Lost by a little lost by a lot yeah uh feeling pretty good I think a lot of questions are still unanswered but uh you know what this game kind of came down to uh in a lot of ways in layman terms like the last couple minutes of the basketball game like every game

Always comes down to the last couple minutes the 46 minutes do matter it’s the narrative it’s the story it’s like who came to show who come who came to play I thought the others came ready uh man I gota get that I thought that was intentional uh I really thought this was

Uh a story for the others that really helped kind of um stem some of the bleeding from the first quarter W from the third quarter uh ignition to backseat driving where we weren’t watching how each other we were kind of getting each other’s way for rebounds we

Were um not getting in the way of others for Rebound uh of the opponent for rebounds we were using our hands and letting other people try to take over the game and we could have really just like blown this game open I thought in the third

And um you credit to thunder the others also kind of came together and um gave gave us a running for the game and not not ex not exciting uh people are saying amazing game tremendous game uh this was a gutty gutsy win and we had

To you know kind of take it to them late in the game my opinion is um elated that we won I was really worried if we were going to lose and so um my my temperature is still lukewarm you know about this team right now so instead of

Instead of frigid and terrified well let me answer my own question this is immediate after the game so I’m obviously really Juiced up and hyped up right now what’s up I’m yeah well welcome I am on Cloud9 right now other clouds I can’t lie there are things that are concerning like many if

You look at my Discord logs from tonight I was you would not think I had a good time watching this game um lots of mental errors uh the rebounding situation was somewhat just bad luck but also like just weird bounces I like I don’t know there was weird stuff going

On um but when it came down to winning time without Mike Conley yeah which is another hole like we we need Mike Conley and we need somebody else to fill in for Mike when he’s out because it’s kind of excruciating at times to watch us without Mike Conley um but to win

Without him and have players like NA Step Up I mean n has been stepping up um I mean Kyle is Kyle but like Kyle did some amount of stopping the bleeding tonight I guess maybe um but you know ant coming to play Ant took this game so

Seriously I knew he would um I knew the whole team was going to take this game pretty seriously and I think most people didn’t I mean I don’t think there was anybody on our team that didn’t take this seriously um this was something they circled on

The calendar um and we like we need to win this um and they won it which to me you know of course everybody likes to make the argument that regular season doesn’t matter and to an effect they’re right however a game like this that you are circling on your calendar and being

Like we need to win this game and you win it against a full strength team when you’re not full strength that to me gives me confidence for the playoffs because that means in the playoffs if you have to buckle down just get a win you can do it now of course playoffs are

Seven game series but still this is not something you’ve seen from a timber wolves team besides earlier this year um so I’m on cloud nine I feel really good and this is a good Thunder team this isn’t like I don’t think I mean the Thunder I’m sure the Thunder fans will

Say something to the effect of like you know Chad had a bad game and he did have a bad game partially because of our defense but partially just because of weird hesitancy but you know in overall I mean Shay had a good game uh Jay dub

Had a good game like all the guy all of them had good game most of them had a pretty good game yeah even the guy that I love his hair or loved his hair he even hit some three kenri kenri Will Williams Oh the mullet mullet man yeah I

Missed the mullet um but I don’t know this was just this was an exhilarating game one that I had scheduled to be like hey I’m clearing my day out and being ready for this game so to win this kind of a game to me I’m so relieved so happy I could care

Less about first place honestly but it’s it’s just to win against another top team yeah being F being first place is kind of a mixed bag you have to kind of exceed your expectations at a given night because everyone’s Coming For You everyone’s trying to Dethrone you and

You know sometimes it’s actually nice to have that early on the season it felt like we were we were giddy for those moments to like get challenged and um you know kind of see ourselves uh in the mirror being like yeah we can do this um

We kind of became a little um um pathetic with being on top it kind of got boring according to cat which is super um toxic uh to be like in that mentality and even like losing against the teams like you know the way the way

