Kyrie Irving PUT ON A SHOW vs. the Nuggets while fasting for Ramadan | The Stephen A. Smith Show

Because I wanted to get to something about the one and only Kyrie Irving where despite fasting for Ramadan Kyrie Irvin put on a show in Dallas Sunday against the Denver Nuggets Irvin hit a clutch 21 foot left-handed hook shot behind the free throw line over nia yic to beat the Denver Nuggets

Here’s the play right here look at that right there that’s Kyrie everybody can’t do that but he can that’s why he’s Kyrie the spectacular play had players and fans going crazy on X formerly known as Twitter Kyrie finished playing 40 minutes 24 points seven rebounds nine assists again this all happened during

Ramadan where Muslims observe a strict fast from dawn until sunset they’re not allowed to eat or drink not even water during daylight hours didn’t stop Kyrie Irving from answering the call though ladies and gentlemen everybody knows I’ve been critical of Kyrie Irving in the pass because of some off court stuff

That he found himself in that repeatedly detracted from His Marvelous play on the basketball court most of the time because he did stuff that kept him off the court instead of allowing him to be on the court but that’s the past we’re not here to talk about the past we’re

Not here to talk about the past I’m going be like Mark Maguire not even pleading the fifth we a here to talk about the past okay we talk about right now right now with Luca donic being in line to capture or to at least V for MVP honors Kyrie Irving has quietly going

About the business business of averaging 25.4 points shooting 49% from the field 41.5% from three-point range and on top of it all 90% from the free throw line the brother is a showstopper y’all and if Kyrie Irving continues to play that way and Luca Dona continues to do what

He did because remember that long range three that he hit over the top of the key when Aaron Gordon and those boys messed up assignment wise and left them wide open the bottom line is Luca donic is that dude and Dall with him and Kyrie Irving all the rest

Of the fellas got to do is their job and make sure they play some damn defense and Dallas Can Make some noise so stay tuned Kyrie Irvin playing on an elite level elevates the Dallas Mavericks exponentially we cannot forget that Okay

On The Stephen A. Smith Show, Stephen A. reacts to Kyrie Irving’s impressive performance in the Dallas Mavericks’ 107-105 win over the Denver Nuggets while fasting for Ramadan.

  1. Kyrie don’t need your back handed compliment Stephen a myth your so fake…plus u look goofy in that Nike tech stick to your grandfather suits

  2. Ramadan and fasting is a wonderful thing. I remember Hakeem Olajuwon fasting during his run and no one could stop him.

  3. Millions of people all over the world do their jobs while observing Ramadan. Let's stop patting people on the back for doing what they're supposed to do.

  4. One thing I love about Stephan A is that he shows respect where it's due despite his relationship with whoever he's talking about.

  5. Putting on a show and showing up to win when it matters is what Kyrie does. Many players have made a game winning buzzer beating shot.

  6. This dude a Hypocrite and if he knows anything about Ramadan, of course he’s playing under what happened to you and pay him. What happened to everything you said bad about this man and others because it keeps your ratings up, but keep degrading black men know others

  7. Ugh…Kyrie has a lucky shot then makes a point TO ADVERTISE his religious fasting and everyone slurps it up. Ugh. Kareem & Olajuwon rocked the Muslim life for decades and didn’t need to advertise & remind everyone, “HeY eVeRyBoDy! i’M FASTING!!”
Meanwhile, they averaged 75 gms/yr FOR A DECADE (try 56 gms/yr for Kyrie) while averaging 25+ PPG on WAY ABOVE 50 FG%, 13 RPG, 3.6 BPG.
    Again: while averaging 75 gms/yr for a decade. Dudes even averaged 4 APG, 1.5 SPG & shot 72 FT%.
Never went out of their way to remind people they fasted. Because they had class and were true competitors, not cheap BS artists like Kyrie.
Now we have media tools blabbing laughable BS about how they were “less skilled” than mediocre-defense, above-average-facilitating, below-average-rebounding Kyrie who averages 56 gms/yr.
They were too busy leading their non-Super Teams to multiple NBA Finals & multiple NBA Championships while being:
    – all-time elite scorers
    – all-time elite defenders
    – all-time elite rebounders
    – all-time elite leaders
    – decent facilitators (especially Kareem)
    – 75% FT shooters for 5-year stretches of their primes
