And it was awesome and that’s the finale for the Lakers and Clippers when it comes to a Clippers home game at crypto.com Arena what a game what a game take it B I’m exhausted I’m exhausted for watching man you you talking about an epic comeback and and a game like this

That can catapult the Lakers to the next level going into these last 22 games of the Season man you got to take your hats off to him and LeBron James I I hope you didn’t char charge your teammates for the ride you just gave them on your

Back for that that fourth quarter cuz you put on a a show I mean the display of shots you hit and just continue to just uh take advantage of the situation of the the screens and the uh the switches that the Clippers were doing and LeBron just ate their butts up man

You got man I was sitting back there just shaking my head like oh and and jumping up and down and going around I’m I’m like you club I’m exhausted watching this game the conference room we had it going man we had we we had going it got

A little intense here the last few minutes I give it up for my crew in here uh we got some help with the Wi-Fi everything got settled but it was very a lot of lot of lot of panic going down here in the final home game for the

Clippers in the regular season at crypto.com Arena against the Lakers Lakers win the season series 3 to one I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that the Lakers through three quarters guys were struggling um 15 turnovers turned into 13 points combined three-point line and free throws guys the Lakers were getting outscored 38

To19 they were down 19 but the fourth quarter changed everything Clippers are a good team well coast and sometimes throughout a a 48 minute game it takes you know it takes time to figure things out I mean I thought their defense was pretty good in

The first they were doing a good job on ad got him in foul trouble then they were getting a lot of offensive rebounds but then the Lakers seemed to keep you know chatting away at it and then they started to hit their threes and the defense picked up and so that’s why it’s

A 48 manye game but uh the the Clippers aren’t going to sleep well tonight uh with giving up that they’re too good to to lose a game like that but the Lakers are good enough to come back so it’s a good game good win third quarter I wrote

This down because I thought that’s where the Lakers let the game get away they got it to nine they were on that run and Austin had a wide open three missed it they go down score ad D shoots a three misses they come down hit a three and

Big game just like that it’s a 10-1 run right Byron and and and then Norman hits that shot later in the quarter to end it down 19 and you kind of went into coach mode when that fourth quarter started you said just go on a run to start this

Quarter get back into it and the Lakers at the beginning of that fourth quarter with LeBron and that group in there right it was cam it was TP it was DLo was Jackson Hayes and it was LeBron got to give that group a lot of credit they were getting stops they were getting

Steals and LeBron was hitting threes yeah and I think it always for me it goes back to you know CL just said it about them hitting the threes but it still goes back to me in that that fourth quarter of getting stops and steals you know the Clippers shoot 41%

Rebs in that in that quarter they don’t get a bunch of Second Chance points in that quarter and what does that do it it ignites the offensive end you start getting stops you go down on the other end the basket gets bigger LeBron started knocking him down and he got

Other guys involved later on in the game but again I’ve always I’ve always go back to when that fourth quarter started you know you’re down 19 boom you give up a quick two you’re down 21 and you decide look man we got to shut these

Guys down let’s see if we can get four stops in a row and let’s go from there and we said this get when we was in there I said get it these first five minutes you did say that of this fourth fourth quarter we’ll see what happens if

We can get this thing down I was pouting at the time yeah you were G was throwing his pen he the M&M followed me I was mad at you for that we and I was sitting I said get it the first five minutes if we

Can get this 19point lead down to 12 11 now we got a game and sure enough that’s exactly what they did I’ll tell you what guys we as in Laker fans uh growing up here and stuff we had the showtime Lakers we’ve been able to watch vintage performances throughout my lifetime from

Your guys’ group Sha and Kobe pow and Kobe um LeBron we’ve just been really fortunate tonight was again one of those nights and we’ve seen it for six years there’s just certain games that separate guys and that the elite of the elite and the greatest to ever play have these

Kinds of moments and games I felt like LeBron had it tonight I I really feel watching that game I was like this is truly incredible what he’s doing had 19 in the fourth but game he had a season High seven threes he had five threes in the fourth quarter and was making the

Right plays had a couple key assists when they would double him it it was truly a master class that’s what he does yeah you know uh and he’s done it for 20 years yeah it’s 21 years he’s not lying and you know for LeBron you know he just figured

It out that look this is this is a big game you know what it’s just great to watch him play and I i’ I’ve been a big uh Lebron James fan for a long time but I’ve never been the one that said nah he’s he’s he’s the greatest or even

Close to the greatest I’ve always had Kareem and MJ up there you know as as the two greatest players ever and the more I keep watching him I’m going man you got to talk about him in that conversation of the greatest of all time you know and and and you can’t go wrong

To me with with with none of those three guys that I just it’s different errors which is hard to even judge when you talk about the greatest of all time but but the one thing all those guys have in common is their basketball IQs when

Games are on the line and they need to do something special all those guys have been able to take their game to a different level and LeBron James at at this stage of his career is the most amazing thing that I’ve ever seen of a basketball player on the basketball

Court and and that’s you just hit it you know when MJ would came back after taking two years off you know it was at Washington it wasn’t no impact like this Kareem in 19 18 years we remember rals was asking us to do more offensively you

Know right but at 21 years he’s he’s doing he’s doing things that a fifth year six or seventh year player is doing and that’s to me and he’s quick and he’s strong he’s dunking on people and he’s bouncing and I remember IM media day my number one question was was 21 he do