We do and the way we have and the way the histo historically we have um is just it’s it’s it’s saddened and and kind of like kind of uh dampened the height and the excitement that the season has become for us the second if not the best winning percentage team of

All time in franchise history and a game like tonight really uh affirms that when when it it’s like it it matters like the ball is going potentially to the right person and the plays are potentially going to go in our way because we play in our style in our way

For the first time in maybe a week and a half to two weeks we play defensively the way that we’ve wanted to play and um you know maybe you know Thunder are a little bit smaller slender than us so we could be bigger and shout out to the

Fourth quarter where we started to actually be our size and be being the post and kind of completely take them out of their Zone and out of their element and I really thought that that was the difference in the game was we were big but we weren’t actually playing

Big we are bigger but we weren’t we were playing smaller like they were shooting the three we were matching them and not running in transition you know we were falling back turning the ball over and they were getting a lot of what they needed to do and what they wanted to do

In this game the fourth quarter happened sorry man the fourth quarter happened and it felt like you know CH Chad was a no show in the fourth Kendrick Williams was their second you know best uh leading scorer on the team in the fourth quarter and it’s like that’s what I’m

Saying like we can stop them and we can have the others kind of try to take over the game but like for our for us on our end we could reliably get some offensive sets going and I thought that was huge for us the NES the ant buckets the ant dunk right

These things are huge plays for us moving forward and it was really as you say relieving to win thrilling to win this type of game it was we have I two things I want to touch on we got a lot of comments to catch up on and also some

Throughout the game offensively as well as uh baby Mac kind of coming in the clutch for those moments those spurts uh in between those moments where like in previous games we’d lose leads and we would play game play people like shik Milton and and you know Rudy goar and

Kyle Anderson for periods of time together like we had baby ma actually kind of like kind of punch back with threes of his own it was great to see and honestly the team we need is this is this version this version of this team is when our offense isn’t always going

At least we can reliably have these defensive efforts yes and speaking of which some comments about the defense um wolves defense Ryan Mitchell welcome back to the show woles defense was suffocating at the end that’s how we need to play uh to close out games yes

We this we’ve seen this defense in the third quarter earlier this year fourth quarter a little bit more advanced into the year um and we haven’t seen a lot of this same defense in a very long time so to see it come back tonight uh I mean Jaden

Was Jaden was I mean he was folling a ton but then when we needed him the most at the end of the game boom he’s there amazing crazy what was that fro what I don’t even know what they were talking about I was too yeah I was too much in

It um also Ryan mitell I start to your comments um how about that nasty dunk at the end also he got fouled clearly filed we’re going to see it in the two-minute report which doesn’t mean anything to Timber wols fans um he probably actually got filed twice he might have been filed

In initially when he was driving and then also on the arm so I guess we get to say get an apology from the refs the other day or from a day from now JJ welcome back Chad is having a tough game with Jaden on him more times than not

Don’t get it twisted yes Jaden was huge on chat early Jaden really just had a bad stretch from like the late second quarter I think through like the third and beginning of the fourth where he was it felt like he had I literally I said

Like did he had 17 fouls because it felt like he had so many yeah um then he had five and he just managed that for the rest of the game huge Johnny two times we needed this one morale was down weird for a while yes we did need this win big

Time and then the by way fro finish thank you thank you uh gotta remain competitive all the way through the season we can go from first to Fourth real quick and we still can I mean you know we we are not like suddenly three games ahead but the Clippers I think

Lost tonight yep Clippers lost um OKC loses right now Denver’s playing Milwaukee so like Utah loses Pelicans lose oh yeah that’s good that’s all good so um you know we staying in the top four is going to be close for a while we’re going to have to win so

Consistently to stay in that like top of the top four U but as long as you’re in the top four I think that’s pretty I mean that sounds such like a crazy thing to say as a Timber fan but like as long as you can stay in the top four you’re

Probably good um but man wow all the West Coast teams are playing right now or tonight like uh there’s so many games I know Denver and Dallas are playing right now they’re tight in the fourth quarters that’s pretty cool yeah man oh man oh man will do you want to jump into

