Spurs Floor Spacing IS BAD! Roster Needs SHOOTERS!

Spurs Floor Spacing IS BAD! Roster Needs SHOOTERS!

Wow that is a lot of space between Jeremy Sohan and the Defenders for the Suns you could park a car in their Spurs fans heck you might even be able to park a Tank what is up San Antonio Spurs fans welcome to TSR Sports I caught an article from pounding the rock that I want to share with you about what was happening the Suns game and we’ve seen it happen in previous games with the Houston Rockets where Defenders were just

Swarming you know wemy and just leaning you know let’s just show the play Let’s pictures work a thousand words videos even better here’s the play when me with the ball starts Drive get it out the SE in and nobody cares that he’s therey like whatever he missed it nobody cares

Drop a comment down below when you see floor spacing like this when you see the opposing team leave soan Wesley champeny Jones whoever may be this freaking open does it drive you nuts and what can we do to fix this we obviously need to fix this in the offseason immediately

Because this cannot happen next season cuz this is indeed b a bad hit the thumbs up you like for channel subscribe for more Spurs content if I don’t if I already said that if I said it twice I’m sorry anyway let’s get into the article from pounding the rock Phoenix had a

Clear defensive play for San Antonio they put starting center Yousef nurkic on Jeremy soan or another non-shooter like Blake Wesley or Malachi brandham and doubled wemy hard in the paint When de Mel tried to shake loose off screens he was met with immediate double team too the game plan against the Spurs has

Become clear make anyone but wemy and Vel beat you saw the rocket employ it we see the Suns employ it we’ve seen other teams kind of dabble there and I think that’s what teams are going to do for the rest of the season and definitely next season if our

Three-point shooting does not improve now Jeremy s’s getting a lot of the brunt of the blame here seeing stuff like this certainly does help uh influence that negativity and his three-point shooting for being honest has not been good if you look at his splits through the season Spurs fans he

Actually started off awesome 47% in November 33% in December 38% in January and then he has fallen off a cliff sense shooting 19% in February and 23% in March that being said Germany’s not the only one who’s struggling with the three ball this season as we pull up the team

The 10 players that the most playing time for this roster this is their overall three-point shooting percentage for the season jery at a not good 32% chedy Osman at a respectable 37 kelman just below 35% Trey Jones has actually increased his three-point shooting to about 34% Maly sitting at 33 devons our

Best three-point shooter at just under 38% wemy is shooting 32% from three shamp Penny Shooting 36% he’s supposed to be our three and D guy well he’s bringing some D here and there but he’s certain not bringing the three Zack Collins shooting a terrible 31% and Blake Wesley shooting an atrocious

18% this is our 10-man rotation this is what we got right now somebody said this in a live chat once and I don’t know if it’s accurate but they said we are currently the worst three-point shooting team in the NBA I don’t know if that’s accurate but looking at these stats this

Ain’t good and well I don’t like the three ball I don’t like the facts that teams are chucking the three ball left and right we’re seeing fast breaks where players running up the court and instead of just continuing the fast break stops pops and blows the three usually if it’s

Our team but this is today’s NBA chucking threes it is what it is and we need three-point shooting I know a lot of people want Trey young he’s a high volume but not a great shooting percentage three-point shooter maybe a player like wheny on the team will help

That don’t know zachar Ras is a name I’m seen come up a lot for a possible draft pick by the firsts he’s a three-point sniper um dude from Kentucky um re Shepard didn’t need shoot like 50% from three we don’t need some milk we need

Some three and this is just I wanted to show this to you because one you know point out that yes Jeremy so in is a part of the problem but he’s not just the only problem at this point Spurs fans is there anybody here out of our 10

That you rudely care scores besides wemy and Basel I like Kellen he’s only shooting 45% from the field he’s been settling for a lot of threes lately and he’s been inconsistent and that’s actually one thing I can say about most of our roster with three-point shooting

It is incredibly inconsistent if I was a coach for the other team game planing into Spurs I’d be like wheny has the ball do do this do this right here put everybody down in the paint and just leave whoever open I as a head coach we totally find leaving soan open Jones

Brandom Wesley Collins I mean that’s just way too many Johnson even at this point that’s way too many guys to be okay with leaving open beyond the arc we as first fans see our guys our our per defense leave the opposing team open all the time Unfortunately they hit their

Shots quite often whereas I our guys are just constantly breaking threes yes we’ve had some good games where we’ve nailed a lot of Threes but this just this can’t continue this is bad and I hate pointing out bad stuff but watching that game live I remember watching that

Play which is why I clipped that plane I was like whoa they are leaving jery wide open like wide open like this is ridiculous the amount of spacing he has right now and that continued throughout the game the Spurs did not play well and lost against the Suns which I think we kind