Something for he do something and he’s doing something for me in 21st year man he doing yeah he’s at that go table eating dinner with all of them Kobe doubt Kobe MJ they’re all out the table sharing the F without a doubt let’s hear from Darin

Ham he’s speaking with Mike in the media Darin just for starters that fourth quarter in Lebron specifically how did that happen in and what were your observations of how LeBron got it done man you know after a tough first half we just uh talked about at halftime pointed

Out some things on our film and just talked about being aggressive and active you know giving resistance not not allowing them to just go and do whatever they wanted to do on the basketball floor so we came out fought through a third quarter tough third quarter and

That uh just told him everybody you know up and down our roster that played did a great job teammates everybody commun communicating on the sidelines and but that group that started the fourth quarter you know DLo cam TP Brun Jackson really set set a hell of a tone with

Their activity their aggressiveness um in that fourth so man hats off to the Clippers you know they’re hell of a ball Club you know they they so much fir power and extremely well coached tou and his staff but uh we needed one of these we needed to dig deep especially after a

Good work day yesterday uh we got a chance to get on the floor get in the film room do some individual and combo stuff early before practice uh and it was great carryover to today LeBron hit four threes in the first I think 5 minutes of the fourth quarter and it

Seemed like a lot of them were out of that similar action and getting a big called up can you just describe exactly what was going on in those possessions and and how LeBron was able to deliver it’s like an action we call Point rub is basically targeting the weakest defender

Or targeting where we can get it we feel like we can get an advantage and he just caught fire and I told him you know in between quarters that we got to get up threes you know we got to score the ball if you open from three be aggressive

From the three-point line and he did just that you know he set the tone in that that regard as well uh but thank God he’s on our team Darin when LeBron goes on a tear like that what is it like behind the scenes on the bench like does anybody

Talk to him are there words spoken what what’s it like man everybody just pushing him on cheering them on you know he uh had the tape the the cape tucked under his seat on the bench I guess it was time for him to whip it out and uh

He he definitely did that put the cape on um and just got aggressive and got in a good Rhythm he’s been shooting the ball you know extremely well this whole entire season and that was just another case of it you know once he got in Rhythm and you know with his playmaking

Skills he sets the tone with his three with his shooting and and and going downhill but then once they start scheming and trying to hit double team late he was able to pick him pick him apart with the pass and that’s just who he is Darin uh you just said you guys

Needed this one and and early fourth quarter it looks like you’re about to start one and three after the All-Star break but but winning this game uh in the fashion that you did what what do you feel like this can do for this group moving forward as you guys now have this

Home stand coming up I mean it just showed a lot of character and resilience you know it was a tough being down to 21 at one point um just being able to fight through that uh everybody Banning together we didn’t fragment we we we drew in closer together took a good look

At ourselves at halftime again it was a tough third quarter um but even still just continued to fight as long as it’s time left on the clock uh we have to fight and we knew time was pressing with another game to play tomorrow night so

It was great and and again you know we got a chance to work yesterday um individually combos before the practice get on the practice floor work on some activity things some things that I saw you know live and and upfront tonight that we had worked on yesterday and

Watched and film after our practice yesterday so it’s great carryover game but tonight means nothing if we don’t come out and take care of business tomorrow night you mentioned your previous answer that LeBron starts to pick them apart with the pass once they start sending doubles just how good was

It to see especially DLo and ruy you know make some of those plays down the streets to really uh I guess further that Gap yeah just it was it was reminiscent of of of what they did in the postseason last year you know that Memphis series Golden State series those

Guys are very capable and willing Shooters um in big moments and and you saw it you know on display tonight in that stretch down uh in that that stretch during the fourth quarter where they you know began to put two bodies in front of Braun and again he made the

Right play and and and they finished the play coach congrats on the win defensively it felt like things changed for the better in that fourth quarter what was the biggest adjustment or thing that you saw in in that stretch I mean it just changing the matchups it was

Great to have Cam reddish back out there uh one of our Elite more Elite perimeter Defenders Austin got some great stops putting Braun Braun took a tough match up with Co why um ruy when he was in there on uh James Harden and you know DLo active ad active ad coaching and

Communicating on the floor uh it was just great it was it was a team effort and everybody was on a string connected and covering for one another and being great on the ball you know that one play with Norman PW didn’t get it off in time

It was a shot clock violation just AR you know active hands all over him in his shirt uh without fing and and that’s the type of defense we need that Pride on the ball and all the activity behind it two quick ones uh Lebron do we know

What the plan is for him tomorrow seize back to back we’ll see uh and staying on LeBron was there a moment in that stretch in in the fourth that you’re like I don’t know you saw something different or you started to think that the momentum had turned for

For your group that you could keep riding throughout the fourth quarter one specific play that stood out in that not I mean not really I had to go back it’s a lot going through my head right now uh I’m sure I’ll see it when I go back and

Watch the film at the AR oneon-one defense up top against Norman PW really sticks out but I know it was much much much more than that uh bronze contest on kawhai kawai’s money shot going to his right right side Baseline you know great contest you know him him shooting that