The tier list yeah I I would love to I would love to you know like the others for OKC uh weren’t the traditional others like you would get the Isaiah Jo the lukan stort like you know thre Point barrage You’ get you know Aaron Wiggins and his clutch you know rebounding

Whatever he does apparently he does that uh it was um it was just Shay and Jaylen Williams all game and uh the others provided like a couple spurts here and there a couple threes from um their bench but like it was just two players so could we stop these two players um

When it Mo when the moment happened I guess Jaylen Williams twisted his ankle or something and that on Ant step back yeah yeah on the ant step back which is kind of groy he actually broke his ankle yeah and you know just you gotta win no matter how you win you gotta win

You got to close it out you got to put um all ego aside and you know noteworthy in the fourth quarter uh cat didn’t score at all and he was a positive uh force in this game so um do what it takes to to win you don’t need to score 62 points

First but I am going to play God and whoer we grade them sure uh we’ll start with you know what a high but we’ll bring it back down to on Earth slowmo who can’t leave his feet at all or shoot to save his life in 18 minutes scored

Two points had a couple fouls a couple assists as well um not worthy nothing uh a c if not a dowlo I thought he was uh horrendous on defense especially on Shay and they were trying to praise His uh ability on Shay but that it wasn’t there at all and I

Thought he was very reluctant to shoot distribute the ball anything in transition wasn’t transition with him and handling the ball and um I I really just I’m worried about him um long term on this team um but he feels like on the bench and on the court he’s like a

Spirit a body for to keep the The Vibes going the the you know the energy high and I I don’t want to get rid of him for that fact alone I think I know that see that’s the only thing keeping me from being like trade him immediately is the

Fact well first off teams that are not the Minnesota Timberwolves plug your ears for a second um he is really terrible every time he came on the court tonight it was like problems happened immediately not necessarily directed to him but like it because he’s on the floor something else is happening which

Then means something else is a problem so it’s just an issue now okay now teams can start listening again he is the leader I’ve said this but there really is like Aunt looks up to him you know everybody kind of Falls in line to him I’m not saying he’s Pat Bev like but

Like he is one of the only people that really tells it how it is to people and everyone on the team says that which is the only thing that scares me about trading him um because you need to have somebody honest like an honesty person

In the locker room and he is that but can we afford to have those 17 to 25 minutes of him a game where it’s not working because last season it worked this season it’s not um so I don’t know yeah quarter by quarter numbers like nothing sticks out and it’s just you got

To have that visual eye test and what I saw was maybe yeah he stopped and or switched on players and played well played contained and like what you do against Shay is you don’t body him you give him space but like I’m not applauding that I think

That’s an expected output from from Kyle Anderson and I think you know giving giving up you know three or four rebounds and or you know I mean like the passing the ball that’s like expected once again nothing sticks out stat wise I want to give him a c because we won

But like honestly this is borderline D I know I I’m kind of thinking D but I do want to give him some of the credit for standing in for foron but I just it’s just really not good um on the Conley Point sorry as you grade him I actually think it’s really great

Like it sucks to not have Conley out there it really does but it’s really great to have these games without the player who’s been really steadily handling this team and guiding this team to a lot of these wins early on in the season to see what we’re we’re capable

Of like what is the OKC Thunder without Shay like they need to learn that because when they when Shay’s not on the court they are quite the opposite of what they are with him on the court um they’ve been reliably able to get Jaylen Williams a lot of looks and a lot he’s

Been great for them this is like the Jay dub I think they call him but like you know like I’m just saying like we need these moments these games and it sucks that it’s against like the top of the West that we have to experience it

But it’s really good for us as a kind of guiding stick of can we perform without some of our players you know can we perform with ant on the bench Can we perform with Conley sitting in Street cloth um we hadn’t seen that up until

Tonight you know so let’s get a quick I I put him in a c but chat let’s get a quick trade or not trade do you trade Kyle or do you not trade Kyle forget about whatever the return I mean I know the return is important but are you prot

