Season High 19 rebounds season High eight offensive boards just um and doc said he’s like look you Bobby Brooke get in the paint you know kind of F that middle there just how how big was that for you in particular kind of crashy offensive glass and and Rebound

In General on a night like tonight I was just trying to play hard um trying to compete kind of get my my rhythm going that’s what I usually do in the past you know um and you know Chris was back Dan was back and I had the ball

Majority of the time you know a lot of shots was going up so I just you know triy to do some and do something else for once uh go for every rebound and you know I was able to get some create some uh second position for the team uh it

Was a good day how many I got six uh eight offensive I believe 19 total um so it was you know it was a good day hopefully uh we keep it up um how did what kind of tone do you think that that though because I think the first play

Was Brooke rolling to the to the rim and Chris finding him and I think you know Bobby had a chance at a at a lob as well to just kind of Pound The Rim like that with the three of you to maybe take advantage of of their lack of size uh

You we KN we knew the they had a lot of bigs out there and um we know we’ be able to get some offensive rebounds we know we’ll be able to find the rols um we knew we were going to be able to post up and uh you know make

Something happen from the post you know because they’re going to come double team majority of the time by me or even Brook um and I think we just played the game uh obviously we could be better but we played the game the right way um but

Starting the game I think our effort was really really high I think this was one of the first nights that there there was multiple drive and kicks multiple times that guys got in the paint and uh people were recovering from one another you know I think it was one of the best that

We’ve done all season long and we we got to keep it up you know this that’s a team that they’re going to keep playing they’re going to move it side to side they’re going to keep on driving and kick they try to get in the paint try to

Find the open three but I think guys were just moving today um it was a good defensive day I think uh bigs were uh doing their job they were Rim running Bobby was like Bobby Sprint I think the third quarter in the fourth quarter I don’t remember

Like all the way down for the for the dunk and then for the layup you know Brook was sealing guys in the paint was trying to set picking rolls and roll just make it easy for Dam and Chris and uh I think it was just a good overall

Day for the team defensively and offensively the ball was hopping um and hopefully we can keep it up this is the first time I think more than a month that you uh Dame Chris all on the floor together and even just having your whole starting F together

How much uh were you looking forward to that and just how’ you feel you guys play connectively together get on Florida I’ll say with playing with Chris season you know we cannot play for three months and you know get on the court and uh figure things out um he just I think

Like the rhythm of the team was good obviously um the ball was moving defensively were good you know I think it’s just going to come down in on when each you know each D creis you know we have the ball more of the time most of

The time you know what I’m saying so when we get the rebound we got to be basketball players you know um this cannot be times that it’s Dame time or Chris time or my time like we just got to keep playing within the flow of the

Offense and I think that’s what we did tonight um and just Chris being back and Dam be on the floor and me on the floor and Brooke and Bob and everybody that’s healthy and the back on the floor it just compliments the whole team like we are full strength right now uh hopefully

We can build good habits in the next 20 days 25 days that we have left and play good basketball wi the mothers the most the way these last several weeks went where guys were key guys were missing how did that help the team grow what you

What you kind of learn from these last several weeks having to play at less than full strength for so long just I think um you get this appreciation for your teammates you know like games that Dame is not playing you know uh makes the game harder for me you

Know times that chis not playing makes the game harder for Dame and Chris Dame and Me and Bobby like just having everybody together I think it just makes the game easier for everybody you know we don’t have to force anything uh we just keep on playing good basketball keep on moving the ball

There’s going to be some nights that going to be my night there’s going to be some night that’s going to be Chris night there’s going to be some night that’s going to be Dame night you know uh but we don’t have to force anything you know everybody out there is a threat

I think our um our bench is unbelievable um and we keep they keep on getting better uh so I think I just grow this feel this appreciation feeling of you know having everybody uh you know healthy and available to play you know because when we when we’re not uh

Healthy I think like you know sometimes we play well sometimes we don’t sometimes we you know create this excuse in our in our mind that like okay when he gets back we’re going to be better but now we all here there’s no more excuses we got to keep on playing good