Short ad getting big huge rebounds offensive rebounds but you know it was a total team effort man everybody contributed everybody pitched in Darin this is two games in a row now where the adjustment at halftime in some fashion has been LeBron go guard their best player yeah um or well Kevin Durant

De Booker but you you get what I’m saying where H how often can you go to this um especially with v out and how willing has LeBron been to kind of throw that pitch when he needs to I mean I mean that’s something we try to save in

Our back pocket if we need to get to it we’ll get to it like we did tonight and having cam back you know really helps that cause cuz you know he’ll take early responsibilities and you know he’s on a bit of a minutes restriction but as he

Continues to develop his game legs he’ll be able to play longer stretches Off the Bench and um you know ruy is doing a good job trying to be an active you know highle Defender AR you know we already know what ad is having a defensive player the year year

And so um Everybody DLo being active and aggressive when he’s hedging and talking and just getting in the way with his shifts and activity so it’s it’s it’s great when you can uh call on your best player and and and he’s in great shape at this stage of his career is

Unbelievable for him to be able to do it on both sides of the ball still D Dar what that that particular group that you had out there that was that that one 4minute stretch where you really came back in that lead was I think it was cam LeBron

Uh tan was out there what is it do what is it about that group that that that you liked and how they they were play I think at one point I think ad was going to come back in and you sto him and they are um they just had it rolling they

Just had it rolling and those stretches like that you worry about you know fatigue and pushing a guy you know it’s great when a unit is making a run but you don’t want to push it quite too long um but you know they just said let them

Go and I I agreed I had some timeouts to play with and so we went that route but uh that that but it just a a a unit of everybody that fits it’s balanced you know DLo his ability to play make Bron’s ability to play make Cam and TP that

Their physical toughness and abilities on defense and able to stretch the floor and make threes and then Jackson constantly putting pressure on the rim with his Dynamic rolling um getting hands on balls in terms of offensive rebounds and just the speed of that group the speed of that group is another

Thing that that makes it really effective you mentioned the energy and momentum in the fourth quarter and you guys came out the gate strong but where were the breakdowns in the second and third quarters that caused that energy to ultimately fade uh I just felt like we filed a lot

They had 14 free throw attempts at halftime we foul Shooters um what was the other thing we turned the ball over I think we had nine turnovers at halftime um and you know when when you’re playing against a set defense and you know you it’s hard to

Get anything you it’s it’s you have to work offensively to get good looks um and then in turn if you’re not getting stops it puts a lot of pressure that much more pressure on your offense so it it’s it’s a it’s twofold you know it’s just both sides are intertwined they go

Together the game is a a a game of rhythms and and and runs and and you know you can’t commit self-inflicted wounds and when when you turn the ball over and you foul and you allow other teams free out opportunities at the line you know you dig yourself a hold thanks coach thank

You uh Ry just how was it you know experiencing uh you know a game like this alongside LeBron Catching Fire and uh you know coming back against against a great team like the Clippers yeah you know um I think until the fourth quarter the beginning uh we we couldn’t really

Get in the Rhythm but um those are five guys that got into the game the fourth quarter um Braun um ja TP uh who else was it Cam and DOW yeah they did a good job come uh we able to come out to the game um it’s just the the hustle and the

Defensely they already you know running run and of course the Bron cut the fire but you know it’s a it’s a team workor and we we able to get this DB so it was a great team team win what was it like in the Huddle you know with uh with him

Catching Fire like that you know it seems like it was a LeBron master class I know you’re sharing the floor with him you’re contributing but you know just uh I want to I want more about your experience from your point of view yeah we never gave up you know we we are down

By 20 or 30 or some some point but um we we knew we could have come back and uh we just played together um just like I said the those fourth quarter the guys that um got in the game they did a good job you know uh defensively they set the

Tone you know so when I when I when I got into the game um the fourth quarter like last like five minutes you know we in a good Rhythm already so it’s a it was a great teaming for sure uh hi R um I just wanted to know

Like what’s your thoughts and mentality kind of when you all do kind of get in those slumps and you do get down um and you all are hustling to get back in the game like what’s going through your mind personally obviously you play good defense um and you were shooting the

Ball well tonight but when things aren’t necessarily flowing for the whole team what’s going through your mind just never give up you know we just did that um we we never gave up uh even though it was like down 20 30 know we we are ready

To we are ready to compete and we we made a good run so you know I think uh they relaxed a little bit you know the Clippers and we we kind of got to the you know little um little bit and then just uh yeah just pray together we we

Trust each other we we um we had a uh we had a tough game last game so against the Phoenix so we we needed this one so glad we got this one hey uh ruy when LeBron’s shooting like that how do you keep your focus to

Hit the big shot late like that how do you keep your focus to hit the big shot late like how do you not just stand around when he’s playing that well and still maintain that Focus you know like you said you know he was a he was making

Shots so U I knew that you know last you know the fourth quarter you know I knew they were going to double team him so I was just to when I got in the ring I was ready to shoot you know shoot the ball and be aggressive you know that’s what

They want me to do you know they they told me that from a first quarter you know I kind of hesitate a couple times and they’re like I keep shooting keep shooting so Bron and AD just kept told me this so it’s just to you know I never