Trade or anti-trade as we move on to whoever the next player is you can say the next player he could get he could get something in return it’s just that his season’s performance is like lowered his value do we trade the way that you know um the Philadelphia traded Michael

Carter Williams after his rookie performance after his quadruple double they traded him after his rookie year and they got so much value out of do we trade slowmo after his like best year you know no we we we we wanted to keep that Vibe going we wanted to roll it

Back we we were rolling into the season with Loose Change like we had things to accomplish and you know he’s been a three this year as opposed to a four he’s been off the bench as opposed to starting and he’s had The Yips right where he’s just not able to shoot feea

Didn’t do him anything and apparently had eye season you know seon he that eye surgery in the offseason that’s got to send back we’ve talked too much about I do forget about the yeah let’s go to some positive uh returns Off the Bench I think Naas

Reed uh despite maybe what the box score might look like um I really liked this game from Naz Reed uh nine points only uh but all of them were from the three-point line in a game especially when it could have really blown out in our the opposite fashion he comes in for

Goar or he comes in for cat I forgot who and he just Nails two threes right away like I think it’s been expected and we need it every moment every every game we find ourselves in deficit and Nas kind of at least for a moment kind of says

Nah we’re still we’re still uh top of the West we can come back in this game don’t worry about it um and I also thought he played pretty solid defense despite you know what the stats might look and um I’m GNA give him a c if not

Like a C+ you know maybe even a B I think it’s a b yeah I think it’s at least a b because I think just like you said I know he was 310 but like those shots were so crucial when he made them um I really liked them I I think the

Inefficiency being three of 10 um really hurts and then being a part of the team that was not rebounding even though he did get a couple rebounds I think that hurts his grade tonight but I think a b is probably fair I think a is a good

One Johnny 2x nasza B big three he got decent rebounds too and I think uh exactly exactly right when his dribble Drive shot is not working at least at least he can do other things too and I think he was also trying to find himself open in those moments where the were

Getting doubled but ant was getting doubled I thought so I thought it was great but I think the player of Off the Bench tonight yeah you know shout out to Troy Bron Jr we didn’t really get a whole lot to see to gr you incomplete for sure but Jordan mclaughin baby Mack

The Baldi himself um 14 minutes 10 points three foul I don’t know and that’s it that doesn’t matter Nothing Else Matters perfect from the field hit two threes I I would want to say clutch but they were just very Pack full threes and we’ve seen moments

Where we’ve seen the worst of baby Mac because he’s he’s graded he’s in these like pressure situations where the game is like don’t [ __ ] it up or else right we might not see for five games and so there’s a lot of pressure uh for him

He’s in a vacuum of like don’t screw it up and you know typically he doesn’t really fall on his on the sword but like tonight we really needed him and I thought he was one of the biggest difference makers off the bench on I want to give him a b if not an

A yeah I think man I’m kind of in between A and B because I I thought like you said there were really low moments tonight for me with him and I I thought that they were like there was points where I was like man is this one of the last times we’re gonna

See mlin out here because like it’s just bad but then he hit those huge threes and it’s like if you can do that as like a third string then that’s huge you know because like that’s the whole issue we’ve said it a million times I’m not

Going to go over it a million times again but like we as a third option he’s great as a second option he’s lacking so you know it it’s acceptable to have him as the backup and hit a couple of these threes like you did tonight but really

You need somebody a little bit more sure-handed so I man everybody’s in between I think everybody’s saying a actually maybe I’ll put a we’ll do a I’m in between when I when a tie I go up so cers I think you’re right on that one I I I I have a

Steals it actually looked like a very ugly start to a n game where he was he was bricking he was airballing oh yeah he was doing it all uh but like really be productive offensively and they were kind of letting him shoot the way that we were letting giddy shoot they were

Letting no shoot U and then he started making them pay and I thought he had a couple really sweet uh like kind of transition buckets too and um even getting to the line which was just great and you know he’s doing this all without really getting into foul trouble like

