Coming off a home loss versus Dallas 113 to 107 Victor he had 12 points and 11 rebounds Vell had 19 points to the loss Kellin Johns had 14 soan chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds Trey Jones had a night 22 points and nine assists injury report Zack Collins is

Uh so good news is the Grizzlies are on a four game losing skid which includes three straight losses on the road so that bows well for San Antonio Memphis has been without John Mor for pretty much the bulk of the season so he won’t have to be a problem for San Antonio and

You know but still you know you still got Desmond Bane you got jiren Jackson Jr on the other end of the there for San Antonio nevertheless Memphis is coming down on a downturn that BS well for San Antonio hopeing the Spurs get an easy win tonight uh also good news for the

Spurs as well Memphis has been outrebounded in four straight games that’ll be great for San Anton to keep that streak going for Memphis uh clear the boards clean them up get those check Second Chance opportunities get out on the break just control the boards and the Spurs should be sitting pretty but

Episodes Zack esia Zach welcome back to lockdown Spurs hey Jeff thanks for having me well I appreciate you being this uh I guess schoras Borg of fan episode today we got you we got another fan coming up next so so um why don’t we just dive into it everybody you know

Zach there’s one thing that fans love about you when you come on lockdown Spurs you tell it as it is and as the season is winding down the team really has nothing to play for really not really but they do have something to play for Zack and that’s the future

Rebuilding getting things set straight for next season Victor wiama second year in the NBA but Zach a big thing that a lot of Spurs fans are wondering if are the Spurs going to make those necessary moves now like this off season Zach let’s get a little bit of the pulse of

The fan base right now do fans expect this team to make major moves slash an overhaul for this roster as we currently see it heading into the off season and into next season will they make the necessary moves to make the best team they can possible well my answer would be

Absolutely and it’s not just about hoping for major moves at this point it’s about expecting them the current state of the team is disappointing you know with lackluster performances and a visibly demoralized franchise player uh frankly it it’s time for a dramatic overhaul Jeff I mean if one player like

Wmi Remains by next season and he’s the only one left standing from this roster I don’t think it would be unreasonable now while such a massive transformation might not be realistic I definitely believe fans should demand the improvements especially by adding some experience veterans to this roster and I believe

That you know failing to do so not only disappoints the paying fans but it’s also going to undermine their star Victor wanyama so I understand the whole it’s important to be patient thing but subjecting wemi and fans to another season surrounded with subpar Talent it’s not fair to anyone so

Fans yeah they they should expect some changes this off season and I really hope this front office gets gets the job done or at least makes an attempt but historically Zach this team doesn’t make major moves I’m talking like Blockbuster slam on the braks you know ESPN interrupting

Broadcast moves you think they’ll make those kind of moves I’m keeping my fingers crossed maybe I’m setting myself up for the Big Hurt and maybe some other fans are as well um but the body language of wemi and being as I mean listen obviously the Spurs have had franchise altering

Players before I.E Tim Duncan David Robinson but in this NBA era and with wanyama being such a unicorn we’ve never seen anything like him before I think it calls for some unprecedented change and it calls for not any organization not just the San Antonio Spur but any organization that has a player like

Victor wanyama you’re going to have to step outside your comfort zone if you’re going to keep your unicorn happy and if you’re going to compete in this modern NBA how much do you think Spurs fans will get their pitchforks and you know fire sticks walk outside if the team runs it

Back I think it’s going to be ugly I think you’ll probably see some season ticket holders that uh will likely decline on picking up their options at least I would if I was a season ticket holder um I I would not pick up my option uh to keep my tickets

Because I just think that would be an insult yeah yeah overall Zach it seems like that’s what fans are expecting to happen so with that expectation are fans also holding on the expectation that perhaps some current fan favorite players could be gone this offseason I think you’re going to have some fans

That are expecting realistically that a quote unquote fan favorite is going to be moved or should be moved in my opinion and I think that’s one of the downfalls of Spurs fans in general now admittedly I I I’m not trying to call out folks because I’ve been in that boat

Before where I was attached to a player and said oh no we can’t trade that guy was it Lucas don’t don’t remind me that was ugly but but looking at the team right now you got Victor wanyama and in my humble opinion and you’ll have some others

Agree with me and some others will vehemently disagree with me but I think he’s the only keeper I mean a guy like Devon vasel he has his moment certainly I think again in my humble opinion he’s a number three guy uh maybe even a number four and he’s getting paid like a

Number one one I just think there’s so much that this team needs right now and it’s just quite frankly a drag to watch some of these games Jeff I will admittedly State here on locked on Spurs that I I check out sometimes after the third quarter I I haven’t watched the

Full game in a minute because I’m I’m just so yeah just disappointed with what I see and listen I I’m not saying I could do better coaching I’m not saying that I could do better as a player let me make that very clear but at the end

Of the day the product that’s on the court right now you do not have to be a basketball excuse me a basketball Sant to see that it sucks uh because it does suck and you know especially again sound like a broken record you have your franchise player out there um not