You know I never afraid to shoot those kind of stuff shots like you know big shots and those are those are my you know shots so it was easy for me and I knew he was going to pass you know he was going to make the right play so it was good For Who whoa whoa whoa who one more ruy just that uh that fourth quarter and once you checked in and there were of course there was so much momentum going what were you focused on and when you caught the ball in those situations and and kind of knew that

LeBron was going to draw the help how how do you how do you prepare for that mentally once you’re on the court you know I just thought him about you know they he he caught on fire you know he was making all the shots you know the

Fourth quarter so I knew you know um end of the game they’re going to double team so uh they told me to be ready to shoot and just be confidence so yeah just you know it was a practice shot for me you know I always practicing with them and

You know they even the first quarter when I hesitated you know they they got mad at me actually didn’t shoot so um you know I was ready to I think I missed the first one and the second one came right away so I just said you know I just I was ready to

Shoot yeah and then the and then the layup kind of comes as they close out after you made the shot right so that’s just kind of take the yeah so I knew I knew they’re going to close out um hard so I just H you know I just drove and

Yeah made a re layup so yeah it was a it was what I wanted to exactly so yeah thanks all right DLo LeBron obviously has the all of the threes to start the fourth quarter and then later in the fourth quarter when you were in it looked like

There was some kind of adjustment to the action and you were you know you were coming over getting the ball and have that next pack pass over to ruie uh can you just describe what was going on as you how you guys were getting those open

Looks down the stretch I don’t even know I was just trying to play basketball um I seen them adjust make a play just tried to be a high IQ player and make something happen um I don’t I don’t really know what it looked like I was

Just flashing I seen them throw two to the ball you learn that at an early age AG get trapped or post is being denied somebody flash middle so it’s what I tried to do just from emotional standpoint being down 21 early in the fourth quarter to getting a win just

Considering how tight things are in the standing what what can you guys take from that as you move forward uh it’s huge win for us I think this is good um obviously got a back toback coming up tough schedule um coming out Allstar these next 20 games are going to

Be huge for us Key to Our Success um started off with this one I think is great hey dowlo obviously LeBron is LeBron but how crazy is it witnessing a 39-year-old going off and doing what he just did in the fourth quarter uh it’s becoming regular right um I mean how can

You be um surprised with some of the things he does I mean he’s a a lot of guys locked in defensively and and and gave us what we needed but um he’s a huge reason we won this game just from him being him um taking over the game

When it seemed a little Out Of Reach um and obviously as a group we follow it was it was nice to see and nice to be a part of hey dowlo um a lot of people have been talking about your three I call it the chips so no dip you don’t

Dip on the on the three ball that you you just catch it right away and then you don’t bring the ball down just talk about talk a little bit about that you know to to players out there not bringing the ball down getting your shot

Off quick too uh just skill I work on it um I mean it’s the first year I have had to work on things like that being around one of the best players ever um LeBron he he throws some of the passes you’re not expecting um they they get there you

Know it might not be the best pass every time but they get there so for me I try to practice with uh Micah you know and those guys on ways to to to prepare myself for for those game like you know passes and it’s working so D look to your right um

Yep with as many games as you’ve played in your life 21 points come from behind winds in the fourth quarter rather unique does it feel that way to you is or is it just one game out of 82 I mean every game yeah every game is going to present something different um it’s

Going to allow you to take advantage of what it’s presenting or you don’t and tonight we were down we needed something got it out the mud and obviously he he did him and we followed and I think it was just another game on the um in the

NBA that anything can happen it’s never over until it’s over cool you ready down 21 to start the fourth after plle hits that layup LeBron had just to the the threes and all of the different switches that you were calling out getting the Clipper big up what were you

Seeing what were you trying to get out of that and how were you able to execute I’m sorry I’m trying to recover right now um well I mean just try to obviously we knew we was down a big deficit to start the fourth quarter so we had to um we

Had to execute offensively we had to get great shots we had to make shots and then we had to get stops and um we was able to do that I thought the lineup that started the fourth quarter I think it was me dowlo CAM ja and and TP um we

Did a great job of uh of getting stops you know and then uh trying to go back on other end and scoring so worked out well for us to to start that quarter and we just tried to keep the momentum going we made the shs LeBron uh ad described when you get in

That zone as sio mode I guess what’s going through your head when you’re making I think you made five threes in the fourth just kind of that that sequence there of three after three after three um just in a Zone I mean um I know we we’ve kind of heard

This you know what what it feels like to be in the zone you know in our in our Sport and um that’s just the feeling um where you feel like everything that you put up is is going in and you know with the you know for me I just kept it I

Kept it consistent I wasn’t taking ilai shots um I stayed in the course of the offense um when I was able to get the switches I was able to get myself some space and get a couple more looks you know so my teammates did a great job of

Continuing to find me you know and then I just try to dictate the tempo dictate the game you know as we started making a run for it and getting the game closer and closer and closer um so you know just a zone that can’t really describe

It wish you could stay in it forever but obviously it checks out you know as the game ends but you know durage you don’t you don’t feel anything you just just have a superp power I feel LeBron it’s your I think it was 1,473 regular season game of your career

And if we have the stat right it was the first time one of your teams came back from 21 points in the fourth what’s your capacity for carrying this team in whatever aspect that it needs to get be between between today and the finish line and and have a a birth in the

