The Nets have had terrible seasons the last 20 years but only one time have had a top 4 pick. They always trade those away and for some reason never add protections on them.
This is why the people clowning on anyone wanting to build through the draft saying shit like “I love how people think building through the draft is the only way to build a team” are morons. We’ve literally never built through the draft. It can be argued that our only truly good pick we’ve made in the last decade was Claxton.
This franchise for some odd reason doesnt see the value in trade picks, going through that thread I learned The Rockets owe OKC picks for the next 3 trades but all picks have protections on them, The Nets on the other hand just give away their future for ONE Playoff series win and theyre ready to make the same mistake AGAIN.