Getting the ball in certain spots when he’s wide open uh it it’s just frustrating it’s extremely frustrating to watch uh it’s almost like you have a bunch of kids out that are like oh pick me pick me pick me you know I want to be

The guy let me shoot the ball it’s like dude get the ball to your best player let’s not make this more complicated than it should be so again it’s just been I can’t recall a time in my spurs fandom where I’ve been this frustrated with the team and at this point I just

Can’t wait for the offseason Jeff like I cannot wait for us to just you know put this season in the books and move forward have you already called it a day with the season already oh absolutely I mean what down last 13 14 games I mean

At this point you know who gives an ass in my opinion uh if they win some games cool um I’m not expecting much um I mean for me if if Victor can somehow win rookie of the year uh I think that would be one thing for us to hang our hat on

As a fan base hell if he could somehow get some respect and uh be in serious consideration for defensive player of the year I think that would be amazing and I think it would do wonders for Victor’s um self-esteem I I mean again seeing the kid dejected in these games

It’s it’s heartbreaking man you know he was so excited to come here and I I really believe this organization has failed him well seems to me Zach since you are you know taking at least a pulse of the fan base in this topic fans are expecting that will the Spurs do it who

Knows but Zach they got a lot of cash they got players that can flip and they got draft picks they got to use them right yeah yeah right it’s it’s like the old saying smoke them if you got them and right now the Spurs got them and

They cannot be afraid to ruffle feathers they can’t be afraid to trade Devin Vell or Kelvin Johnson or Jeremy soan because because they were in an HB commercial I don’t care yeah uh about that that kind of thing and neither should fans and I know that may be a tough pill to swallow

Because you’re gonna have your guys that have those Kelvin Johnson jerseys those Devon Vel jerseys and they’re gonna say oh but I like that guy he’s a good guy he’s in the community yeah this has nothing to do with the character all of those guys I don’t know them personally

But by all counts they seem like good human beings and that’s great it’s great that they’re awesome human beings and they do things in the community but I would rather have some as the kids say some dogs on my team I want some guys that I don’t need choir Boys on this

Team I I could have some people and and maybe this is me going off the rails but I don’t really care what they do off the court if they’re going to win me some basketball games outside of them being you know murderers or something really crazy like that I don’t really care what

They do with their time as long as they can help the Spurs win games you know um it’s just you know this is part of the rebuild you know they’re going to do some roster evaluation I think Zach they’re doing roster evaluation as we speak you know I think it’s just a these

Last remaining games are just an audition for who’s going to be sticking around next season personally for me outside of wimy obviously the only players that I I I personally would love to see come back uh Vel uh Trey Jones not necess starting role just coming off the bench and uh to

A certain degree soan uh but everybody else in my opinion I think is is fair game the but Zach I think I may have jinxed Kellin Johnson’s time with San Antonio I’ll tell you how so I you know towards the end of deon’s care uh say in

San Antonio I bought a couple of his sneakers and then next day I know he got traded I bought a couple of cin Johnson sneakers I don’t know if that pattern is gonna happen again Zack I may have jinx it Zack so so all you got okay so if you

So why are we here so apparently a few games are going uh well Spurs Warriors San Antonio he makes a trip from Ledo to San Antonio gets really good seats by the way and starts tling going back and forth with Draymond Green uh things got a little bit heated

But eventually uh cooler heads prevailed but it got a little nervous because there was a moment where Draymond says hey come here Danny come on down here uh you just want to set the record say it was just all fun and games no harm no

Foul no harm no foul um In the Heat of the game um myself included sometimes the fans have to be held accountable as well um he was uh being aggressive and heckling the spur players the refs uh you know it got quiet and all of a

Sudden I just it just came out of my mouth I just said I bet you won’t hit me uh and that’s when it all started man all right well he did get a little warning from the from the ushers and they told you basically just to chill

Out right even though you weren’t doing anything wrong yeah I I didn’t use any uh profanities or racial slurs or anything like that it’s just uh they were just just worried that I was rounding up the the the other customers next to me the other fans but it was all

In funny games uh Draymond even saw that they were talking to me he said you know just hey let him be we’re we’re just politicking that was his word uh you know basically it got heated but you know cooler heads prevailed like you said did you get nervous when he asked

You to come down no actually it was just you know uh it was all in a split second uh he turned around real quick he knew where to look who who who said what and he just said hey you know what if you got Jordan Jordan pulls back come down

Here wow all right well again he did not get kicked out everything was fine and everything as matter of fact you tried to get a hold of drma didn’t you yeah I I went ahead and um I I messaged him on Instagram uh it’s just apologizing for

The interaction like I like we mentioned he didn’t say any profanities he didn’t he didn’t do anything none of that we were just you know back and forth it was you know clean trash talk but you know I wanted to just apologize and hey you

Of it today uh from a parent that say Hey you know what you’re famous I’m like what so they just they just told me about it I looked at the video and you know it it it happened it happened you know nothing was nothing bad came out of

It which is good uh but again you know the fans sometimes got to be held accountable for what they say even though I didn’t disrespect them or you do anything wrong for that matter but still sometimes you just got to chill enjoy the game and know when to not