Of expected the Suns playoff team had their big three Beal they had Booker they had Durant everybody’s ready to go we’re a young and rebuilding team so I expected us to lose I was hoping we didn’t lose bad but it is what it is AAS

Going we need fixed a lot we we need we need floor spacing we we need three-point shooting we need more defense we need a lot luckily we have a ton of draft picks so hopefully the front office can put put it together and start building a competitive a more

Competitive team next year and then eventually playoff team maybe in year three I know some want playoff team year two I’m going to be kind of you know lower the bar a little bit you know maybe a playin team next year and then a playoff a perennial playoff team after

That and of Cora tender hopefully in year four or five or six somewhere in that time frame certainly sooner than later I want to close with this first fans I did see that Wy might be out with a spraying ankle I don’t have the current injury report but I did see he’s

Got a left spraying ankle if he misses tonight’s game and he going to be out for some time I’ll probably do another video on that and that is a concern I know some people like oh you’re putting Wy injured clickbait and no big deal

This is a big deal the legs are the part of the the legs are the things that have ended a lot of tall men’s careers early knee injuries ankle injuries just reoccurring injuries and that’s my concern with Wy right now Spurs fans is reoccurring injuries to the same Parts

Two Spring right ankles now a left spring ankle he 74 his legs are very thin hopefully this is just one of those growing pain things and he’s going to bulk up a little bit in the offseason continue to grow into his body where in year two or year three he’s no longer

Injury-prone we’ve seen a lot of players that struggle with injuries earlier in the career the first one that comes to mind is in the NFL Matt Stafford Scher blew out I think his first two years and then end up being really I don’t think he had an issue with that for the to

This point in his career so so things can be corrected but something to keep an eye on I’m wishing the best for Wy hopefully this is nothing serious the Spurs could also be being precautious and quite honestly they could also be like we don’t really want to win any

More games maybe it’s time to start shutting Wy down hey hey could happen it could happen you might be just you know might be might be parking that tank right in that big space that the the sun’s left for us that’s all I got I’ll be live tonight for the Suns and Spurs

At 8:00 P.M Eastern hopefully we show better than we did on Saturday night I appreciate all for watching hopefully you have a good Monday thank you and as always ghost fors Go to

Spurs need some 3 point shooting!

  1. Can we get Lance Stephenson, he's under the radar… Just had a triple double sure there's no D in the G League but he could clear that space, that's big enough for the Battle of flowers parade to go through and this is no time to be celebrating 🌮🍻😢🛶🎉🛶

  2. The Spurs need a good facilitator who’s 40% beyond the arc + a good 3&D wing who has the potential to be on the defensive team.Even with that they are still not a contender yet, they need several good role players like OKC,New Orleans,or Minnesota have.

That’s why they shouldn’t settle with “Just getting an all-star to pair with Wemby”,the team is full with holes right now
which cannot be fixed in a couple of seasons.
Check out the real staring 5 of a contender,Denver got Jokic,Murray,KCP,MPJ,and Gordon. The Celtics got Holiday,D.White,JB,Tatum, and Porzingis. That’s say even if we do get Trae Young, the roster is not formidable in anyway…
Currently we only have 2 of the starting 5 ,even Devin is a bit debatable.

  3. Bu..Bu..Buutt I don't care if Reed Sheppard is an excellent 3 point shooter. He is unathletic and has a 4 ft wingspan…

  4. Ricky Lombardo, Ron Jambo and TSR can provide great floor spacing for San Antonio Spurs as I heard they can play basketball and help out Wemby

  5. Trade Devonte Graham and Zach Collins for shooters what do you all think about that idea it doesn’t have to be for Trae Young but someone like Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard who I can see San Antonio Spurs paying in free agency

  6. Yes Spurs are the worst 3 point shooting team in the NBA this season at 34.6% and have shot 27.3% in their last 3 games as I found this info according to team rankings website

  7. What the SPURS use to do was target certain players they had acquired on the team and train them to suit an isolated task on the team. Sochan needs to be putting up 1000 3's multiple times a week during and after practice. This was done with Bowen, and Kawhi. Kawhi just went beyond anything expected.

I like Sochan, and players usually don't become what they will until year 4-5. He's progressing nicely but I do think they're coddling the development and his coaching is failing him. Being too nice to him…demand improvement in this area, challenge your lottery pick.

  8. Wemby has been playing 1-on-5 for a couple of months now. He’s the only reliable scorer on the team, everyone else is accidental.
We’ve got 9 other guys who can score IF they can score.
A player like Trae Young would make us immediately better.

