Carmen takes credit for teaching Gradey how to play around the rim.
“That’s kind of Gradey’s special shot, his three,” Carmen said, “so that would be the big difference between us.
“Otherwise, I taught him some of the moves he can do inside.”

Gradey has repeatedly talked about how his mom taught him how to shoot. As I recall his dad played too, but his mom was the one who really got involved and taught him what he knows. It’s a nice story.
