Why Isaiah Jackson was the key to the Indiana Pacers win over Pistons | Standings getting tight

Pacers beat the Pistons important one they sweep the season series get back on track move back to sixth in the East Isaiah Jackson the story of the game shakum excellent halberton great and it’s standings watch time all on today’s locked on Pacers podcast you are locked on Pacers your daily Indiana Pacers

Podcast part of the locked on podcast Network your team every day what up y’all happy Thursday and welcome into another edition of the lockon Pacers podcast where we of course talk about the Indiana Pacers as always my name’s Tony East I cover the team for Forbes and Si and today I forgot what

Day it is because I am in Detroit where the Pacers just played the Pistons and it’s after midnight cuz I waited for Sixers Suns to end so I can accurately do standings watch to end Today’s Show cuz we have a lot to talk about Pacers get it done in Detroit despite their

Shortcomings against every other crappy team in the NBA this season they did manage to go 4 and0 against the Pistons this season beating Detroit by more than 20 points on the road a complete Pacers win so they haven’t really had outside of playing the Mavs since the All-Star

Break how’d they get it done lots of guys stepped up mainly the stars and Isaiah Jackson Doug mcder returned everybody played pretty well defense was there again so much to talk about from that game and then we end and of course with standings watch Pacers Battle 6 through eight really tight 4 through

Eight getting looser the whole standings sorting out Pacers very close to clinching a spot in the play in tournament we have a lot to talk about as we roll through Today’s Show we must of course start with the game that the Pacers just played in Detroit beating

The Pistons 122 103 really really odd game Flow if you just knew the final score because the Pacers stunk stunk to start this game they were down 10 to2 like that they were down 14-6 pretty early it looked like classic game we’ve seen from the Pacers a lot this month

Really slow start where they cannot get rolling at all and they have to slowly claw back in a lot of those games they’ slowly clawed back they’ve ended up losing well instead from 14 to8 or excuse me 14 to six which was the score with seven minutes to go in the first

Quarter Pacers dominated the rest of that quarter were ahead after one frame and never looked back dominated the rest of this game on their way to their 19point win so they effectively won the last 42 is basically minutes of action by 30 points they were so much better

Than the Pistons all night and they got out of the early rut thanks to Pascal seaka I don’t to spent a lot of time on him and tyres Halbert looked really good and hit a lefty floater and looked very special but the story of this game to

One boil it down to one player was Isaiah Jackson Isaiah Jackson led the Pacers in minutes and did so many special things to help the the Pacers get the win not saying he was their best performer but compared to expectation he was absolutely fantastic in getting this

Game rolling for the Pacers even in the first quarter when he came in an immediate jolt of energy the story actually starts before this game started because this game was in Detroit in Michigan Isaiah Jackson grew up in the Flint Pontiac area right so close by and

We’ve seen carile do this before where when the Pacers are in a player’s Hometown or home area he will turn to them for either more minutes or an expanded role or something like that last year in Canada if you remember Andrew neard Benedict Ma and OA Brett

All started in Toronto right this is something we’ve seen him do before and so in Michigan for this game Isaiah Jackson has a ton of family there his grandma who has never seen him play in person Isaiah said after the game was in the crowd watching right it’s harder for

Her to move he said now and she was able to be there to see this happen he was psyched to play him and jayen Smith have become really good friends Jaylen Smith said you know what he’s got this let’s do this and so Jaylen Smith the only did

Not play coach’s decision for the Pacers tonight cuz Isaiah Jackson gets in that last spot and with his family watching with friends watching in his hometown kicked some freaking butt 10 points on four of seven from the field 11 rebounds 60% of the Pacers offensive rebounds

Were via Isaiah Jackson who had three on his own six assists six assists for Isaiah Jackson tied with T.J McConnell only halberton had more if you’re curious yes that is in fact a career high for Isaiah Jackson whose previous career high and assists was four so he

Smashed it uh and was fantastic with three steals as well didn’t have to block a shot to dominate the defensive end Isaiah Jackson one of if not his number one best game this season on both ends he was really spry on defense guarding pick and rolls banging with

