[Mo Bamba] Alright, I got time today @patbevpod. I’m a top 5 black-white guy because I can properly articulate how I feel & how I see things?

Context: sometime earlier this week Pat Bev called Mo Bamba one of the top 5 whitest black players

You a smart man, do your research. I’m not a gangsta to any capacity but I’m born & raised from Harlem. I made it off the block & out the trenches.

Secondly, sitting there with your legs crossed like that😂 & asking your white co host to publicly question my blackness is one of the reasons why it’s hard to move the culture forward. @PatBevPod @DrUmarJohnson

Furthermore, If I’m top 5, where do you rank after letting homie talk to you like this? @PatBevPod @DrUmarJohnson

Damn one of those times I have to agree with Mo Bamba

  2. Pat is definitely corny, and he did whitest black guys

Mos a really smart dude. From all the interviews ive watched with him hes really well articulated and everything. Hes also just a really good person i recall him building a basketball court in Senegal i think during his time with us pat bevs just a dick

  4. I listened to this pod and thought this entire segment was bad news.

It wasn’t funny and nothing good was going to come from it.

In high school I used to have a friend who was what people call “white washed”. Wore khakis and button up shirts and loved Lego sets and anime and didn’t talk in AAVE. He got bullied mercilessly for it in our predominantly black school. It’s a major issue in the community

Mamba cooked so hard his white card is unironically revoked

  7. k1ngkoala

Glad he called them out, never liked those kinds of “jokes”

Damn.. Pat Bev didn’t have to say shit. Bamba cooked him

It’s so corny that a lot of black people correlate proper speaking with whiteness. Cringeworthy

My brother hates this shit. He got called Oreo and shit because he grew up with a bunch of midwestern white people. I totally see why this pissed him off

  11. Glad mo responded lol this was personal for patbev he’s been hating on mo for a while.

i saw the segment and ik it was a joke but why are we equating being “well-spoken” with whiteness. that’s weird.

    Get his ass Mo!

As a black man, I knew this would backfire on Bev as soon as I saw that video on blackest-white guys.

People say they want to get rid of racism, but perpetuating conservations like these keeps racism alive.

Used to go to school with mo’s brother and can confirm he is from the trenches.

Pat Bev saying all this off a fucking BARSTOOL podcast platform lmao what a loser

  16. Aside from the context of this post, I am upvoting you because of your reddit etiquette. Providing context *and* providing full quotes for each of the twitter links. Any Twitter post that isn’t in this format should be abolished.

This is one of the few chances to tell this story. I was in college the year Mo got drafted. A girl I was friends with knew him in highschool, and I did not believe her for whatever reason.

She FaceTimed him, and he picked up and chatted with us and a couple other people for a solid 30 minutes lmao.

Regardless, Mo is right here no doubt. Tagging the Doc Umar is hilarious tho.

  18. Bamba ethered him. Imagine getting your immaturity exposed by someone a decade younger than you.

lmao wow i gotta hand it to him, this is a masterful response…tagging dr. umar was an incredible touch 😂

I know culture is 100% getting better but it moves at a snails pace. Its wild to think we’re still touching on the same conversations that like the first season of Fresh Prince was trying to deal with
