Bigoted Loser DEFENDS Racial Abuse of Basketball Team (UPDATE)

This is an update to a previous story we covered. Posted by Hunter Bertram of Kxly four news security cameras show the University of Utah women’s basketball team leaving the restaurant crafted taphouse and kitchen. Per Bertram, those accused of racially abusing the team

Waited for the players, then would follow them back to their hotel. I want to be clear about this despicable behavior by the locals, abetted by, in my view, local politicians and a reckoning that must be had. The story is layered, so stay with us.

After the team’s coach, Lynne Roberts, went public with the media. This video was posted. A press conference would be held. We’re going to bring this press conference to a close evidence. – Room outside of the evidence. – Locker. Grateful to see 802.3.1 as any. Let me let me just say this.

He would give tips to his fellow people at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. You know, the one that killed Heather Heyer and wounded others from the Idaho capital. Sun Riley was one of those calling for marching straight through the commons with

That women were given the right to vote. He has been labeled an anti-Semite by his peers. Pick any phrase on the alt right bingo card and he has hit it. Though Riley has denied it. His tweets speak volumes, per the Idaho Capital Sun. Once more, he has attacked Jewish supremacy, Jewish subversion,

Jewish privilege and the supposed Israeli industrial complex. He’s written that Jews control the media and invented terrorism. He’s claimed that the Jewish oligarchy threatens to make us economic, excuse me, economic slaves in our own homeland. That Jewish behavior was the number one cause of anti-Semitism,

And that Israel spent decades making white self-determination in the West impossible in all caps. He’s called Jews our friends, in the same way that Cain was friends with Abel, referring to the first murder in the Bible. Now, speaking of those politicians in his state, it should not be lost on us

That Governor Brad Little, who really put out a PR driven statement on his Twitter saying, you know, racism is bad, hate is bad, bullying bad, we condemn bullying, blah, blah blah. He was part of an effort and signed into law a bill essentially banning Dei.

It is, as many know, the new boogeyman for the right, like woke and critical race theory. Now, why did the Utah women’s basketball team stay in Coeur d’Alene? Let me tell you from ESPN. Several years ago, Spokane was announced as a host for the first and second rounds

Of the men’s NCAA tournament, and there was also a large regional youth volleyball tournament. That weekend, there was limited hotel space. The University of Gonzaga received a waiver from the NCAA to allow teams to be housed in Coeur d’Alene. This area is a hotbed, though, for extremists like Riley.

So this city and northern Idaho became known as a haven for extremism and racist groups. In the 70s and 80s, when the Aryan Nations relocated its headquarters there. Skinheads held parades in the 90s. Activity declined following a lawsuit, but two summers ago some may remember this as

Well. 31 members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front were arrested there, with plans to disrupt a queer pride event in Spokane and northern Idaho. At least nine hate groups operated in the region, including Identity Evropa, the Proud Boys. Act for America, and America’s Promise Ministries.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, as of their reporting in 2018, Melissa Luck, a local news director, would take to Twitter and write this hate has been a stain on Coeur d’Alene and North Idaho for many years, amplified by the Aryan Nations. They held parades down the main street in town.

Their presence was so relatively recent. I interviewed some of the group’s leaders in their home when I first came to Spokane. Utah would go on to beat South Dakota State, but then lose to Gonzaga after this incident took place. That final score was 7766.

As of today, Heath Druzin, who is a host with the podcast Extremely American, would weigh in with this nugget. That’s also important. It was North Idaho legislators who helped kill a two great for hate license plate in 2020. In a way, apparently they were just being honest.

This is disgusting and unfortunately not shocking. And a part of the state where racists and anti-Semites are once again feeling emboldened. An investigation has been launched. We will keep you all updated if there are any stories we missed,
