It looks like on 2 occasions, he left the game early and finished under his betting stats. Both nights, it is reported from DraftKings that his prop bets were the biggest moneymakers.
Sounds a bit suspicious to me.
If I had a nickel for every time an Ontario-based athlete’s gotten in trouble for betting, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice, right?

When people are winning too much money from 3rd party betting sites betting against a guy who probably shouldn’t see the court they’ll pull the guy from his team. But when there is statistically very clearly a problem with their reffing nothing changes and those refs still get the big games. Priorities I guess, can’t have people making money and an advertising partner losing a little bit.

Not to prejudge, but this is exactly the sort of player you’d be most worried about being compromised by the NBA’s (and other leagues’) embrace of gambling.
For a starting player making eight figures, it would be pretty hard to justify to yourself taking that kind of risk. If you’re a fringe player who may have only a brief time playing meaningful minutes, the temptation is a little more obvious.