Postseason um it’s got to do what I got to do when I’m in a lineup um if I’m on a floor got to make plays um you know sometimes I got to make even more plays and tonight was one of those moments where I had to make um

Even more plays in order for us to even get back into the game and then ultimately winning the game so you know we um obviously we you know every game is important for us especially you know at this moment um you know and uh we have to approach it that way but uh

Tonight was a a really good test for us it was a great test obviously being down vers one of the best teams in the league and on their home floor and be able to keep our composure um you know to weather to storm um you know and that

Fourth quarter was was very key for us Dan LeBron kind of to along the what what Dave just asked um to still be having firsts 21 years into this um how does that hit you and then secondly um you know you did that in the fourth quarter offensively but just like

You did in Phoenix in the second half you took on a big defensive assignment um how much of that do you think you can do um how regularly can you take that on on the defensive side of the ball as well um and until I can’t do it anymore

Um you know so I’ve been put in a position throughout my whole career where I’ve had to do a little bit of everything throughout the course of a game and um and that’s car me to you know still continue to stay humble you know stay in the moment

And uh stay the course throughout my career even 20 you know 21 years in so um offensively you know our team needed me to step up and defensively they needed me to take the talents on Kawai and uh I mean he’s I mean back toback with Katie and kawhai

That’s a that’s a gauntlet for sure you know for any Defender so just try to just try to take the challenge and uh and hope that they miss and you know just try to make it tough on them the Clippers starts to send two guys to you when you had the ball especially

Late in the fourth quarter DLo and ruy made plays made shots Darman side was reminiscent of last year last season’s playoff run um how helpful do you think this is for the group to see them close the game out the way that they did well

I think uh my guys know I’m going to make the right play no matter what you know so you know if I get doubled they know I’m find the right play uh find the right player um DLo start making himself available when I started getting a

Double and um you know he was able to find ruy ruy hit a three and then he found ruy again he had a baseline reverse um and then I got doubled again I was able to find DLo over the top um for um catch High stay high uh three

Ball which was um a big play for us so you know it’s great um that we can you know lean on our our guys and um and everybody feel like they’re very comfortable making a play uh throughout the course of the game no matter the time last

Two LeBron you you pointed out this is a great test right because of the quality of the team you’re playing is this just a game where as you said you’re in the zone and you get hot or is it a game where you can learn something about this

Team down the stretch and if so what is it I mean it’s a good test because you know um you know anytime you can do a vers a great ball Club um you know that is it can work well for you um and obviously you know tonight was a

Good test if we ever put in that position again we know uh we know how to to handle it or how to go forward obviously You’ never want to be down 21 and the fourth or 19 to start the fourth that’s not ever the the the the cost of

A game but if it happens you know we know we can we can buckle down and get stops and then and and and make shots if if we just you know play the game the right way so um I think it was a good test for us but another good test for us

Tomorrow we got to see how we handle success of tonight by coming in tomorrow and be uh mentally prepared as well last question um hey hey LeBron uh just wanted to talk to you about you know since you’ve been here you always have been the first person in the gym you

Know even with your greatness I talked to Tyrese Maxi he said he went to the gym at 5:30 and you already in a deep sweat at 5 he’s like he’s the only person that’s ever beat me talk about that having that work ethic and that drive even with the greatness and

Success you’ve had so far U I think you only going to get out of the game as much as you put into it you know and uh for me I’ve always wanted to be um you know one of the greatest I ever played this game and you know I knew I was I

Was born with some gifts and born with some athletic abilities um that I seen it early on a lot of people would tell me early on but that only get you so far um um it only get you so far especially in this league where everybody is born

With an unbelievable gift that’s why it’s only a select few of us that make it to this league um so um I just had to put the work into it I’ve always cared about trying to get better and having a growth mindset and getting better and

Better every single year um and try to keep the defense so unbalanced that they don’t know what to do you know because I I’ve just expanded my game um you know each and every each and every moment so I think that’s that’s the most important thing I can give to like the younger

Generation is just like just put the work in you know put the work in and continue to work your habits and continue to put the work in and no matter if you you know you know you’re not feeling great about it or whatever the case may be I think it’s always

Going to pay off because the work never ever you know it never shies away from it I mean you can never shy away from the work the work is always going to pay off you know and uh when you shortcut the process it’ll catch up

To you but if you put the work in you know day in and day out uh both physically mentally spiritually whatever the case may be I think could always pay off for you um you know so for me um I wanted to be great I want it to be great

And you can be great if you don’t if you don’t punch your clock in so I think that’s what all boils down to appreciate it Thanks um Ty was just looking at the um fourth quarter 3916 can you explain what happened in that fourth quarter to you to your team yeah um one was just turnovers in that second half I think they had um we had 11 turnovers for 26 points or something crazy like that like I’ve

Never seen nothing like that before but when we talked about just you know taking care of the ball against this team which we did a good job in that first half only having three turnovers I think and then um you know in the second half we got up and then we turned the

Basketball over didn’t get back in transition and then of course you know BR got it going but and then offensively um we wasn’t you know very organized you know we didn’t get organized um we didn’t do the things we supposed to do and so I take um full responsibility for

That um just making sure we’re organized KN we’re supposed to do and um like I said and then braon you know exploded you take responsibility for what responsibility do the players have to take in this as well since it is it says Clippers team not Tyrone’s team yeah I

