He’s really surprising everyone his newest Toronto Raptor jamas Ramsey is coming into this team on his second 10-day contract that he just received you late last night early this morning and is playing pretty well really showed out against the Orlando Magic and despite the fact that Tonto Raptors

Ended up losing this game obviously continuing the tank in 2024 trying to keep that draft pick trying to keep it out of San Antonio there are some positives there are some positives in this game to take away from some negatives which we will dive into

But the first guy I do want to discuss is probably the most unknown player on the Toronto Raptors roster here now at this point and it’s jamas Ramsey who again signed his second 10-day contract today is only 22 years old played a couple Seasons with the Sacramento Kings

And has a lot of potential we saw a little bit you know that crazy windmill dunk he had in his most uh recent game I forget who we were playing against these games are going by the the Detroit Pistons had a nasty dunk in that game but tonight actually got some extended

Run as he did in this last game but got the opportunity to kind of show out because of it now the jump shot for again uh a guy that’s a guard so you know he needs to be able to knock down his shots to play at the NBA level he

Made uh you know he made one three tonight it was banked in so we won’t dive into that too much but made some nice drives I felt was really aggressive on the glass which he was doing against the Detroit Pistons brings a level of intensity on the defensive end had 10

Points five rebounds one assist one steal and you know knocked down three of four free throws again in 18 minutes I thought jamas Ramsey getting that 10day contract was a guy that I think Toronto Raptor fans he didn’t really impress anyone to a crazy extent in his first

Stint in a 10day contract but now he’s been around for a bit got a couple games you know got the rust off or at least the the Jitters out in that Detroit Pistons game I thought he came out in this game tonight against uh against the Orlando Magic and played very solid in

His 18 minutes thought he brought a leveled intensity on defensive end and surprised me so hope jamas Ramsey again all these players that are on the Raptor roster right now especially with all of the injuries all the players out currently on this team there are some opportunities for these guys that have

Are younger players have some potential in the NBA to take the rest of this season and flourish show the Toronto Raptor show MSI Jerry Show dark rakovic they deserve minutes and deserve to be brought back on this team in the future and again jamas Ramsey one game isn’t

Going to change everything you know from a Raptor’s front office fan perspective but it’s nice to see a guy come out bring a level of Defense which is solid as well as you know show some flashes on the offensive end again didn’t make a three coming into this game it’s only

Didn’t even know how to react to that that just didn’t feel like an NBA basketball game didn’t feel like a g-league basketball game it felt like two mid-level high school teams really going at it that’s sort of the vibe of the game that we had against the Detroit

Pistons tonight the Raptors played a solid two quarters you know two three quarters of this game were actually pretty good the Raptors brought it to the Orlando Magic who one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference an elite defense and did their thing and the guy

That really deserves the most credit for it and he’s been playing his way maybe into a contract he probably would have received this summer or you know that he lost early on in the season but Gary Trent Jr our star boy he’s looking back to being the star boy here now at this

Point because he’s put up a pretty solid game in this one knocking down a lot of Threes looking at the stats 31 points for Gary Trent Jr let’s bring up the Raptor stats in here yes 31 points for Gary Trent Jr four rebounds again Gary’s not going to be getting assists or

Anything like that but no turnovers 31 points 7 of 11 from the three-point line a really really solid Knight the guy that really kept us into this game you know really uh kept the Toronto Raptors when the offense was stagnating when things weren’t really going well Gary

Trench was there to knock down a three knock down a bucket to to keep things sort of rocking so shout out to Gary Trent Jr again I don’t know if he’s going to end up coming back I’m not sure what the Raptor plans are for him

Because he’s had a very very up and down season this year but nice to see him have some games earn back some of the money he lost early on in this year because I still think Gary is a good basketball player I still think he’s a

You know a good player along those lines but it’s just uh it’s been a rough one it’s been a rough one for Gary this season but there were there were some other Raptors again Kelly o Len had some weird moments in this one but still continues to fill up the stat sheet you