He’s playing against the best MVP borderline C candidate oh yeah in the west right now and he’s not giving up like a whole lot like Shay’s getting his points against the switches against he getting to the line Against The Bigs you know he’s getting in the line against

Jaden because he’s handsy and you know slow mo slow and stuff like that right but like nikil Alexander Walker can really play like on ball like to the best of them like you don’t see it like that and um for what he gives up on the offensive end he at least matches

Defensively like he’s able to contain and curtail whatever is actually at him I want to give him an a despite the shooting performance that I’m looking at WISE I want to give give him an A and like David Peterson is doing I want to give him the Canadian a

Um so I think we will I I I understand that it’s probably technically a b but I you know the again a couple clutch threes the defense is underappreciated I think by a lot um and like you you said it best he’s playing against an MVP

Caliber player and he’s able to stay on him like that’s one-on-one that’s impressive so um and what was what was Jim Pete saying at in like the beginning or mid like fourth quarter he’s like I don’t know how long you can do this without having n on the floor oh

Yeah especially when Jaden was just getting exposed I think three fouls on a matter of 30 seconds and um like even they switched they had him St out for slow-mo and slow-mo couldn’t do anything to stop him either it’s like you really can’t stem the bleeding when Shay is out

There you gotta go toe for toe when Jamal Murray got subbed out in you know in the postseason you sub out no when he’s back in you sub him back in like you have to go toe for toe because that’s our biggest and our best chance you know they were actually even trying

To switch Jaden onto Shay I don’t know if you saw that it was hilarious like they were trying to get the switch going and um in uh wasn’t working but that’s because n is incredible and very aggressive defensively where it he he doesn’t go under the screen when against

He’s against Shooters he goes over the screen but when he’s against Shay he goes under the screen nine times on because she’s not shooting the three just like little things I noticed that was like hell yeah that’s something that I would instill in all players against this guy but anyways okay jayen

MCD we talked a little about Hugh 31 minutes 14 points five fouls but notably the throw finish a couple of key like um in transition in in the flow uh plays where he was getting his like it’s kind of like fade away from the paint shots

High high arcing one one arm shots and um it’s incredible to have this kind of output from our fourth string or not our fourth string but like the fourth option potentially even fifth option the guys stays ready when ant gives him the ball for three this is a great performance

The stats I think lie a little bit about what he was actually able to do um I want to say B I want to say potentially even a c but you might have something different I think I’m I’m leaning close we’re talking about Jaden right I I think I’m leaning

B maybe even a yeah I I just think defensively he was the fowls are a killer you know and they’re not ever not going to be a killer but yes big shout out Eric for the five gifted Jay owner for the new member I appreciate you all

It once he corrects it he’ll be a god tier Defender more so than he already is so um yeah hate on the ref some more guys J yeah screw the refs screw the refs but honestly screw the refs but I do think that the Jaden ones were relatively um

Relatively fair I do feel like they were kind of um not um as involved as I’ve seen refs be in games and especially like you know no Ticky Tac calls against cat for the most part that’s like a big red flag ant didn’t really get um um a a favorable

Whistle but like he didn’t really get you know it on the other side you know so and yeah maybe we were toe for toe at halftime and they kind of completely blew us out on free throws at least um in the second half but some of that is

Just how we were playing how how Shay can like how Shay and embiid like approach contact what is a contact what is contact they bait you into it situations and they drive into you force you force the ref to do something because you see embiid fall down to the

Ground or you see Shay literally trip on himself but it’s also Jaden’s knee you know so it’s like I don’t know cheating ass refs I love this we got to put this on a t-shirt or something um actually that is fantastic merch idea nobody listen to that we’re doing that we dibs

Um um we will definitely do some of that merch that sounds fun um cool well that’s not all the starters who do we have next well we got our big three um Rudy goar 36 minutes 100% from the floor most of them were little tips uh only a