Jaylen Durant staying down low when he wasn’t on Duren this Pistons team is very odd wisan was in it backup five most of the time it was in jayen Durant but it wasn’t just that they mixed in chimzi metu who they signed today yesterday at Center lots of funky stuff

There but no matter who it was he was ready to go but this like games like this when he defends centers really well he is such a weapon defensively because if you’ve listened to me for a while this isn’t the most common and and maybe not even correct but this is what I

Think about Isaiah Jackson my take has always been I always use the Bulls as an example because the Pacers play the Bulls a lot against the Bulls Isaiah Jackson is going to do better if he was matched up with demard de R rozan than if he was matched up

With vich for a whole game he’s good on the perimeter he’s got quick feet now that he keeps his hands down more he’s very threatening on those matchups whereas centers especially stronger centers with good footwork give him trouble and Duran doesn’t have good footwork he’s young but in general he’s

A very strong Center he’s one of the few guys in the NBA that makes me say whoa because of his size and I see NBA guys all the time but Isaiah Jackson in this game against that kind of player and when he would switch out of the perimeter was awesome he was so

Well-round Ed defensively in this game Pacers dominated plus 10 in his minutes and again he led the Pacers with 28 and a half minutes he made his shots he got to the foul line he grabbed rebounds he passed he said it was just his teammates were open and it was easy the Pacers

Have put this emphasis on passing like just passing not assists but passing move the ball recently and you can really see it at their best the ball is crisp it’s moving you know the the ball moves faster than any player can you know if if the fastest player in the NBA

Spr down the floor all 94 ft it would take two passes to get the ball that far way faster than he could run Pacers loved the pass they love to keep it moving and Isaiah Jackson was crushing it in that department tonight he did everything well for the Pacers he was a

Game changer he came in early in the third quarter I think Miles Turner’s contact fell out but Miles Turner also in foul trouble in this game and Isaiah Jackson said okay I got this I’m G to play with the starters I’m going to be awesome he changed the game and and I

Don’t mean that just because it was a great story that he got to do this in front family I mean he was spectacular in this game Pacers have three capable rotation level centers Jackson gets the short end of the stick but he was phenomenal in this game shows

He still got what it takes and was just brilliant in this win and SE yakum was the thing that got the Pacers out of the mud I didn’t want to start with seak I thought Isaiah Jackson deserved the lead because he played so well and this is significant right the Pacers know this

This is there every time they need it when they went big early in the season and Jaylen Smith became the starting four part of the reason they were able to do that is because they had a capable backup five third five really and Isaiah Jackson who could still make their

Rotation click it’s the same reason they’re so confident starting n hard at the two because they know TJ McConnell can click at the backup one uh Pascal seak s really saved the Pacers like this from a game story flow perspective right if you just looked at his stats and his

Stats are really great 25 points eight rebounds four assists that’s all wonderful right no turnovers plus 12 Pascal yakam is a great player we don’t have to be labor at that point he’s been probably the Pacer’s best player since the All-Star break what made this one special for him from a game Flow

Perspective one his defense was awesome again Rick Carlile talked about it after the game and he wasn’t defending the highest levels of competition the threes and fours for the Pistons Stanley Umi Umi excuse me I just said his name wrong tosan EV bomman I looked up how to say

His name during the game probably got that wrong uh from Princeton uh chesi metsu Evan fornier those were their Force throughout the night not the toughest defensive matchups but zakum did well he he battled over screens better even though he should be going under some of them but I’m sure part of

The game plan is telling him to do what he’s doing um playing well within the team Concepts he looked good on defense but what really made this game really important for him and why it was such a significant one is because he got the Pacers out of that early run right 14

To6 like I said in a Flash 10 to2 you know in in three minutes timeout at that point sakam comes out of it draws it and one 19 seconds later it’s a five-point game he hit the free throw right when it was 14 to six they got down eight guess

