Isnāt PG in massive decline and constantly hurt? If Moreys grand plan was to max him then he shouldāve just maxed Harden š¤·āāļø
I donāt like the idea of three max contract players, just surround Embiid and Maxey with good/compatible players instead

Honestly a 4yr max scares me, but a 3yr max Iām on board with. Weād get 2 good years out of him, and a big expiring is tradable anyway.

Sign and trade Tobias is the only way to get him the money he wants no?

Financially who cares. Emotionally I would be a wreck.

4/5 year max would be tough to swallow. However PG is still a great archetype for a third star along jo and maxey. He would help to maximize embiidās good years and youāve just got to hope you win a title with him. If you hypothetically swap tobi for PG on this roster that is a legit championship contender IMO

So instead of picking young athletic players to build around maxey who is the future of this franchise the sixers and reddit thinks that is a good idea to give an aging injury prone veteran like Paul George a max contract.. so what happens when we sign this guy and nick nurse runs him into the ground like he did with embiid playing him 40 mins per game then he ends up injured then embiid also ends up injured what’s the plan to get over the hump until both of them comes back? This is why we will never win shit.

PG is such an easy pass for me at this point and I hope to go we don’t just throwaway the end of embiid’s prime with a PG Max.

This screams leverage play. I also donāt think Morey is going to give PG a full max with two other max players.

I hate NBA media. There was one sentence in an article last week about how PG hasnāt signed an extension yet, and how that might be something to monitor.
That sentence got aggregated into a tweet by someone with a username like NutSackSportsHQ, and now we have articles about which teams want PG, where heāll go, and what their cap space will look like afterwards. All based off of absolutely nothing but that one offhand sentence Hollinger typed, all adding absolutely nothing

I think adding a clearly injury prone aging star to Embiid/Maxey when Embiid’s availability is already a perennial question mark would be a giant fuck up by Morey. You’d be relying on too many variables out of your control to really have any shot at a title.
I’d rather go after someone with a lower ceiling who is durable, dependable, and ideally younger personally, even if they aren’t say all star caliber.

PG isn’t a winner.

Push the chips in. PG is a no brainer.

If I’m reading the rules correctly, I don’t think PG will be able to sign a 4-year deal with anyone, provided he opts out.
He will be 34 by the end of this season. If he signs a 4-year deal, he’ll be 38 at the end of that contract, thus in violation of the rules.
So he’s limited to a 3-year deal this off-season.
Can someone check me on this?

Iād much rather just get really good role players around Embiid and Maxey