Take responsibility though you’re the leader of the team and you know you’re up 21 points and you can’t you can’t lose a game like that you know and so um you know we got to be better but we you know we did some good things you know

But just to lose a 21 point lead in the fourth quarter that’s not like us you know and so we got to be better in that regard um I don’t think that’s ever happened you know in my career since I’ve been coaching um to lose a 21-point

Lead in the fourth quarter but Braun got hot you know we talked about before the game can’t turn the ball over against this team because it’s it’s deadly um you can’t you can’t recover when you turn the basketball over and so um we had a combinations of both of those

Things tonight and then rebound the basketball when we did get stops we didn’t secure the ball ter how do you make sure that you because you talked about the turnovers before the game and that’s been so critical how do you make sure this doesn’t manifest and and continue

On um I don’t know I think we just got to make the simple play you know which we did but we got to be um positive and short what we’re doing you know and when guys are you know out of syn or not in the right spots in the right space and

It is kind of hard to to make the right pass in the right play so our spacing being in the right spots um that’s very important we talked about before the game of just having our spacing right and we just um like I said um in that

Second half well the fourth quarter we just didn’t it didn’t it didn’t look the same as it did the first three quarters so just something to look at something to get better at and you know hopefully we can learn from it and Coach uh you mentioned that braon

Did get it going and it seemed like Kawai wanted to personally take on that responsibility late in the fourth but it seemed like brown was seeking out screens to get Qui off of him and I it didn’t seem like kawhai made a concertive effort to get around to me is

That something that you was in the game plan you wanted to switch or did you want kawhai to kind of fight over a screen try to keep Braun in front yeah no coming into the game we wanted to switch you know and you know our FES did

A good job of you know guarding LeBron the first three quarters and then in the fourth quarter he kind of got going and so we fired and double team and then that’s when you really at his Mercy when he’s able to pass and pick you apart

Which he did in that uh fourth quarter down the stretch and they was able to get some open Threes And when they didn’t score we were in rotation 80 got the offensive rebound so it wasn’t good for us so you so you did want to switch

Late in the fourth with kawhai to and fire yes you did okay yes thank you hey Ty um I know you said that you’ve never been part of a 21 point in the fourth quarter and then lost game uh scoring is so different from when you played now

That the numbers are what they are these days how does that change strategy and energy as a coach when you see your team with the 20-point lead but then it slipping away um like I said it was we did some good things the first three quarters in the fourth quarter just you

Know not taking care of the basketball um not you know good with our spacing not understanding what guy supposed to be on the floor and like I said I take full responsibility for that um we got to be better you know what our spacing and what they’re trying to do and so

Coming to the game we understand that you know DLo and and um Reeves are going to show so we got to take advantage of that which we didn’t do um you know just things that we you know coming into game that we knew they was going to do that

We didn’t take advantage of especially in that fourth quarter so um um you know we got to be better you know we can’t let that game slip away you know especially after playing so well for three quarters so I know you took responsibility for the offense just

Looking a little bit out of sorts there down the stretch what did you see with the group of Russ Plumley and uh PJ together because obviously PJ had a couple of looks there in the corner but pass those down does that make it tougher for those groups to survive

Offensively because there’s just not very much space um well spacing because PJ can shoot it you know he just didn’t you know he didn’t take the shots but we talked about it um two days ago actually when when you playing against good teams you got to take the first available shot

Because if you don’t then you’re going to get a a worse shot or a harder shot you know and so I don’t think that was that was a problem CU that was early on in the game but um you know for me like I said just taking care of the bask you

Can’t give up 30 points on 14 turnovers like that’s um that might be a record in itself you know 30 points on 14 turnovers and then you know um offensive rebounds especially down the stretch you know we did a good job and first half but down the stretch we didn’t we weren

Able to secure the basketball yeah coach was there any thoughts at all to just Blitz LeBron say man anybody but this guy let’s make sure you know we get the ball out of his hand well that’s kind of what the fire does it kind of you know lets you get your

Guys in line to to be able to double team I think if you Blitz and you know he he hits ad in a short row then you’re at their Mercy as well so um he hit a couple threes against the switch then we we went to the fire to get out of his

Hands and then they picked us apart with the fire so um you know it’s tough when you got a double team LeBron you know because he’s a great passer and he can make every pass on the court so you got to pick and choose on when you’re going to do

That see uh first half thing you guys had the three turnovers I know we’re talking a lot about turn but James specifically looked like he was playing faster playing playing with a different level of pace um W up playing I’m not sure how many minutes he played but

Close to 40 minutes can you expect that to be can you expect the pace that James plays at to be sustainable when you need to to do so much scoring providing offense for everybody else guarding bigger bodies like how can you get James to play basically like a clean game um

With as big a workload that he has yeah he can definitely do it and like you said you saw it tonight um especially the first three quarters but it’s hard to play with Pace when you’re not getting stops and then in that fourth quarter we didn’t get a lot of stops so

We wasn’t able to play with pace and get into our stuff and transition um so that’s that’s a um reflection of not getting a lot of stops in that four quarter what what do you feel like is the pattern when James does turn the ball over in that first half he had none