What Pascal seak and Corner three throw it right there right back to back down five and then he hadit a floater on their next possession then he had a running left Lup on their next possession and should I keep going how about it he hit a pull-up jumper on

Their next possession and so with 440 to go in the first quarter it was a game again right the Pacers were way down they were getting their butt kicked early they looked like they were getting outclassed by the Detroit Pistons and all of a sudden it was a three-point

Game and SE yakum scored 12 of the Pacers first 15 points almost half of his total for the entire game came in the first seven minutes and 20 seconds of action not to say he wasn’t awesome for the rest of the game he absolutely was awesome for the rest of the game

Especially on the defensive end but a lot of his good stats and high impact in this game came in the first seven eight minutes from a scoring perspective and the Pacers needed him to be fantastic in that way and he was he dragged them out of the mud Miles Turner missed a couple

Threes early Tyrese Halburn of course hasn’t been shooting well nce Smith wasn’t finding his spots early he ended up finding them throughout the game and so they needed someone to get them going from for some way before their subs came in because the subs can be good but they

Don’t want to rely on that and seak was that guy and he paired it with wonderful defense Pacers need him to keep playing like this and he has been he’s improving on both ends he talked about that after the game his Synergy with halberton continues to get better he and Ric

Carile talked about that after the game he’s just getting better for the Pacers in a meaningful way and they won this game on the back of that credit to Pascal sagum for that and credit to the Pacers for getting it done despite their poor star plenty more to talk about

Halberton reaches 20 points and shoots well from three but not on volume which is still noteworthy some other players play stepped up and of course standings watch plenty more to get to on today’s lock on Pacers but first we have to talk about the lovely folks over at Nissan whose

Heat the team right around the Pacers in the standings they barely beat the Cavs last night we will talk about them much later but I love the way Wes and David run that show locked on heat for your second listen today a lot of Pacers fans here in Detroit for Pacers Pistons very

Fun to meet many of you uh who drove up a lot of you from Fort Wayne but a lot of you and G to see the game that was very fun and exciting uh and the game was as well and I must talk a lot about what tyres halberton did in this game

One for three from Deep we will get to that that’s a better percentage than he’s been shooting and yet is still noteworthy not for the percentage but for the volume in general wonderful efficiency 80% on his twos eight for 10 so 9 for 13 in total nine assists four

Steals only two turnovers 20 points plus 18 that’s a team high for Tes halber in only 26 minutes he put up those stats and you could tell he was doing so many exploratory things on offense in terms of a lefty floater the way he was probing and distributing the way he was

You know they had a a two he and Miles Turner screen for seaka basically at the same time I maybe I’m just noticing stuff differently in this game because my Courtside media he was much better than normal so I could see things a lot closer up but the joy he played with was

There and I thought was very noteworthy because yesterday at practice he talked about how you know everyone who’s giving him advice and trying to help him work through what he’s been going through is basically saying you got to find the joy of playing again and he said yeah I mean

I love my life and love playing basketball and being a pro but it’s really hard to find joy in my profession when I’m playing like crap every game uh and he wasn’t he’s not playing like crap but he’s shooting very poorly uh and so

It that’s hard for him so to have a game like this where you could tell he’s having fun he’s joking around he’s happy about his teammate success he’s of course happy to win he’s hitting a crazy stylish Lefty Flo that was the long I think that was the third or

Fourth one he’s hit this season he said uh that was definitely the longest one he’s made this season very cool uh to see that and so a really good statline in general he continues to the same thing I’ve been saying but another game to reinforce it he continues to look

Like the same guy at everything but shooting right twoo percentage way higher than his career average nine assists in only 26 minutes so had he played a normal minutes loow that’s closer to 11 or 12 you know and his teammates made shots which is why he got

Assists right part of the reason his assist numbers aren’t Skyhigh and are just pretty high since the allstar break is the Pacers in general are shooting so bad from three four steals is fantastic right he just was reading the game very well looked very engaged and found ways

To succeed and put up good numbers but he only took three threes and I don’t want to say that to just smash the performance that he had he played very well I don’t want to smash the performance yet at all but part of what he’s talked about and part of what the

