Bar tonight was the only the second time in league history since starters were tracked since 19771 that you guys started a lineup of five rookies how do you think the rookie group did tonight excellent um yeah I think we went out there competed everything we needed um
We we made up uh with our effort with uh for the for the lack of experience that we had and I think we did everything we needed to do coach came in here he said we lost on our terms and I think that was a that’s a really good team so
Yeah you guys went toe-to-toe with the defending champs I mean I know they were down a couple of players but it’s still a deep team really talented roster what did you make of that what can you take from tonight’s game as you guys head out
On the road um yeah we could hold our heads high with that uh we could be very optimistic um not just for the current situation but for the future we have some talented guys we have guys with the right mindset um and it just gives us nothing but but confidence and and joy
To to know that we have a great young core what did you think of the game yesterday against Florida um man I thought I thought our guys played really well I thought it was it was an exciting game it was 102 to 100 so you don’t see that too often in
College so I’m excited to see what we do against Marquette all what have you seen from you know some of these guys that have had time with in the G league and you know coming up here what have you seen from those guys you know taking that
Experience bringing it up here yeah you can see it um you can see in guys eyes um they’re getting more aggressive they’re getting stronger um they’re getting more comfortable confident and it’s a trend I’m seeing like later on in the year you just start to see guys kind
Of blossom into to who they are and um you can see them filling the roles have you given much thought to this upcoming trip 15 days late in the season yeah I’ve been thinking about this for a minute um I think this is the longest road trip probably I’ve been on so far
Like the toughest part to me is packing so I still got to pack tonight but in terms of I mean you all feel gas at this point in the year and is there any I mean you’re a competitor but any dread at all thinking about
Being gone that long um I wouldn’t say I dread it but I’m excited for the opportunity to get better at taking care of my body on the road like I was kind of looking forward to it I was like okay let’s see how my body responds to this
Road trip cuz towards the end of the last one I start to get tired so I just want to see if I could overcome it and see if I could um become better in that aspect as my career goes on