Uh a little tired yeah probably being a little tired and also um teams ad justing you know he’s so dynamic in the pick and roll and so late in that second quarter in the second half they started you know blitzing you know trying to get

It out of his hands and we made the right passes the right plays in that regard we just didn’t we didn’t complete it once we got it to our bigs or once we got it out out of the double team so we didn’t do a good job with that last one

Uh hey coach I know you said you go to your coach to the coaches about a lot of different things U what type of conversations are you guys going to have after this game you feel like it’s back to the drawing board or just a game I

Feel good man it’s over you know it’s one game um played well for three quarters didn’t finish the game you know I um I never like let one one loss or a bad loss you know take away from what we’ve been doing and what we’ve built um

So you know it’s a tough loss cuz we you know up 21 points but this is a good team and when you don’t take care of the basketball ball and you don’t do what you’re supposed to do you know you you’re going to lose you know and so um

We can see that you know and so um but the game’s over got to get ready for the witches game on Friday as tough as this loss may be you know it’s over thanks coach Appreciate Austin what was your observation first from the the bench and then once you uh once you get in the game just of the those play after play of LeBron and the emotional swing of being down that much in a game like this did you feel like you really need to win

And then to the point of actually being the lead late how do you go through that as a player on the court and on the bench yeah I mean once you get the momentum uh in a game like that um obviously in those moments you’re like

We can win this and you feel that uh I think we might have start the fourth quarter with like three threes in a row and once you know kind of that happened you kind of felt the momentum shifting in our Direction and in that moment we

Were like you know we can still win this game and that’s what we did uh obviously Braun had a you know unbelievable performance um but everybody stepped up around him you know got stops and um you know really uh you know competed really hard in the fourth Austin at this point it’s it’s

Kind of expected with LeBron to to have great games but just to see him take over the way that he did in the fourth you know hit five threes he outscored the Clippers single-handedly um what what what did you see during that especially that opening stretch of like

The first six minutes of the fourth uh I mean really just him being him and you know like I said you know he hit a couple threes early in the quarter and uh got it going and at that point you just uh regardless what happens on

Defense make miss you get a rebound you just you look for him give him the ball and get out the way and he’s going to do something special and uh that’s what he did tonight even when they started doubling he made the right play as

Always and uh you know ruy hit a three and they got a reverse layup and then DLo hit a three as well um so yeah I mean like you said you know I think the world you know expects that from LeBron Austin um as this Team figures

Out who it is um LeBron has had to take on some different defensive assignments you had Booker and Phoenix Harden and Norman pow the night um is that what is asked of you guys if you’re going to play a little bit more offensive that that maybe you have to do more on the

Defensive end and I guess how you feel R Rhythm wise on that side of the ball right now after I know early in the season maybe it didn’t go the way you wanted uh really good um I thought we competed defensively other than the first quarter and Phoenix really well uh

After that first quarter I think we gave up 45 I thought we uh did a really good job the last three quarter it was just that you know first quarter that you know kind of put us behind the eight ball and then tonight uh you know what

They have 19 and the fourth or 16 in the fourth um you know with a you know Basketball Club that’s you know that talented that can uh score the ball at a high level and got guys that you know not just get their own bucket but uh

Create for others to keep them to 16 points is is special and uh you know we really just you know you know talked about you know really locking in on that end and um you know kind of making that the staple for our team and everybody

Bought into that and you know we know once we can you know really you know get stop on defensive and our offense is going to take care of itself you guys are about to approach a tough stretch of home games against High Caliber opponents particularly in the Western Conference how necessary or was

This necessary to pull off this kind of win know going into um that kind of that kind of schedule uh all wins are you know necessary you want to win every game you play and uh like you said especially going into a um you know a stretch of basketball that you know

Where you’re playing uh you know high level talented teams uh tonight is a good start but I was sitting in and heard LeBron say you know uh you know tomorrow night’s you know super important to see how we can handle you know the success from tonight so um we

Got to just take it game by game and uh approach every one of those games is um their own thing and go compete um 110% every possession like how fun is this to do as a group considering the stakes at hand you guys are trying to accomplish

Something you know make sure you get into the postseason be able to replicate last year’s success to to do this together with you making defensive plays and ruy hitting Corner threes and DLo you know catch High shoot High LeBron all that stuff just how does it feel for

The group to have this as you try to make this final push uh it’s super important anytime you’re a part of a you know a group or a team that you know genuinely cares for one another uh you know every day you go to work and you

See your friends and um you know you’re going to have a great time um so anytime on the court anything happens successfully for our team you know uh everybody is genuinely happen for happy for one another and uh I think it was after ruy got the the reverse layup I

Was so excited I wanted to push him down but uh yeah but it’s just little things like that you know um that that mean so much to a team once you have that you know as a team then you know really you know the sky’s are the limit and going

Off that that catch High shoot High three from DLo um he said he’s been working on things like that for the first time in his career this season as someone who works out so closely with him what have you seen him you know do behind the scenes and to have a moment

Like that what does that mean yeah I think one thing that you know DLo is so talented uh I think that a lot of people kind of look you know past you know the work that he puts in you know he’s always in the gym trying

To perfect you know what he does uh you know me and him weren’t blessed with the you know most athleticism in the world so you got to figure out uh other ways you can do things and uh that catch high shoe high is you know super important