Pacers have said in their own struggles from deep is they want to keep shooting right I think it’s important that hurn to get out of the slump does keep shooting and he showed in this game he can be effective without taking a bunch of Threes but three threes and in a game

Is tied for his lowest of the season the other ones were were games that he had a minutes limit Sacramento at home he didn’t play in the first quarter that game the game he got hurt against Boston he only took three and the Orlando Magic game where they were down 40 in the

First half right low minute games this game he was also a low minute game because the Pacers were the team blowing out but you know he has never T taken less than three in a game that was tied for a season low and the Pistons were giving him driving opportunities he took

Advantage of what was in front of him it’s not like he made mistakes by not taking threes that’s just the reality of the situation is that is a season low in attempts and it did work he had an efficient night he played very well this isn’t to criticize what he’s doing he

Just to get out of this will have to be shooting and making threes at some point and I don’t know when that’s going to come but the volume being down was very interesting to me given just the recent state of things for him and how he’s

Been talking about his slump but not a slumping game in this one uh going nine of 13 from the field for 20 and N fantastic the Pacers will win a lot when sakam plus halberton are 29 of uh excuse me are 19 of 28 from the field and dominate the glass and

Dominate passing in the way they did in this game that’s what stars do they continue to look better together that’s something they talked about that’s something the Pacers talked about and the Pacers won as a result uh this game was close right before halftime like a one-point game before the Pacers really

Took off going into the break Ain n Smith was huge in getting the Pacers to separate that score line he was great at the end of the first half his defense all night he was on uh Cade and then or he was on Ivy excuse me and then nart

Spent a lot of time on Cade they both did a really good job by the end of the Floor N SMI though finished with 14 points he made two threes and his Def and his defense was crucial all night but the the timing of his of a significant portion of his points was

Really important in lifting the Pacers to their 10-point lead and they came out in the second half and just destroyed the Pistons the rest of the way Cunningham 23 points on 22 shots excellent defense on him from both of those two young Wings tonight he did

Have 10 assists and I think he started you know I can’t remember his exact percentage he made a bunch of shots early in the game and then missed like 10 in a row ivy 15 points on 13 shots he missed two free throws but they did well

To slow him down he only had three assists that was my key match up if Jaden Ivy gets going then the Pistons have two guys who are threats throughout the night he did not get going and so Cade was really the only guy that put any fear into the Pacers in this game

And he still was inefficient so credit to the Pacers they did well on both those guys n Smith was a big part of that but his baskets in particular were very timely T.J McConnell very good again uh 13 points six assists he did have six turnovers that really crushed

His total Effectiveness some of those were in a garbage garbage time uh but the patri got what they needed from basically everybody and that’s what it’s going to take on this whole road trip is a game where after the game I say something like n Smith you know

Basically this n Smith made timely shots and nard defended his matchup well and Isaiah Jackson had a career game and T.J McConnell ran plays and you know that’s all going to matter their competition’s about to get much tougher the Warriors and Grizzlies just played on ESPN I was

Able to watch into that Warriors playing well and they’re healthy right like that’s a tough game the Lakers Lakers and the Clippers or The Clippers right they need to win at least one of those games if not two to keep themselves on Pace in the standings and they’re

Getting need a game like this one where a lot of guys step up to the plate basically everyone who played filled their role pretty well Turners foul trouble being the lone exception the last note were the onc court thing from this game Doug mcder back in the lineup

16 minutes his first game uh he missed 10 games in a row I didn’t realize how long that had stretched Ed for his calf injury he said it was supposed to be like a two to four week thing uh he said when it happened so back today 16

Minutes is good the second lowest of any bench guy Obi toen played 1450 but he got hurt he was kind of limping during the game I don’t think it’s anything he was in a good mood after the game so I don’t think it’s anything serious or

That will keep him out if any time but mcder back key for the Pacers just to have a shooter back he hit a three in this game he did miss two of them and he was four for six in general he made all three of his two-point attempts on his