Basketball and uh hopefully we can be good going off of that there seems to be like a real sense of Brotherhood where is that coming from do you think right now I think um I think I think we’ve seen it all throughout the whole year

We’ve seen a lot of things a lot of changes a lot of ups and downs a lot of um injuries um so we just we just happy that we’re here I think through everything that we’ve um faced we still able to you know keep our you know um

Our spirit High and um even when I don’t play even when chis don’t play even when they don’t play the team goes out there to and try to win games and that’s all you can ask for and right now we are all healthy and we we need to stay healthy and that’s

The most important thing I think for this team and everything else is in in our hands do had mentioned the physicality on defense being at a high level tonight just how important is physicality when you guys are stretching it’s important you know like

Um be able to be able to put your guy a little bit without fing obviously and uh put your hands on him kind of slows down the the slips you know or the pops and allows the defender to have a second or two to get up on the ball um you can

Switch but you don’t switch with physicality it’s it’s lazy defense you know so physicality is big part of our switching defense um how excited do you get when you see Malik dve for a ball like that and and start a fast break I’m I’m very excited and um this is what the

This is what we need to do this is the way we need to compete um I think the play finish with an N one but it’s not how the play finish how the play started you know Malik CH the ball then he Dove for the ball got the ball

Throw it to Brooke Brook throw it I think to Dame D throw it to me got a M1 but you know all that started from Malik U effort and um it’s big it’s big when you have a guy like that that plays hard every single night guard’s the best player every

Single night you know uh makes shots every single night and also diving for the ball so so it’s big we need that I don’t know how you oh sorry I don’t know how you feel about the MVP race but what about six-man for Bobby because you had

Mentioned the bench and all that and he’s actually come off the bench basically all year very little starts is he I’ll say I’ll say for me Bobby we’ve played together for the last 8 9 10 11 played together four years now I think every single year he’s been the sixthman

Of the year you know um hands down last year I thought he should have got it but this year he’s having even better year so he definitely should be considered yianis obviously OKC is a team that you know has thrived despite you know maybe lack in size compared to

Other teams around the League this year and they’ve I mean it’s not just as simple as maybe being bigger than them because they’ve Offset you know lineups maybe close to yours where you have a bigger lineup just what were the keys and trying to limit them and would you

Try to exploit especially in that that third quarter can you can you can you ask me that again yeah just obviously OKC’s been one of those teams that despite a lack of size they’ve they’ve ran figure out to win games yeah and so just what you try to exploit with them

Because obviously you know being bigger hasn’t really much to them you know sometimes being bigger and where the ball bounce it’s it matters I think the today the ball bounces are you know you know in our favor you know um there’s going to be times that the ball doesn’t

Bounce in our favor you know obviously the they move the ball real fast everybody’s aggressive everybody can take off the dribble they love to drive and kick and sometimes being big that doesn’t mean that you going to win the game sometimes being big is almost being in disadvantage because all of them love

To get in the paint and create open threes for one another they have a guy that is having an MVP year that can take anybody of the dribble you know so at the end of the day I feel like we did a good job just having that

Extra effort you know um covering for one another being a little bit more physical you know if you don’t if you don’t do that you can you cannot beat them like you have to be on your age Daddy hey game yes baby you know what I’m saying

So I don’t see you know yes baby I understand why they’re the number one team number one number two now is in the car baby um the number one team in the west two team in the west because they move the board they play fast and every single

Night if you don’t your A game against them I don’t see you winning and you you mentioned sh just his his total tonight 12 points is the the second lowest he’s had allason just over the keys and him I think we just showed a lot of help

Lot of you know we knew that he’s the head of the snake knew that he would want to you know take people off the dribble and could make something happen especially in the third quarter but we just showed a lot of bodies in him and

Made the game tough for him and he’s at the end of the day like you see guys that average 30 35 but he’s also a willing passer you know so that kind of helps you sometimes because he’s going to try to make the right play he’s not going to

Force it so um just showing bodies making t for him that’s why we’re able to you know um keep him to what 14 16 whatever 12