Know 109 three and one not not one of the better Kelly linic games for this uh since he’s joined the Tron Raptors he’s been quite good especially on the offensive end being really crafty being really effective in that front Court really happy with what we’ve seen from

Kelly Ock hasn’t really been that great in this game tonight but uh Grady dick also eight points one block had some drives tonight where he’s just looking off balance he’s getting pushed out of his spot and that’s obviously the part that hasn’t impressed me about him it’s

Better than I expected but still has a lot of room for improvement to be able to make those drives make those slashes which I’m impressed he’s able to do he’s actually got a bit of confidence going downhill at the basket but when he gets the rim and there’s a solid big defender

In there which the Orlando Magic they have a lot of really good interior Defenders I mean it’s tough for him to finish around the basket so it’s a so it’s a place point of improvement for his game that’s going to have to come again AUS 32 for this game which is not

Great but again trying to guard fron Vagner it’s going to be a tough position for uh you know Gertie dick to be in fron only had 19 points but was very efficient you know getting his buckets getting to the line and all those types of things so that’s just how it goes the

Raptors are depleted gry dicks playing a little bit out of his uh regular spots but I I’m still happy with what we’ve seen from great dick so far this season aaji four of nine had some nice slashes had a nice a couple nice jams in this one finishes at the basket but that

Three-point shot it’s going to have to go down for aaji to really be effective because he’s bringing on the the defensive end he’s had some ups and downs in that area but tonight I thought really really brought it on the defensive end but he’s playing out of

Position right now and this is one thing I see a lot of people trashing on aaji but he’s literally running our power forward spot this guy is a two guard this guy is a this a shooting guard that’s what he was brought in to be it’s

A position he plays and the fact that we have him playing the power forward especially against a team you know with the likes of the Orlando Magic where they have you know in their front line fron they have Paulo they have wend Carter Off the Bench you know they’re a

Pretty big team they have Isaac coming off the bench V the other vogner you know it’s a it’s not a team where things are really It’s just tough a shooty guard playing the four spot so I’m happy with a B being able to Slash playing some solid defense and just hopefully the

Three-point shot ends up coming around for his uh during his Raptor tenure but again emanu quickley was really good early hadit a couple shots but didn’t really do much in the second half of this game 10 points 10 assists a lot of those came a lot of those St came in the

First half I thought it was really encouraging again that’s when the Raptors were up had their runs in this game but Off the Bench again Bruce Brown 12 points five assists four rebounds the nice thing about these Bruce Brown games is his stat lines are going to start

Going up and he’s relatively efficient tonight but H holy smokes I I don’t know the eye test he just really doesn’t fit this team he just really doesn’t fit what’s going on it doesn’t seem like he’s having a very big positive impact and maybe I’m too harsh on the guy maybe

I’m too critical but you know for $20 million I’m hopeful we’re able to get another first round pick from him during the the trade what the trade deadline not this trade deadline NBA draft day you know ahead of this year’s free agency but John Tor didn’t have any

Points didn’t have the greatest of games even though I thought defensively again three steals two blocks solid stuff there I thought uh he did solid job when he was in there you know defending the front line doing all those types of things but Jordan War also in uh 16

Bit capable of really just getting this game going and being effective out there on the offensive end for the Toronto Raptors now a big problem in this game was the team’s inability to guard the threo shooters on the Orlando Magic and letting guys like sugs letting just

Different players on the magic not uh just kind of have their way talking some smack all those types of things so you know that’s really was the kill you seal in the second half of this team letting a lot of three-point shoters go so the defense does have to improve with the

Toronto Raptors but again looking at our lineups the exception of aaji and maybe IQ it depends how you define Bruce Brown no real like notable defenders in the NBA on the team again jamas Ramsey didn’t press me on that end but it’s uh it’s going to be tough to win games when