Way to 9 point three boards two assists two steals plus 14 he just has a gravity right he just has a presence as a shooter that’s valuable to the Pacers and he’s just and he can make them he hasn’t for the Pacers yet uh but he’s I

Mean his his track record is his track record and they need Shooters given how poorly they’ve shot ball from Deep you know since the All-Star break or since whatever time you think their slump has really started if he could be an offensive weapon for them I think he’ll

Continue to play 16 minutes is a lot uh they had some strange the only reason the minutes are confusing for some of these bench guys is they closed the game with like a jarus walker Kendall Brown Ben Shepard McDermot Isaiah Jackson lineup and then James Johnson came in

There but he actually took mcder out but the minutes are not perfect but he did play in both halves and he had a positive impact so I think this can be good for the Pacers getting a shooter back getting a wing back we’ll see though his threes have to fall right

That’s his thing they’ve got to go in they have it yet uh but like Halton who has a track record of making them and I believe he will make them again Doug mcder has a track record of making them I believe he will make them for the

Pacers he is back we’ll talk more about him as needed along the road trip as he kind of works his way in to what the Pacers have become who a kind of good defensive team seven games now where they are in the top five really of the

Defenses in the NBA allowing 103 in this game after their atrocious start says a lot about where they are defensively and they get it done and they’re in sixth in the East again the Sixers lost to the Suns that’s why I’m recording this when I’m recording this we have to talk about

The standings and I’m going to take a new approach to it this week and then next week we’ll work in the tiebreakers and by then it’ll be April and it’ll be really easy to track this all I hope this has been informative and good and let’s Dive Right into standings watch

Week three now I believe but before we jump into any of that this next segment is brought To Us by our sponsor betterhelp sometimes we only the opportunity to get something off our chest big or small certain things can really start to get to you and it’s important to let that out

Especially to someone who is unbiased on your life so today I want to say how I really feel about something you might even be thinking the exact same thing this day this week or the last time you were driving on the highway my goodness do I hate people not paying attention

And Lane squatting think all the time on the interstate you are driving fast it could be a highspeed collision if you run into someone or get in the way of other people think about who you’re passing and how you’re weaving through traffic instead of just slowly

Meandering and yes I dealt with a person like this today and that is why it is fresh on the brain therapy can be different for everyone most of us have much bigger problems than some traffic patterns on their way to covering a basketball game but it is important to

Get things off your chest every once in a while and that’s where therapy can be important if you have been thinking about starting therapy give better help a try it is entirely online designed to be flexible convenient suited to your schedule visit betterhelp.com lockon MBA to get 10% off your first month that’s

Betterhelp hp.com lockon MBA and we are back here on lockon Pat thanks for making us your first listen today and every single day make Elon Pistons your second listen cah Hill will take you through this game from his perspective and of course a crazy busy news day for the Pistons who lose assar

Thompson for the season who lose Isaiah Stewart for the season who signed uh chimi metu to a 10day uh lots of stuff going on in the land of the Detroit Pistons on top of this game Let’s close out with standings watch as we have been doing every single week and I’m gonna

Take a different approach to it this time like I said we’re gonna dive into the win percentages of the teams relevant to the Pacers what do I consider relevant to the Pacers well two notes to know right now the the Celtics as it stands of course my page decides

To refresh have 55 wins the Pacers Peak wins is 51 they cannot get to one seed the Brooklyn Nets have 26 wins and 43 losses they play the Bucks tonight uh if the Bucks beat the Nets that would be 44 losses for the Brooklyn Nets the Pacers Peak losses is

43 as you see the Pacers are going to be ahead of the Nets once that if the Nets lose tonight they could win the Bucks Run a back toback but if the Nets lose to the Bucs tonight the Pacers will clinch a spot in the playing tournament

And so the only teams that matter and that the magic number for the plane is one so I’m just going to pretend like it matters is seeds two through 10 for the Pacers they are in theory within five and a half uh of two they’re not going

To get that high I’ll explain why in a second and they’re within uh eight of 10 they’re not going to fall that far and I’ll explain why in a second but that’s why we’re going to tailor it into those teams every week and slowly eliminate

