AD could have adjusted last game. He’s trying to get the rebounds while boxing out Sabonis. Maybe if they meet again, just try boxing out and let your teammates get the boards.
AD got a narrow lower body compared to other NBA bigs. These bigs also have way better post fundamentals. Games against Embiid, Jokic, and now Sabonis have always been a nightmare for AD. Only if Lakers had a decent C so that AD could thrive in the PF role.
Sabonis lasered focused. AD doesn’t seem as focused. If he turn it up, which he will, it’s over.

Sabonis is playing the best basketball of his career right now, but this 0-10 narrative is overblown. Over their careers when they both played each other AD still has the better numbers by a mile.
I think the issue is the way AD is used to playing defensively. He is the anchor and roams a lot to clean up our messes, so when a team has a one dimensional big like a Gobert, Ayton, etc, AD can sag off and still recover. When he has to guard a big that acts as the hub of the offense like Jokic, Sabonis, and even Sengun this season, AD gets into trouble because a) he can’t sag off of them because they can just shoot, and if he guards them closely, they can pass it too well.

Yes and no. AD got dicked all 4 games this season. Both as a team and individually. So yes 0-4 minimum and that’s just this season.
