The Celtics have won nine consecutive games…with 8 different starting lineups.

The magic number to clinch the East top seed is 1.

The magic number to clinch homecourt throughout the playoffs is 6.

One of those numbers will drop tomorrow – OKC at Milwaukee.

I want the playoffs, like I’ve said this Cs team is different

I feel like I will be reposting this for anyone asking why we don’t clinch because I was the dummy who initially thought the Celtics could clinch with a win tonight.

I think I figured it out. “Playoff eligible” is the top 6. If the top 6 was the Celtics, Bucks, Cavs, Magic, 76ers and Hawks, Celtics could be 11-7 against those teams, Bucks would be 12-6. Technically this scenario is still possible.

I thought playoff eligible tiebreaker was top 10, and couldn’t figure out the scenario where the Celtics lose that

1 more Celtics win or 1 more Bucks loss makes them unable to tie and Celtics outright clinch based on overall record, which Grande stated here.

  3. Hopefully they have an update on Jrue next week. Have two games in Atlanta so they’ll have some down time during the week

I don’t even get the idea they’re killing themselves to win these games. They’re just winning with their B-teams.

Bring on the heat. I want the toughest road. Give me the heat, the bucks, whoever else in the east and then the nuggets. If they go all through that and win the title, they have a legit claim to be considered the greatest Celtics team of all-time.