Them as we go so let’s look at the win percentage of every team in that 2 through 10 range and see what that win total would be to see if it’s feasible for the Pacers to even think about catching this team or just to identify number in your head when you think about

The Pacers for the rest of the season they need to hit X number of wins to get a playoff seed to host a series whatever as it stands the Bucks uh winning percentage 638 would land them with 52 wins that is literally above what the Pacers can get their Peak is 51 actually

Uh the Bucks are pretty close right probably five six games from now for both teams to clinching the Pacers not being able to catch them uh but I think 52 probably uncatchable for the Pacers and the Cavs are right behind them uh one game behind them in the standings

The Cavs are 43 and 26 that’s 62.3 win percentage which would take uh end with 51 for their final number which is the Pacers Peak number of wins this season again exceedingly hard to catch the all so the Bucks we’re probably not going to talk about it again there’s a chance

Next week it’s not even worth your time the Cavs are injured right they just beat the Pacers maybe this sounds stupid but the Cavs are really injured their schedule is is tough is uh that makes 51 maybe a high projection for them I’m going to provide some of my own opinions

On some of these win projections using these percentages so if the Pacers run hot to close this season and get to the high 40s perhaps they could catch the Cavs and they play the Cavs again if they beat the Cavs they’d get the tie breaker they could also lose and win

That tiebreaker depending on some other factors but either way um significant for the Pacers down the stretch that the Cavs are so banged up and it’s not out of the question it’s I’d put the odds at less than 5% but I’d put the Bucks odds

At less than 1% uh moving on to the actual realistic range here although one of these teams is trying to escape that range the Knicks who have won four in a row with ogj anobi back in the lineup although he’s been out the last couple games but still they’re rolling through

The California trip right now out west uh the Knicks are 41 and 27 that’s a 60.3 win percentage which would get them to 49 if it holds I actually expect they’re going to finish above 49 wins because they’re playing well and they’re getting healthier uh I think they’re

Unattainable to catch for the Pacers because I think they’re going to exceed 49 but uh for the Pacers to reach 49 they have 12 games to go they would have to go 10 and two at worst right like that is how hard it could be to catch

The Knicks on their current win right there absolutely balling uh and their schedule isn’t crazy right they play the Nuggets tonight which is crazy that’s as hard as it gets but after that they have net at home pistons on the road Raptors on the road Spurs on the road right it

Could be as early as five games from now where the knck field just totally impossible to catch for the Indiana Pacers the magic meanwhile are fascinating because they’ve been rolling right that that’s totally fair to say right now they’ve won four in a row they’ve won eight of their last 10 and

They’re 41 and 28 which is a 0.594 win percentage which puts them on Pace for 49 but unlike the Knicks who I expect to win more than 49 I expect the magic to win less than 49 because of their schedule they just went through the easiest stretch of their schedule I kept

Talking about this for them on this show that their mid-march is a lot of home games and a lot of easy opponents in the month of March the the magic have faced the Pistons the I’m going chronologically the Pistons the Hornets the Wizards the Nets the Raptors twice

And the Hornets again most of those games at home they had a road game against Toronto and Charlotte um so that is all done it’s in the rearview mirror their next games are New Orleans Sacramento Golden State Los Angeles Clippers then Memphis and Trailblazers who easier the New Orleans again the

Chicago Milwaukee they’re fighting a lot of teams with seating at stake it’s going to be a lot harder and there’s some actual Road games mixed in there for the magic who yes their next five are at home so I sound stupid saying that but then they’re on the road quite

A bit I don’t think they’re going to get to 49 their schedule’s very tough I think they’re going to finish closer to 48 or 47 which is possible for the Pacers it’s not easy but it’s possible so I expect them to be lower than 49 and

Then there’s a big drop then there’s a big drop Pacers are currently 39 and 31 which projects out to 46 wins I’m going to shrug and say me I it’s harder to predict the Pacers and any other team on this list they beat good teams they lose