And uh the last couple games he’s made a couple of them um but like I said his his work ethic is you know almost Seconds To None you know he’s always in the gym you know putting the work in and um you know the the love that he has for

The game is is crazy and I just don’t think a lot of people really understand that about him Austin um LeBron was just saying that one of the valuable things about a game like this is hey if you’re down 21 again you know that you can get there to

Take that out to a larger view what you guys did last year after the tread deadline and that run up into the playoffs I’m sure gives you a baseline of what you guys can do especially with a lot of the same roster are you feeling

That now or not quite yet with this team this year uh yeah I mean we’re not in a position that we want to be in um you know to be honest I think you know before this game we were in the 10 seed and uh you know

However many games left you know you can’t take any for granted and you know that’s the same position that we were in last year uh so yeah you can you know look back to what we were doing to be successful you know kind of just the the mental Outlook towards every game you

Know having to be locked in for you know 48 minutes every single game uh kind of just treated as you know playoff mode right now uh to get in and then once you get in then you know anything can happen you can look back to last year obviously

We didn’t win it but uh going to the Western Conference Finals you know being in all those games um you know like I said you can look back to that and you know draw things from that but you know that is the past so now you just got to

You know do it and do it again thanks a nine straight games at least 20 points for ad let’s go inside the Lakers locker room he’s with Ally ad you guys Trail by as many as 21 to start the fourth there you hold him to 16 when it’s all said and done first

And foremost just defensively what was required from you guys down the stretch uh get stops um Crystal you know obviously Braun was he went to his little sicko mode and um just ran off like 40 straight but um you know we just had to get stops in

Order to you know get the win um I think we have 35 36 point third quarter Norman hit the three to um go up 21 but we able to um you know buckle down that first group that started the fourth quarter uh Jackson Braun cam TP uh you know they

Were able to do it defensively um you know get us going the first like six minutes um and just you know obviously BR you know scoring but they kind of set the tone for us fourth quarter we never you know folded we never gave up we stayed together and stay resilient um

And then guys came in just made big shots Ry uh dowlo um Braun with his Stella play in the fourth quarter and his passing U you know we just had to step up make shots whether it’s you having seen him or playing alongside LeBron when he finds those zones what

Was special about this one um it’s just a big win for us um you know teams ahead of us and you know we’re trying to you know climb up standing so um you know didn’t want to lose two in a row but um you know sometimes you sit on the

Bench and uh you get to witness greatness and be a fan um and that’s what it was for a lot of us tonight you know I know I was watching just being a fan of you know what he was able to do r on but then just the team as well how

How great they’re playing at to start the fourth quarter um and you know me AR is about to sub in and uh we told Coach know let them let them Rock let them go and um then when Braun got a little tired turned that threw

That turnover and it was a time out we like all right it’s time to get back in but um know you definitely become a fan 21 Point comebacks are so unique in the NBA I know it’s one of 8 too but is it special to to get a comeback win like

This oh yeah um it’s hard to win in this league um and so anytime you’re able to get a win um you know it’s special uh you know whether it’s a comeback win or if you have a 21 21o lead and sustain the lead um you know a win is a win no

Matter how you get it done but um it just shows uh the resiliency that we have for sure ad how do you feel on this down the stretch now um you know obviously we play a team tomorrow who’s not playing for anything and but they’re

A young team who plays hard and uh we can’t comeb back this win you know with the loss tomorrow so we got to come out with the same energy we had in that fourth quarter to start the game um tomorrow night and uh you know secure a

Victory when DLo hit that three late in the fourth he’s given the symbol to the crowd you’re noding your head like yeah you know this is who we are early say um I think uh definitely a little like reassuring for our team to uh get a

Win like this uh guys make big plays make big shots um you know we had a couple wins after Allstar but um I think this was a a huge win for us not only just you know the Clippers were just for ourselves in general and um you know you

Know I think this is a big like reinsurance like I said reassurance uh win for us to kind of hopefully get us you know um playing how we were playing a little right before the break Marvin mentioned uh Austin’s defense particularly on uh Norman Powell what do

You remember about that yeah I mean um obviously you know other teams try to Target AR and DLo and you know AR just buckling down and guard Norman I think maybe like 11 seconds or so and um had him fing the ball a little bit ultimately in the shot clock violation

Um you know God’s going to try to Target you know our guys we got to have enough ride to be able to uh you know buckle down and and um just give everything you got knowing that you have help on the back side so uh it was a great defensive

Play by you guys are entering the stretch with significant matchups with teams above you guys in the standings just how important was it get you said it’s reassuring but to come out the win like tonight going into that stretch or going into this kind of stretch we not

Looking about looking at you know the games going forward you know we was focused on tonight and then we’ll be focused on uh tomorrow now uh with the Wizards so U we know we have a tough stretch but we got to take one game in a

Time as a fan of the game how fun is it to be on the court with LeBron when he’s going off like that um I was off the floor when he went through his little stretch I was on the floor when he started doing his passes but um I been

Around him long enough played with him long enough to see and be on the floor when he had those those moments and um he is you know who he is um you know he’s phenomenal phenomenal basketball player and he make a ton of plays um for

Our team so uh to witness it from the sideline uh tonight um you know it was it was definitely a a fanboy moment thanks a thank you