  9. Cedi looks to be gone out of the lineup. Best bet to say he's out of here. His inconsistencies got worse as the season progressed. Wish him well wherever he lands.

  10. Again I'll ask the pertinent question

If all the other NBA coaches had our roster would they all be sub 20 win teams?

Pops record post Leonard speaks for itself. We have been incrementally worse every year going from playoff to play in to just missing the playoffs to being the worst in the league.
Pop has made it ok to be a loser in San Antonio and you can see it in all the players, except for Wemby.

San Antonio's wise moves for the offseason would be to part ways with Pop and make an all time tempting offer for a younger hungrier coach that will know how to use Wemby. With all the cap space and draft picks that we have lined up acting conservatively is not an option.

  11. I've been saying this for awhile. Meanwhile Mamu who can shoot never see the floor. Make it make sense

  12. Sochan provides a lot of defensive which cannot show when others cannot hit. The Spurs will rid themselves of three if not possibly five players by start of next season. Names? (Graham, Chamagne, Osman, Collins, [Wesley or Branham]). If Collins is not traded then Mamukelashvili or Bassey.

The Spurs will not do any senseless trades (Tre Young – no defense), but they are not going to go with this bunch next season. Wemby can make a big leap next year. The Spurs will not squander that.

I saw an article for trading for Jazz Markenan. That would be a sensible trade.

No one can predict the future, but one thing I know is the bunch in anywhere whole will NOT be back

  13. I just don’t understand why the Spurs spend a top 10 pick in Sochan. I guess they thought they were smarter than everyone and thought they could fix his shooting and shooting stroke. He has that hitch when shooting and his mid range is none existent! He doesn’t have good court vision or high IQ on the court, defense has deep drastically this year. Last year his defense looked promising. His still young but if his going to remain in the starting lineup the Spurs are going to have to elite shooters at other positions to mask his short comings. So he can focus mainly on defense! Brian Wright is such a good GM at drafting!!🤦🏻‍♂️ Also a little concerning about all this sprained ankle’s Vic been having lately.. This is like the 3rd or fourth this year…

  14. Yup. It'll be fun to see how Spurs respond to this disrespect tonight. Saw a video the other day by a guy saying that Victor is ready to be great next season and the Spurs need to acquire some highly skilled and experienced players to put around him. None of this "not skipping steps" and grow organically from the draft stuff. Gotta say, he made a good case and I find myself agreeing that if we don't at least go well into the playoffs next year we are wasting Wemby's talents. We need good shooters. We need a couple of seasoned vets of all-star caliber. We need a top-drawer point guard. I'm OK with drafting maybe one missing piece (say, a shooter), but I think the point guard should be a vet and then at least one more star-level vet. And by vet I mean age 28 or younger so they can stay with the team for 7 or 8 years.

  15. Team age issue…..Spurs the youngest in the league at 23.5, OKC is next youngest at 23.8…so why aren't they as bad as the Spurs? The issue is the PLAYERS are bad, regardless of age and coaching can be a major issue as well. PLEASE stop giving the team the EXCUSE to be bad just because they are young. Wemby and Vassell are the only players who are good, the rest of the entire team would be bench warmers on good teams. Draft picks! Draft picks! Draft picks!…and why did the Spurs SELL 2 of the most recent 3 second rounders (the last 2 drafts) ? My answer to that question is bad management. It is well established that players taken in the second round have the exact same chance of becoming quality NBA players as players taken in the back half of the first round. Selling those picks is tantamount to incompetence when the team desperately needs depth as well as starters.

  16. Obviously I can’t hit a three – but seems like DeRozan got that lack of respect and would use that space to drive in and draw a foul.

  17. Proud of Tre though. You can tell he’s been working on his 3s ever since missing that game winner earlier in season 👏

  18. Rich brother, we are bad. I feel for people like us who watch almost every game and we have our golden hearts on our sleeves. There were games I wanted to throw my phone through the tv, but our problem is most of our starting 5 players are future role players EXCEPT for Wemby who is a STAR, but he cannot do it all unfortunately and he does have off moments, but not as bad as the second best player in Vassell. I don’t know, personally Vassell to me is overrated but I could be wrong. I have seen many games where Vassell has been given the ball for clutch plays, I would rather give the clutch winners to Trae Jones to be perfectly honest. Vassell does put up numbers, but there are games he’s shot 1 of 8 beyond the arch. Not saying he’s the only problem but when Johnson is cold, he’s freezing aswell. Sochan I think he’s frustrated to be honest. I just wished Pop could be more flexible with our bench that hadn’t had much playing time like Graham, Mamu or Cissoko, we have been wanting these men to play. I like Wesley and Barlow, they see good glimpses and plenty of room to grow in their game.