To bad teams they know what’s at stake they get to 46 I think that’d be good but maybe not good enough and here’s why the Sixers as it stands right now they just lost to the Suns they’re now in eight they’re 38 31 that’s the same record as the heat that’s a

55.1% win percentage uh that would be 45 wins over the course of the full season I think the Sixers are not going to reach 45 they are not playing well without Joel embiid they cannot they’re they’re really struggling to win unless they play a really crummy team four and

Six in their last 10 games I think the Pacers can hold off the Sixers as I’ve been talking about the heat of the fascinating one the Heat number at 45 I expect them to get above that because of their remaining schedule they just beat the Cavs a very important game for them

Because the they were without bam uh the Heat play their next three toughies Pelicans Cavs Warriors after that they have Blazers Wizards Sixers again Rockets Hawks Raptors twice in their last 10 games right that’s a very favorable schedule I expect them to exceed 45 because of that now the Pacers

Projection based on their win percentage is 46 but they have a lot of home games in there but they’re schedules tough is with based on opponents so to me if you look through this exercise and actually to wrap up really quick the Bulls at their current win percentage their win

Total would be 40 they’re playing better so maybe their number is 41 Pacers are three wins away from exceeding 41 and they play the Bulls one more time the Hawks win percentage number is 36 which the Pacers are already above we’re pretty close to being able to dump the

Hawks from this exercise and the Pacers have the tiebreaker over the Hawks and the Sixers and potentially the heat the key numbers to me is that 46 to4 49 range do the magic get to 49 if not are they in that 46 to 49 range remember the

Pacers Peak wins is 51 so every loss makes it hard for them to get to the high 40s so the number to me to watch out for for the Pacers win total that I’m going to say this is the number I predict is going to be required for the

Six seed is 47 wins that’s what I think it’s going to take to be a playoff not playin team in the Eastern Conference that’s what I think it’s going to take and I think it could come down to tiebreakers which I wrote about this week if if you want to read about them

Pacers have some outstanding as in not finished um some tie Breakers left to go that are not clinched uh and it’s very fascinating to see how it all could shake out for them but their game against Miami could end up being just an absolutely massive changer season type

Of game it’s on Sunday April 7th if they win it they would get the head-to-head tiebreaker over the heat they would of course give the heat a loss they would also clinch the three team tiebreaker with Milwaukee or ex Milwaukee what am I saying with Miami and and Philly which

Is critical to this so big big big big big game for them when they actually play the Heat one to just beat them and two on their quest to get to that 47 range so that is what the win percentages say as it stands since I

Didn’t even say this um the Pacers are three games out of fourth two and a half out of fifth half a game ahead of the seventh and eighth rated heat and Sixers with four games left in their current road trip looking unlikely to get above the magic I think the Knick Cavs and

Bucks have cemented probably the top four looking extremely unlikely to get below eighth the Bulls have won two in a row though so they can’t be rolled out of these discussions just yet but we continue with daning watch and we’ll get to it again next week likely after the

Pacers home game after returning from their road trip we’ll see how the schedule demands it I apologize if my quality of audio did not sound very good I had to record this in a very weird way my Wi-Fi is terrible this is a local recording that I had to set up it’s very

Odd if you’re watching the video feed and you can see my little box looks all different that’s why but I did my best I hope it sounds and looks okay back tomorrow with a guest talking about the Pacers the importance of this road trip the recent play some current players

Doug mcder returning all sorts of key stuff about this team with 12 games to go they’ve played 70 games that’s crazy to me and then of course they play the warriors on Friday we’ll talk a little bit of Warriors tomorrow hope you guys enjoyed Today’s show you can find me on

  1. Looking at the schedule, I think we finish with 46 wins. Idk if that’s good enough for a 6 seed but it will be close. But the most important thing is Hali get it rolling from this point on. Beating the Pistons is good for baby steps.

  2. For those who did not watch – Haliburton/Siakam/Nesmith/TJ were the keys. Jackson was fine, but they would've won without him as well, it was clear.
